Reviewed Aug 24, 2026The hot breakfast served in my room was amazing, fireplace made a toasty difference in winter. Room was large and comfortable with a generous tea/coffee station including a french press.
I am a light sleeper and struggled with a rooster that crowed all night. Wouldn't have minded an early morning wake up at all but right through the night made for broken sleep in an otherwise, amazing property.

Pity the dishwasher heard about the protests and joined in by failing to show up for work. Not a dealbreaker though got some quality time with the wife over the dirty dishes.

Beautifully kitted out with everything you need and all the additional touches like fluffy dressing gowns in winter and wood provided for the fires, electric blankets on the beds. A really lovely stay and we will be back, hopefully for longer next time

Reviewed Jun 26, 2026We loved our stay here. Jennifer reached out to us well ahead of our arrival and went out of her way to make it awesome. I failed at making a fire, and depleted the fire lighter in the process, and she offered me the last pack she had so I didn't have to go out at night to do so. I loved the bathrooms, bedrooms and the fireplace - and the picturesque garden was such a great way to relax and unwind - it was an awesome stay in every way.

Reviewed Jun 14, 2026A beautiful home in the country. Big beautiful land with lots of roses and huge trees all around. The host Jennifer made us breakfasts and had it served in our units. That was a first for us. The fireplace in our units as well as heated blankets kept us warm and comfy. The bedding was top notch. Everything was spotlessly clean. The host supplied us with wood daily as well as milk and coffees/teas etc. A truly relaxing getaway.

The designated area for kids was kind of opposite of where the kids wanted to play. I think the driveway lends itself to more play with our kids bikes (which was closer to the dogs), and the lawn in front of the rooms was designated for kids. However the dewy thick grass made playing there somewhat limited. Perhaps a jungle gym would help steer the kids away from the driveway.

Everything was to our liking. It was extremely hot in the Midlands and some cold bottled water in the fridge would have been a bonus.

Everything was great but if you want privacy away from other guests then request a different unit at Glen Ormond.

Reviewed Jan 6, 2026I really enjoy the unique interior designing for each cottage, it feels very homey and comfortable. The place is tranquil and really depicts the beauty of country-side living. I very much enjoyed the breakfast prepared for us, expecially the breakfast puff pastry. Very healthy and nutritious options were provided, I have no compliants but compliments :)
I'm not sure if the swimming pool is still available, but it would be nice to have access to that.

The welcome felt a bit rushed and impersonal, with little orientation overall. Not receiving the cottage we had booked impacted our experience. Although the host offered a gesture of goodwill and the matter was settled, it did not change how the situation affected our stay.

The gardens are tranquil, the breakfast was excellent, and the hosts were warm, flexible and communicative throughout. The space is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and feels fresh and new, with all the small details thoughtfully taken care of.
Wi-Fi connectivity can be variable at times, as mentioned in advance. Breakfast is set up in the room by staff, which adds a personal touch and may be worth noting for guests who value complete privacy.

Reviewed Dec 18, 2025Beautiful view, easy check in, all in all great stay. I was upgraded to the cabin because of maintenance. Nice wood stove and everything was as expected. The highlight was the grounds, which were well maintained and had beautiful landscaping. I would recommend, and would stay again.
Location is a little far from anything , but that's the price of a beautiful and peaceful country stay.

The farm area requires constant cleaning. Spider webs build up easily and dust gathers daily. So, that was the only snag.
