What a fantastic stay at Heimbrygga on Skrova. This was the highlight of our time in Lofoten!
Gorgeous location, comfortably furnished, clean and cosy with a beautiful view. Located above a great restaurant if you don’t feel like cooking and fit with with fully equipped kitchen if you do. Everything you need for enjoying Skrova. Just lovely.
Alloggio molto bello in antica struttura sul porto. Camere essenziali e pulite. Spazi comuni ampi e ben arredati, confortevoli e dotati di tutto. Un piacevole alloggio sull'isola. Buonissimo il ristorante al piano terra.
Die Räume sind liebevoll gestaltet. Waschmaschine & Trockner: toppi ;)
Alles prima.

Veldig lytt
Støy fra restaurant
Det var veldig go mat.Hyggelig uteplass.
Beliggenheten, prisen, maten og personalet. Dessuten likte jeg miksen mellom gammelt og nytt
Lun atmosfære, god dusj.
Kjøleskap fungerer ikke, litt for myk seng.
Very cute place in a beautiful old building on a tiny island. Rooms are cozy, the bathrooms are very modern and clean, and the restaurant is also very good!
I love the location because I came on the ferry from Svolvær and didnt have to walk far with my heavy luggage. The room was cute and cozy, the bathroom was nice and warm, and the "living room" was comfortable and had a beautiful view.
I have to say I was taken aback by the fact that a bath towel was an amenity that cost EXTRA. At this point I don't remember how MUCH extra, but not having a towel was disappointing, to say the least. In the US (where I'm from) even the cheapest hotell offer towels!
We had a wonderful and enjoyable stay. The rooms were spotless and cozy, the living room was beautiful, authentic and spacious with a beautiful view, and the bathrooms were surprisingly luxurious. The ground-floor restaurant was lively and fun, with live music.
Rien
The location was spectacular; the food amazing especially the breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful Would definitely recommend to others
It was lovely accommodation but some suggestions I hope will be helpful 1. More towels would be appreciated 2. More hooks in bedrooms & bathrooms 3. Sign at the front door 'to wear indoor shoes' 4. Clip on reading lights for upper bunks 5. Fix lock for main bathroom door
Heimbrygga is definitely the most charming and hospitable place I’ve stayed in Lofoten. It’s located right by the ferry and overlooks the lovely harbor and scenic views of Skrova island. The place itself is very authentic, rustic and delightfully designed with tasteful touches like a Nordic boutique hotel but without the fuss. The hotel co-owner and manger Monica is really lovely and treats her guests and staff equally well. She was always warm and accommodating (for early check in and late checkout), which I really appreciated. I somehow felt very much at home with the warmth of the staff and the ambiance of the property. Easy to get to hiking and beaches nearby, and food at the restaurant was well played prepared. I would have gladly stayed longer but hope to be back again soon.
I think an earlier check-in would be nice, and perhaps having breakfast included would make this an even better value. But it’s still a very reasonable place to stay and the hospitable charm more than makes up for it.
Closeness to the ferry, kitchen and living room, calming safe space
Location - drunk noisy people outside :), too soft mattress
The guesthouse was charming and beautiful. The location was right off the ferry. Scenic views of the harbor. It was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The food was delicious, I give it 5 stars! Thank you Monica and Mario for your warm welcoming and hospitality.
Our stay at Heimbrygga was an absolute delight, a place truly brimming with both stories and an undeniable charm. It possesses the authentic soul of an old establishment, yet is remarkably well-kept. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the bathrooms and rooms felt as though they had just been thoughtfully refurbished. The common room, with its inviting sofa positioned to overlook the bustling harbour through a large window, proved to be a particularly wonderful space, filled with intriguing trinkets that collectively create a truly unique ambiance. Being there during the off-season meant we had the entire place to ourselves, an experience we thoroughly cherished. We loved every moment and genuinely wished we could have extended our stay.
There was a lively football game being enjoyed downstairs until past 1 AM. The very next morning, at 8 o'clock, a crew with an industrial pressure washer began cleaning the roof directly above our window. We understood, however, that local football celebrations of such importance are rare, and the owner later explained this was the first time the roof had been cleaned since they acquired the building. Most importantly, she was incredibly kind and apologetic about the disturbances, even offering us a complimentary night. This thoughtful gesture truly underscores the exceptional nature of this place; minor inconveniences can occur anywhere, but it's clear the staff and owners are dedicated to ensuring their guests are well cared for. We loved every moment and genuinely wished we could have extended our stay. Maybe we will be back one day.
Simply the best guesthouse I’ve ever stayed at in 20 years of traveling, attention to detail, great aesthetic taste, and an excellent restaurant.
The rooms are very small with bunk-beds, but shared bathrooms and shared living area was excellent. Has fully equipped kitchen. We stayed for one night, so it worked very well for us. I wouldn't book it if I had to stay for a week.
The location is fantastic; very remote but that is rather a feature than a bug here. And you definitely do not need a car here.
Nothing really; the menu was a bit limited the day we were there, but what we got was really really delicious.
The staff was very friendly and supportive.
Charming house next to the ferry port. Picture window in the sitting room looks out over the harbour. Restaurant downstairs. Good walks across island to pristine beautiful beaches.
Everything so good.
Only thing I would like to have there is some pictures / explanation about kitchen and freezer and shared living room. Because they really were more what I expected. If I would know about freezer I would have bought straight away some food more. I understand also that hosts want to offer their food in downstairs kitchen, but still there would have been something about these things. Also because the nearest supermarket is from 1 hour away from accomodation.
Cozy, nice star
Lovely host who was attentive and very helpful regarding the ferry, buses, things to do etc. Perfect location, 10 second walk to the ferry. Lovely building with character. Good rooms, comfy bed and all impeccably clean. The free washing machine is a bonus. Great lounge room to watch the ferry come in. Skrova is a much better option than the mainland. A small quaint village with a beach and mountain to climb.
The noise as noted by many others is a big problem. On Friday people were drinking in the restaurant/bar until after 2 am. All the noise penetrates the bedrooms and it's impossible to sleep. On the Saturday it was worse with music added. It's incongruous having the equivalent of a nightclub on this small island with it's authentic original housing. The point is to get away from the bustle and noise of the mainland. But I guess it makes money. Regardless, if the Heimbrygga wants to combine a bar/restaurant with accommodation, it needs to shut down the noise at an appropriate hour. 2 or 3 am is ridiculous. If nothing changes and you want to sleep, go elsewhere.
The solitude of the island. Nicely appointed location, friendly staff, and good food. ** Reserve place on the boat when leaving!
Perhaps a little noisy from thin walls and floor. Noise from bar/restaurant underneath.
We did not get breakfast
We waited a very long time for dinner, at least one hour. The upper bunk was not secured. I was afraid to fall off the bed.
Beautiful old wooden house at the ferry dock with a lovely shared living room looking out over the water, we loved seeing the ferry's coming in, also a good place to meet fellow travellers. Monica and Mario are great hosts and run a very good restaurantas well, best food we had in Lofoten and at affordable prices. Skrova was our favourite place on Lofoten (together with Reine), it has everything: peace and quiet, wonderful beaches and opportunity to fish or kayak, while not yet overrun by tourists. Fantastic views of the Lofoten islands and midnight sun from the Skrova mountain, which is a 40 to 60 minute hike from the accommodation.
Heimbrygga is a wonderfully rustic and charming property right next to the ferry dock. I was greeted by Monica who is extremely hospitable and welcoming and she gave me some great information on local walks and the nearby tunnel full of old photographs of life on Skrova. There is a huge shared lounge on the first floor, beautifully furnished and with TV, books and a good kitchenette (the photos on Booking.com don't do it justice as the furniture has been recently updated). I ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious! A great island to visit, and a lovely place to stay.
Great location! 100meters from the ferry and 50 to the store.
The room for 3 people does not have space for 3 adults. It is bunk beds with space for maximum 2 adults, so we had to book an extra room on arrival. Their washing machine was in our bathroom so they came in during the day to do some washing. We did not get a room key which was also a bit weird, so we didn't feel safe leaving our belongings behind. Generally quite rude and unfriendly attitude.
Amazing island, amazing stay. Nice bed, scenic living room with great kitchen facilities. Allowed arrival after checkin time and i could leave my stuff after checkout.
Party in the restaurant on friday night was ending only at 3 am, but i was finishing hike then.
