Everything was great! Really clean and comfortable place! We are so happy with our accommodation! The host,landlord and her wife are really nice and helpful people, they help us for everything! We are never forget that! Delicious breakfast! Thank you for your goodness 🙏

The host let us use the entire top floor of his house, it was very spacious and clean.

There is no privacy. The host freaked us out, at one time he wandered upstairs carrying a large knife ( in a non threatening manner ) I had not asked for one, or needed one so it was a bit weird! Le Morne Brabant is a one horse town without a horse! There is nowhere to eat out, no shops and the locals made us feel distinctly unwelcome ( middle of the night a car stopped outside the house and blasted music then screeched off down the road, twice in one night) We left prematurely!!

Wir waren für 4 Nächte in der Unterkunft und waren absolut zufrieden. Der Gastgeber war super lieb, hilfsbereit und hat eine humorvolle Art. Wir hatten das Glück, das gesamte Obergeschoss für uns zu haben. Wir würden (als Paar) die Unterkunft definitiv weiterempfehlen. Für einen längeren Aufenthalt sollte man sich aber ein Mietauto holen. Fussläufig kann man hier nicht sehr viel machen.

Einen Dank an den Gastgeber, der sehr bemüht war das es uns gut geht, er hat uns immer gute Tipps gegeben, beim Ausparken geholfen und die Frühstückszeiten flexibel an unsere Unternehmen angepasst. Das Frühstück hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt,es gab jeden Tag etwas Abwechslung. Der obere Bereich im Haus steht dem Gast zur alleinigen Verfügung es ist alles sehr sauber und gepflegt gewesen. Die Ausstattung war super, es war alles da was man gebraucht hat. (Über die Küche kann ich nichts sagen, die haben wir nicht genutzt) Ein Auto ist unbedingt empfehlenswert, da es in der Le Morne Village nicht viel zu sehen gibt und es auch keine großartigen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt, aber der Le Morne Berg und Strand ist mit Auto schnell zu erreichen. Ein Tipp ist auch der Mangrovenwald der an das Dorf angrenzt und man einen tollen Blick auf den Le Morne Berg hat.

I very much enjoyed my stay, very spacious and clean. Host helped me in so many ways, arranged free ride for me with friends, arranged taxi to activities and on to my next destination. Offered great restaurant suggestions, breakfast was amazing, told me where to snorkel. Really great stay.

Le bruit de la route le premier jour après j'ai pris la 2ème chambres plus au calme.

Etablissement bien placé proche du Grand Morne; les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et accueillants. Nous disposions de l'étage entier de la résidence au R+1 avec toutes les commodités, grande cuisine, salle de bain, espace salon, ainsi qu'une grande terrasse.

Le vitrage de la chambre est peu performant d'un point de vue acoustique et notre chambre donnait sur la route.

Es stimmt nichts an der Beschreibung. Das Bild wurde von einem Boot gemacht. Weit und breit ist nichts. Das Wasser immer Ebbe. Alles per Taxi. Der Hausherr hat mit mir gesprochen sonst war ich in dem Apartment alleine wenn ich keinen Ausflug machte. Die Tochter hat mich 2mal zu einem Strand gebracht und wieder abgeholt. Das Frühstück war ein Saft 2 Toast, Löskaffe 1 Ei Butter und 2mal Omelett statt Toast leer. Um 10 Euro. 2mal hat die Tochter außerhalb gegrillt. Huhn mit Pommes und Knoblauch Brot. Das war sehr gut um 6 Euro A

Die Aussicht es waren schöne Bäume. Ohne Auto ist es ganz schlimm. Allein furchtbar. Die Terrasse war nebenan

Tout était parfait, l’appartement très grand et l’énorme balcon pour le petit-déjeuner très copieux et les soirées avec un bon bouquin. La vue sur l’océan, la gentillesse des propriétaires qui veillent sur nous, et les nombreux bon conseils ! On se sent à la maison au paradis ! La literie est vraiment très confortable ! Un petit coin de paradis ! Les serviettes sont comprises donc pas besoin d’en prendre ce qui fait plus de place dans la valise pour plus de souvenirs !

Die familiäre Atmosphäre in dieser Unterkunft sind für das Ankommen auf Mauritius ein Geschenk. Die Gastgeber sind super nett und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück wurde liebevoll jeden Morgen auf die Etage gebracht und auf Wunsch konnte man auch ein von der Familie selbstgekochtes Abendessen dazu buchen. Wir hatten ein ganzes Stockwerk für uns, es war alles da was man braucht.

Great guest house ran by a charming and hospitable family who will do the outmost to have a pleasant stay. Huge apartment. The breakfast was slightly different each day. Air conditioning for the hot days. The location is ideal to explore the southwest region. Kayak to enjoy the pleasant sunset. The only weak point is the cars passing by early in the morning but all the other good things exceed that small nuance. We would definitely come back.

The apartment occupies the upper floor of a private house. Small parking area for one car at the front. Very friendly and chatty hosts. Large, two bedroom apartment with big rooms, nicely decorated. There is a large verandah although because this is west facing it does get very hot in the afternoon. It was exceptionally hot and humid when we were there (Feb 2025) and although the bedrooms had aircon (which worked perfectly) there were no fans elsewhere in the apartment or verandah - this would have made a big improvement to comfort in hot weather. The apartment is located across the road from a small beach. Handy location for climbing Morne Brabant mountain (about 4 km to the start of the trail).

Fans would have been good considering the heat. There aren't really any shops or restaurants close by (well there is one small restaurant along the road but it was closed when we were there). You do need a car if staying here as there are several restaurants and a big supermarket in nearby La Gaulette, just 10 minutes drive away but over an hour and a half walk - so not a problem if you are driving. There is a bit of road noise.

The apartment is spacious, very clean, including a balcony with a view od the greenery. The host family is very kind, friendly and hospitable. We had exceptional rich breakfast every day.

Other reviews are correct the house is next to noisy road. However we did not find it as unpleasant as it seems because cars usually pass by at occasional intervals. Some reviews are also correct that some ants and lizards might be found inside the house but we saw them all around the island as the climate is perfect for them and they are totally harmless :)

A beautiful, clean, and spacious apartment with a modern, stylish design. The large terrace offers an amazing view, perfect for relaxing. Beach is right accros the street, perfect location. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home throughout our stay. We had such a great time that we ended up extending our visit. I highly recommend this place—you’ll be thoroughly satisfied!

I did not stay at the property as my plane was delayed 4 hours, for which I notified the property through google from Istanbul where my Yurkish Airways flight was delayed. When I arrived at the vicinity of the property, I called the number on the reservation for the property with no answer. It was about 9:00pm (2100) and it was impossible to find the property. I saw no signage on any property that indicated I was at the correct location. I used google maps to locate the property location. I went to Lux Resorts where Damien the property customer service person tried to assist me. Damien could also not get an answer to her 5 or 6 calls to the Residence au bout du morne. Damien set me up at Vicky’s Guest House where I stayed for the 2 days.

Huge apartment - the whole top floor above the owners.. A well equipped kitchen/dining area with coffee- maker, hob, microwave, large fridge-freezer, kettle and sandwich-toaster.- Smart TV and sofa in the lounge, the bedroom tastefully decorated with a very comfortable king bed, dressing table and lockable wardrobes - lovely bathroom with walk in shower( diffuser hairdryer a bonus). Huge terrace with lots of comfortable chairs and places to eat looking over the ocean and the mango trees.

Just a minor thing - Could do with more kitchen utensils - colander/sieve, small bowls, and a dustpan and brush/ broom. Road a little noisy at times as single, glazed windows - bring earplugs if light sleeper.

The hostel is very good. The price is reasonable. The folks there are very kind, willing to help, especially the young girl. If I go to the montains next time with friends, I will definitely stay there again, for they provide the spcecial service! The only bad thing is we chosed the wrong platform to rent a car, Discovercars.com, which is a scam. It asked us to buy Full Coverage and deposit 500 Euros. And when you return the car with a scratch, that 500 Euros are gone. They told us they would refund us the 500 Euros in 15 days, and it has been about 30 days since they wrote us. Now, no matter how you contact Discoverers.com, there is no reply. Also, we booked a SUV, but given a mini car. Would you spend time to argue with them to ruin your holiday? This bunch of guys just took the money and disappeared! I figured Trustpilot is their partner! 请切记，Discovercars.com是个骗子平台

Very nice family owned apartment with a large dining room and kitchen. It had everything that we could possible need. Our hosts cooked us a fabulous mael that they brought to our apartment. It was probably better than a restaurant but we paid resturant price for it. I would recommend staying there and you need your own car to investigate all the cool places in the area. The is a parking spot in front in the house.

It was clean, bigger than the pictures, beautifully decorated and with a lot more common space outside the room itself which was amazing. Sonia and her family were very welcoming and helpful.

Welcoming hosts and very comfortable bed! Best sleep we had in Mauritius. We had the whole upstairs floor to ourselves, including a bathroom, kitchen, living room and balcony. Very clean too.

I wasn't expecting to get a whole floor to myself in a Mauritian home: it was a very pleasant surprise! The property photos don't do it justice. It's spacious, comfortable and comes with a fully-equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom. I wished I could have stayed longer. The host family are incredibly kind and helpful; they went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed - and they were my favourite part of my stay. The daughters, Dreanne and Sonia, have excellent English and the whole family made me feel very welcome. Merci à tous!

I was not at all confident getting in and out of the parking space on their drive, but the family helped by watching me and directing me so I could safely find a gap in the traffic.

What a great experience we had at this place. Mr. GiGi and Sonia were amazing hosts and made us comfortable. They gave us every little thing we asked for without hesitating and also helped us with the what all places to go. What we loved the most was that it felt like our own house with so much space and the house was equipped with every little thing you need to survive the out the day. We were touring around the country and preferred warming/cooking inside the house which was extremely convenient for us.

We had a wonderful stay with great hosts. They are super friendly and the dinner is absolutely worth it. Also a lovely breakfast. The house is located very close to the beach. It's helpful to speak some words of french, but english will also work. Would definitely recommend!

The hosts helped us with everything. We had many great conversations with them that we enjoyed a lot. The breakfasts they made were superb.

the accommodation is at the 1st floor of a big house, the owners are living in the house. we had full access to the apartment and to a large and beautiful terrace. Host very kind, helped us with all requests. location is on the main road, just near the see and quite close to Le Morne beach / area. There is also posibility to park the car at the property. Breakfast was excellent.

The host was amazing! Whole family looks after the residence and helps with any needs. The breakfast was stunning and delicious. We couldn't eat all! Room was very spacious and bed is very comfortable. The air condition worked well. There is also parking slot for a car in front of the building. It's quiet close to south attractions.

There is no big supermarket close to the residence.

I enjoyed my stay with beautiful view and felt like home. It is located near La Prairie beach, which is only few minutes walking distance away. The host responds quickly to your questions and is helpful. The breakfast is great, especially the local fruits are the best! The bed is super comfortable so after a long day of swimming at the beach or hiking Le Morne, you can easily relax.

Very nice place to stay for a long period. The rooms are big and confortable..there is a fantastic terrace where relaxing and having breakfast , the best done in the island..better than a 5 stars hotel. Sonia is fantastic and helped us with her usefull advices.I strongly recomand this accomodation.

We had a wonderful stay at the Residence au bout du morne and will gladly return! The breakfast was awesome and our special wishes (vegan and gluten-free) were taken into account very attentively. We were warmly welcomed and felt completely at home!

We liked the hospitality of our guests, their delicious food, the possibility to park our car inside the property and the cleanliness. Another advantage is a spacious bathroom with all the necessary facilities.

One of those places where hosts create the magic. Probably one of the most friendly hosts we've ever had. We were with scooter and when we arrived the rain started. So they covered our scooter with some material, also took our shoes inside so it won't get wet. The communication were super easy. our decision to stay here was the best. Also few days later we were traveling around and needed some place to put our scooter, so it could be safe for few hours. Guess who helped us? That's right - they did. The room is clean, very spacious, wifi fast, breakfast amazing.

The best thing in our trip to Mauritius, was definitely the stay in Residence au bout du Morne. Our hosts were outstanding, very helpful and full of hospitality. Meals served in Residence tasted delicious. Facilities were clean and cozy. There was AC in the room and a parking space in front of a house. The bathroom was brand new. You have also access to refrigerator. Definitely worth it.

The family was incredibly lovely and caring! They made the best breakfast we had on the island. We really loved our stay. The only downside was the heat inside the room and noise as the appartment is close to the street. But overall it was amazing!
