The couch in the family has the most horrendous cigarette smell and we had to take it out the room within the first 30 mins. There was no electricity for a part of the day and not informed anything about it.

We had a double bed and a single bed in our room. The single bed had a foot missing thus it moved up and down. We put a pillow under the bed to stabilize it.

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026Aufgrund der schlechten Straßen kamen wir sehr spät an. Trotzdem wurde auf uns gewartet und wir wurden freundlich begrüßt. Das Frühstück bestellt man am Vorabend. Die Zimmer sind sämtlich individuell und liebevoll eingerichtet. Einige haben Ihren Zugang über die Terasse oder durch den Garten. Am Morgen wurden wir fröhlich begrüßt und bekamen ein leckeres Frühstück.
Es wäre schön, wenn es nicht nur 1 Stück Seife gäbe.

WINTER SHEETS - IT WAS FREEZING IN THE ROOM WITH THE SUMMER LINNEN and thin Duve ELECTRIC BLANKET would have been a life saver SHOWER GEL OVERALL MAINTENANCE is in desperate need of attention Curtain in dining room pipe is pulled out to connector, Door in dining room is broken from hinges; Carpet in the room is a TRIPPING hazard with corner turning up Mirror need to be replaced above bed Chair in the room need some tlc as the rules sticked on the wall Mattress is hollow in the middle :(

There were numerous reasons, the tv, microwave, aircon - did not work. They advertised for a in-house restaurant but there was no restaurant facility - we had to drive to the mall to get dinner.

Reviewed Jun 7, 2026There was a huge disturbance of the noise at night while I was trying to rest.The staff was friendly but the noise was uncontrollable from other people who booked in..The shower was not draining properly so the water spilled all over and i had to wipe it myself ...the aircon was cold...the blankets were dirty...it was a huge disappointment...the only enjoyable part about the stay was their breakfast.

We had to call around the place to try find someone to check us in. Tv remote didnt work. Only decaf coffee in the rooms. Literally only 1 sachet of each, powdered milk, decaf coffee and sugar. Bed was rock hard. The plug for hairdryer you literally have to move the fridge to try get to the plug. Despite us stipulating that our breakfast needs to be ready at 8am, our breakfast arrived at 8.30am and cold. Eggs Benedict was served on 2 slices of what they consider toast which was ever so slightly discolored and 1 slice ontop of the next. Eggs cold and hollaindaise sauce terrible. The building itself on the outside, including the wall is in desperate need of a paint. Not the best experience.

Bad service in general spoiled our weekend. Breakfast service was hard to use..... did not fit into our schedule. Booking the night before proved not to be a sensible measure. We were in Vryheid for a shooting competition and wouldve appreciated more accomodating attitude. Staff made such a noise in their quarters, sleeping in peace was a challenge. Other guests were having pool party until way after 22:00 on saturday night. No milk was provided for coffee and water available at reception for R10 was just a rumour. Some plugs in our room were dysfunctional. Flat sheet on bed will be a definite plus.

When I first arrived one of the ladies from reception was very rude.. said I'm not in reception area, she is busy and I should take a seat outside and wait. Luckily 30mins after someone else came pass and inquired with me. Thats how I got into my room, even though I had paid prior online. Was a bad initial start. Everything else went well.

breakfast bad, no baffet. Checkin time, limited for people arriving after 22h00, one sometimes doesnt know the exact time they will arrive. Had to wait for a few minutes at the gate, which can be dangerious. There should be day shift and night shift staff, and a security at the gate at all time. There was something wrong with the electricity socket, very low, my phone didnt charge fully, yet it was on the charger for more than 5hours, very unusual, and I needed the phone whole day, which inconvienced me a lot.

We stood on the gate for a very long time hooting without no response,we were worried about our safety because we are not familliar with the place,we had to call more than once before getting access .☹️ The double bedroom was very stuffy and the toilet was not clean.☹️
