We had a nice room and really enjoyed our dinner.
Absolutely everything! Room was clean and beds very comfortable. Evening food and breakfast were excellent
Nothing
The staff weren't very friendly, and didn't reply to a query about some items which we think we left in our room.
Brilliant location for us on a family visit

The hospitality
Creaky floorboards in room, but understand its old.
Great location for Malham, large comfortable room, large bathroom. Very clean. Owners were welcoming and friendly. Excellent food and beer. Superb breakfast
Nothing
A lovely pub, good room, good beer and great breakfast and a very warm welcome from the hosts.
Location was perfect for visiting Malham Cove. Breakfast was very nice, a good selection.
The bed was so uncomfortable I slept on the floor with the dogs. The pillows definitely need replacing as they were very flat. Food seemed a little overpriced on the evening menu, my husband had the lamb kofta flatbread, 2 koftas, a mountain of tzatziki and a hard flatbread for £18.95 was pretty steep. The church bells! I hadn't read other reviews about the church bells, they ring every 15 minutes throughout the night and given the warm weather there was no chance of sleeping with the window closed. The ensuite bathroom was tiny, hardly any room to move in the shower.
Location perfect
No tv to watch the football
The room was fine. The location is actually lovely but marked down as below
The only real problem, the reason for the negative location mark, is that its right next to the church & the bells sound every quarter hour all through the night. I had very little sleep.
Felt welcome from the start. Good friendly staff. Food was excellent and they provided me with food to go due to 4am start. The pb had a nice vibe and there were lots of reserved tables - say no more!!
They had done the best they could with a very old building keeping its original use
It’s a traditional inn
Excellent room, staff and menu

Lovely family run pub. We sat and did the quiz with all the locals and were made to feel very welcome. Gorgeous freshly cooked breakfast the following morning.
A slightly later check out would be nice, 10.30 is early to have breakfast, get organised and out. No TV in the room, not a deal breaker as we were only there one night
Lovely quiet location, good food, great beers.
The food was really good. The room was clean and shower was good (if compact - no room for shelves to accommodate shower gels etc). Staff were also very good, polite and friendly.
There was no TV in the room (maybe not everyone's preference but something I'd like to have had). I also didn't sleep very well. The taps were really noisy as were floorboard noises so you could hear people walking around in adjacent rooms. I could also hear snoring in the next room. There is also a church to the rear of the property which rings bells every 15 mins!
What stands out most is the staff. Peter was thoughtful and kind, and he made everything easy for us. We were traveling with a motorhome, and he helped arrange the parking without any hassle.
Everything to like if you want a lovely, old, authentic country pub offering a comfortable stay after a walk or tour in the Dales. Fabulous freshly cooked pub food. Lovely room. Great and friendly service.

This is a traditional good pub run by a landlord and landlady who take personal pride in the good service they provide. In a lovely location it has good accommodation at a reasonable cost and excellent food
We stayed with another couple for a night away walking Room was lovely, food was delicious and staff were really friendly The real ale was excellent too

Lovely and clean, excellent facilities. The food was delicious from the main menu and breakfast was high quality
Lovely friendly staff, food was amazing both breakfast and evening meal we had. Rooms were well equipped and comfy. Great location
Good pub rooms, great location near to Malham. Coffee pod machine in room. Really lovely breakfast
Very small bathroom.
Excellent hotel to stay ,staff/food were amazing
There was nothing not to like

Food
Traditional pub with helpful, friendly staff. Great food..the ginger sponge pudding is amazing! Ended the night chatting to locals having a great craic! Would really recommend a stay here.
Great location, nice room and comfy bed. Shower was a little on the small side but no real problem. Didn’t have any food or drinks so can’t comment.
Nothing I can think of.

Tranquil pub good food.
VERY friendly staff, and very welcoming. Excellent beer and nice food. The new owners (who have only been there one month) have clearly done loads. The new bed was very comfortable. The bathroom needed a little TLC but was clean and the shower was nice and hot.
Fantastic, friendly, and welcoming to our dog. Food was lovely. Would highly recommend.
The victoria is lovely - great bar with fabulous food and rrally comfortable accommodation in a beautoful location
The bathroom does have a damp smell, but everything works just fine and that doesnt impact the bedropm itself.
The food was outstanding, both off the evening menu and at breakfast. You will struggle to find better. Also, some lovely local beers available at the bar. Staff were superb... I only wish they were as considerate and helpful everywhere I stay! :-)
Nothing major but walls are a bit thin (could clearly hear next door room's conversation).
Comfortable room, good food, friendly staff
Friendly people, beautiful location, excellent food.
Everything was good!
Very efficient Jack of all trades (coincidentally named Jack) Clean and tidy room good meals
Floorboards a bit noisy!!
Loved the cheerful, helpfulness of staff and enjoyed the fact that it was an independent locals pub more than a tourist brewery one. Lovely spacious room, good shower .... actually all good!
The staff, food, cleanliness and bar was excellent.
Slightly expensive considering the rooms were a bit cramped.
The staff/owners, Peter and Jack were the ultimate hosts. very welcoming, helpful with directions to trails or just about the area, provided the best breakfasts every morning, great dinners in the evening and kindly accommodated our need for a timely early leaving day breakfast. our room was generous in size with a sunny window, a big bathroom, generous size shower super easy to use with great hot water & pressure. we loved the really small village feeling with walking paths right out the door. So many wonderful things about the Victoria and its people
Friendly and helpful staff; super friendly to dogs; great food, comfortable rooms/beds and really good showers. Some great walks - from the front door - for morning/evening dog walks.
It was 100% great.
Comfy beds, powerful shower and excellent good quality breakfast.
Room quite noisy as bathroom abutted neighbouring room’s bathroom .
On arrival greeted my a lovely member of staff showed to my room which was lovely . Food exceptional especially the breakfast which is cooked to order . Pub very quaint . Would definitely stop here again.
Nothing it was perfect

Great location, motorcycle parking, fabulous food and great staff! The hotel is in a beautiful area close to Malham and other scenic parts of the North.
We loved everything about the Victoria Hotel
The English Breakfast was good quality, well cooked ( eggs to perfection) and very tasty. Good choice of evening meals, which were also good. Good local beers. The room was comfortable and clean . Excellent location for visiting Malham, Settle or surrounding areas. Plenty of parking.
The staff are lovely and welcoming, there are dog walks onto the moor right from the front door ans the beds are comfy!
All good
Fantastic Breakfast using products sourced from the local area. Good menu available for other meals and a good selection of local ales that are kept well. Excellent location for exploring the Dales around Malham. I would recommend a scenic drive from Kirkby Malham to Settle, which starts just around the corner from The Victoria.
Be aware that the kitchen closes at 8 pm.
Location, and friendly welcoming owners and staff . Both breakfast and evening meals were excellent.
Nothing
Beautiful location, very comfortable bed.
We stayed here on our last leg of the South Pennine Way. The staff were so incredibly helpful and supportive. They let us leave our bags early, and pick them up late, they made up packed lunches for us. The breakfast was fantastic, the beer selection was the best we found in the entire Peak District and Dales, and the evening meal was delicious. We'll definitely stay here when we come to do the next section.
Not a single thing was wrong.
Nice to stay on quiz night as pub opened later. Pies came from a good manufacturer. Breakfast was satisfactory and room shower very good.
The bottom of shower was a bit broken and it did not drain well. The pub has normally limited opening hours.
Great staff and very welcoming The locals welcomed us too and enjoyed the atmosphere The location is fantastic and peaceful
Full of character. Unspoilt
Great location with plenty of parking. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely with a decent selection. Very good sized room for our family of three. We’d definitely stay here again.
Location was excellent and away from the bustle at Malham Cove. Great walk approx 20 mins to Malham. Absolutely brilliant. The Victoria is an excellent base, great parking and excellent staff and owners. So friendly and helpful it was a pleasure staying there. Breakfast was fantastic, bacon and eggs amazing. Thank you
