Bettwäsche braucht nicht so stark nach Weichspüler zu riechen. Die Unterkunft ist so gepflegt und sauber, dass die Aromastäbchen nicht notwendig sind. Im Gegenteil, für Geruch sensible Gäste ist es zu intensiv.

The host Giselle was very great, giving excellent information on how to find the property and was available for anything else we wanted to know. And the massive bonus was having use of the outside terrace, which was a lovely place to have breakfast and admire the fantastic views from the 4th floor...absolutely breathtaking. This property is exceptional.

I think the whole concept of the apartment needs to be reviewed. I travel a lot and have stayed in many apartments, but unfortunately, this one did not make much sense to me. When you enter, there is a large hallway that serves no real purpose. Then you have the bedroom, which is not very spacious and unfortunately has two twin beds. After that, there is the bathroom. There was no possibility to warm up any food, which was quite inconvenient. Having breakfast was also difficult, as there is only a very small table with high chairs where you have to struggle to eat comfortably. The refrigerator was also leaking water onto the food we had left inside overnight. In the bathroom, the toilet seat was broken. There was no air conditioning, only a rather noisy fan. There wasn’t even a ceiling light in the room, just a standing floor lamp, which made the lighting quite poor. Overall, I think there are much better accommodation options in the area.

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Ich bin mit dem Zug nach Locarno ans Filmfestival gekommen und war froh, dass es zweimal in der Stunde einen Bus gibt, der direkt vor der Unterkunft hält. Allerdings habe ich ihn nur wenig benutzt, da ich den Weg zu Fuss von der Piazza durch die Altstadt und steil hinauf durch den Sentiero delle Vigne (insgesamt eine Viertelstunde, hinunter deutlich schneller) sehr genossen habe. Auch anschliessend spät in der Nacht die Viertelstunde auf der tollen Terrasse mit dem Blick auf die beleuchtete Stadt. Tagsüber war es in diesem Ausnahmesommer zu heiss dafür. Im Studio hingegen war es angenehm kühl, nicht zuletzt dank des Ventilators. Eine sehr angenehme Unterkunft! Auch gut eingerichtet, Kaffeemaschine (inkl.Kaffee!), Wasserkocher, Geschirr/Besteck/Gläser, z.B. fürs Früchstück auf der Terrasse ...
Gäste, die nicht mit dem Auto anreisen und weniger gut zu Fuss sind, sind auf den Bus (zweimal stündlich die kurze Route, eine oder zwei längere Routen zusätzlich) angewiesen.

Reviewed Jul 4, 2026Es ist sehr geschmackvoll und doch praktisch eingerichtet. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war sehr angenehm, sie hat alles perfekt erklärt und arrangiert. Die Lage am Hang über Locarno ist wunderschön und ruhig. Zu Fuss ist man in 5-10 Minuten in der Stadt, also perfekt.
Das Bad ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und es könnte etwas mehr an Licht vertragen.

There is a bus stop very close to the hotel, which makes it very convenient. We decided to walk instead. The only person who wasn't too happy about the uphill climb was my girlfriend! For me, though, it was a great workout and a nice opportunity to explore the neighborhood. The view from the terrace is absolutely breathtaking—one of the best views we had during our trip. Inside, everything was spotless, modern, and very well maintained. Communication with the host was perfect from start to finish. We also received several helpful local recommendations, which we really appreciated. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. I would happily come back again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Locarno.

Reviewed May 29, 2026Best thing about this property is the spectacular view from the terrace which is exactly as in the pictures. Spent a couple of evenings there watching sun set and having morning coffee. We did walk down the hill a couple of times but always got the bus back up. The FAIRTIQ app makes it easy to get bus tickets so download before arriving if don't have car. Bus stop is literally on the doorstep. Studio is small but perfectly fine for 2 people, has a comfy bed and plenty of useful kitchen items. It is also very clean. Overall had a lovely stay in Locarno at Bell orizzonte.

Échange clair et efficace avec Giselle, la propriétaire. 10 min à pied du centre avec accès par des marches (avec un bon dénivelé). Parking public payant juste en face (prix plutôt raisonnable).
La paroi de douche n’est pas complètement étanche, flaques sur le sol après la douche.

Reviewed Dec 17, 2025Camera molto carina e accogliente. Parcheggio sempre disponibile davanti alla struttura, anche se di giorno è a pagamento. Gentilezza della signora che ci ha scritto. Facilità nell'accesso alla struttura. Ottima cosa far trovare tutto preparato per chi vuole farsi la colazione (macchinetta del caffè, bollitore, piatti e stoviglie). Bella terrazza, sicuramente ben utilizzabile in estate☺️
Doccia molto piccola e con continue perdite d'acqua e conseguenti allagamenti del bagno... Sarebbe da sistemare! La mattina ci siamo svegliati con una pozzanghera in bagno. Sarebbe comodo anche poter regolare meglio il riscaldamento, anche se la camera era già abbastanza calda. Peccato anche per i letti singoli separati, un matrimoniale sarebbe stato molto più gradito.

Ci ha dato tutte le indicazioni per raggiungere la struttura con un bus comodissimo che ferma davanti alla struttura. La camera è meravigliosa, con una vista sul lago incredibile. L'alba è magnifica e si può vedere dal balcone che la struttura mette a disposizione. La camera ha tutti i comfort. È calda d'inverno e si sta proprio bene

Communication with Giselle was excellent, including the very clear instructions on how to get to the property from the train station and to gain access. Bus stops right outside the door of the building. Well equipped room, very clean and comfortable bed. Very good value.

Reviewed Aug 18, 2025The room was exactly as shown on the pictures and remained despite a heat wave coolish, even though there was no air conditioner. Views are exceptional. The bus passes every 30 min in front of the building. The owner was very friendly and sent lots of information a few days before our arrival.
No facilities to hang/store clothes (except a horse) - one has to live out of the suitcase. A used coffee cup attracted ants (not sure where they came from as we kept the window mostly closed).

Ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass ein Schrank- oder Garderobe vorhanden wäre, es gab keine ablage oder aufhäng Möglichkeiten, Platz wäre ja vorhanden.
