Andre es un gran anfitrion. Nos recibio con una sonrisa y nos explicó todo muy bien. La habitación estaba muy limpia y tiene todo lo necesario. Si volviéramos no dudariamos en elegirlo de nuevo.

Gepflegte Anlage. Sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Der Rondaval war etwas kleiner als wir erwartet hatten. - Trotzdem schön!

Wegen der kleinen Fenster und den schattigen Bäumen etwas dunkel - im Sommer wahrscheinlich angenehm. Das Bad ist unglaublich klein. Ein gemütlicher Platz im Garten- vielleicht mit Liegestühlen wäre toll.

We loved staying here. Beautiful garden. Always clean and neat. And the host was very friendly and very helpful. He gives you so many tips for where to go and all that. And absolutely love the guard dog his beautiful cat. Highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed

El apartamento está muy cerca del centro y tiene todo lo indispensable para una estancia confortable. El anfitrión fue muy hospitalario y nos enseñó el pueblo y los puntos más interesantes para avistar hipopótamos nada más conocernos. Además, hay una familia de hipos que viven al lado.

Andre was a wonderful host, who waited for us well into the evening and made time to go through all the details and suggestions. He also came early in the morning to show us where the hippos grazed in the night (and we saw them just next to the rooms late in the evening!). The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and had all the essentials, including plenty of drinking water. A clean and quiet stay in a central location, but slightly on the edge of the hustle and bustle of town, so you get a good night's sleep! Would definitely stay again next time we're in St Lucia. Thank you for the hospitality!

El alojamiento es absolutamente excelente. El espacio en sí es una maravilla: tiene un jardín enorme con plantas y flores súper bien cuidadas por donde, además, pasan los hipopótamos por la noche. La casa está equipada con todo lo necesario y además era muy acogedora y estaba impecable. La ubicación también es excelente, pues está cerca de supermercados, de restaurantes y a pocos minutos de las atracciones principales. A parte de todo esto, hay una cosa que hace de este alojamiento el lugar ideal en el que quedarse en St. Lucía, y ese es Andre. No solo es muy amable y hospitalario, si no que, además hace todo lo posible por hacer de tu estancia algo único. Nos enseñó y explicó con mucho cariño todas las plantas que tenía en su precioso jardín, nos presentó a sus gatitos, que son una monada, y alimentó nuestra curiosidad sobre todo lo que quisiéramos saber sobre St. Lucía. Nos enseñó el atardecer más bonito que hemos visto en nuestras vidas y nos indicó por dónde subían los hipopótamos por la noche al pueblo. Gracias a eso, pudimos verlo con nuestros propios ojos. Sin duda, creo que es el mejor alojamiento que hay en St. Lucia. Gracias, André!! Eres el mejor! Un abrazo enorme desde España

Het bed lag top en dat is het belangrijkste. Verder ligt het net even buiten de drukte dus rustig. Tenslotte was Andre, de gastheer, zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Goedevtips en hij regelde zelfs onze boottrip.

La ubicación céntrica y a la vez tranquila, el bungalow es bonito y tiene de todo, el lugar es un paraíso, con un jardín cuidado al detalle, y el propietario, André, es el mejor anfitrión que he conocido, hasta nos acompañó a enseñarnos dónde podríamos encontrar hipos por la noche, nos enseñó huellas, nos explicó anécdotas y curiosidades, un 10. GRACIAS ANDRÉ!

The property is beautiful, welcoming, and spotlessly clean. The garden is stunning and meticulously maintained, making the stay even more enjoyable. A special thanks to Mr. Andre for his kindness, excellent recommendations, and the fascinating stories he shared with us about St. Lucia, which made our experience even more authentic. Highly recommended, we would gladly stay here again!

It’s in a very nice garden and we had a comfortable and peaceful sleep. Bed was comfortable. The host is a nice friendly guy. Good location. Right near main area but quiet

They don’t have any soaps at all in the bathrooms. The smaller chalet was leaking in the rain but he said he will fix it immediately. Slightly expensive in my opinion.

Wat een prachtige locatie! Een heerlijk rustig, stil plekje in een gezellig druk dorpje. De gastheer was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam, en zijn kat is echt superlief!

La casa è fantastica, e il proprietario altrettanto. Posizione stupenda, immersa in un parco (da noi utilizzato per degustare vino e assaggi di prodotti locali), con alberi secolari e uccelli ma frequentato anche da ippopotami e facoceri. André ci ha suggerito un sacco di attività magnifiche ed emozionanti e ci ha aiutato nella prenotazione della crociera per vedere da vicino gli ippopotami. La casa è ampia, spaziosa e molto pulita (tutti i giorni effettuano le pulizie e rifanno il letto). Assolutamente consigliato!

Andre was an exceptional host. He made us feel so welcome and gave us lots of tips on the area which made the trip! His accommodation was so comfortable, it had everything we needed. Loved the hippo footprints in the morning and his cat:)

Absolute gem of a place ! The owner is very welcoming and generous with the best tips about the area. The cabins are amazing with everything one needs for a perfect stay. The location is both close enough to town that you can get there easily and quickly by foot but also far enough that it is very quiet. I would definitely love to stay there again.

This is a beautiful place to stay. The property only has a few cottages set among the trees and tranquil garden. However, it is only a few minutes' walk to the bakery, supermarket, restaurants etc. The cottage was very comfortable with a large bed, an excellent shower, and a full kitchen. Clean, filtered water was also provided. The owner went above and beyond to make us welcome and comfortable. He was very eager to help us in any way he could. He even took us in his car to show us the hippos walking around at night... that was special. The extra bonus was his beautiful cat!

There was nothing to dislike.

Andre was an exceptional host and takes huge pride in his property and gardens! Andre showed me around his gardens and we chatted alot about the hippos and wildlife around St Lucia, very interesting to hear about the beautiful town. The chalet was beautifully kept and spotlessly clean and very comfy. Will definitely be back again!!

This is a great location not far from all the night life of St Lucia - including the hippos path in and out of the river. The lodge had everything you need for a nice stay. And special mention to the host who has a lot of good stories and recommendations to share! We will come back!

Die Unterkunft liegt in einer sehr gepflegten Gartenanlage. Der Inhaber bereitet einen herzlichen Empfang und steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite.

Exceptional value for money. Simply lovely. Andre was a fantastic host and clearly takes great pride in his lodge. Room had everything I needed for self-catering, was spatious and clean, great shower, comfy bed, and and and... The garden was great to enjoy my morning coffee before easy access to Wetland Park and beaches. So location perfect as well - 2 min drive from shops on top. Andre just a great person as well, thank you!!

Ein Naturparadies das ruhig gelegen ist und trotzdem sind kurzläufig Restaurant, Geschäfte und Bäcker zu erreichen. Der Vermieter ist den Gästen sehr zugewandt. Kümmert sich bei Wunsch um die Safariebuchungen, steht bei Bedarf stets zur Beantworung jeglicher Fragen zur Verfügung. Wir haben gemerkt, dass es André wichtig ist, dass sich seine Gäste sehr wohl fühlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Andre was an absolutely gracious host. We were welcomed warmly and shown around the property. He is knowledgeable and helped us with restaurants, sight seeing, etc. He made our stay in St Lucia seamless.

André nous a très bien accueilli. Il a pris le temps de nous faire visiter son jardin et de nous donner toutes les recommandations utiles à st Lucie. Il est disponible pour nous aider dans notre séjour, laverie, réservation pour la balade en bateau …Tout est très propre, extérieur comme intérieur des logements. Le logement est situé juste à côté d’un bon marchand de glace.

El propietari el es momt amable i t’expli totes les opcions que tens al poble. El lloc es precios amb un enorme jardí. Les casetes molt còmodes i netes si tornesim a Santa Lucia sens dubte tornaríem aquí.

This is the second time I've stayed here. The grounds are beautiful and the accomodation is comfortable. You can tell Andre loves his garden. It is a short walk to shops and restaurants as well. I highly recommend staying here.

The room was cosy, clean and neat. We had a great stay at Lake St Lucia Lodge. Andre was an exceptional host. Very knowledgeable and very helpful. He also assisted in booking our tours and activities and had everything ready for us when we arrived.

Absolutely nothing

The location was terrific, Andrew, the host was a great host, mainly because of the hospitality and the accessibility he offered. Andrew is a fantastic story-teller and he gave us good advice on what to do and where to eat.

Andre was an amazing host whose local knowledge is extensive. The unit was perfect for our stay and the private little garden with braai area was ideal.

Only the mosquitos but that had nothing to do with Lodge.

Andrė is a very nice and friendly host. He gave us, an on his own accord, an upgrade, which we very much appreciated. The room and kitchen was very clean and the kitchen fully equiped. The huge garden with big trees and bushes and plants is beautiful and attended to with love. Staying in Lake St Lucia Lodge, you cannot go wrong.

Rustic and quiet accommodation at the end of the town. The cottages are located in a forest style garden. Aircin and ceiling fan work very well and we had a comfort sleep each night. Andre is a great and friendly host who is keen to make sure that his guests make the most of their stay in the area. We had a pleasant stay and really enjoyed what St Lucua has to offer. Seeing yhe hippos in town was amazing!

L'accueil d'André, ses conseils avisés. Son Jardin est magnifique. La chambre très confortable. Tout est propre et impeccable. Très bien situé. Tout près de l'estuaire. Andre, el dueño, fue especialmente amable y simpático, nos dio muy buenos consejos sobre la zona, sobre la seguridad respecto a los hipopótamos y sobre la visita al parque, y nos transmitió su pasión y respeto por la naturaleza. La estancia fue muy agradable, con una ubicación excelente y con todo lo necesario para pasar unos días allí. El jardín del alojamiento es espectacular y está muy bien cuidado. Además, cerca hay supermercados, restaurantes y tiendas, lo que resulta muy cómodo.

Vriendelijke host André. Legde van alles uit over de omgeving en eventuele nijlpaarden die je tegen kon komen. Mooie ligging dichtbij het centrum.

André est au petit soin pour ses invités ! Il est facile de discuter avec lui et nous avons adoré toutes les histoires et anecdotes qu’il nous a partagées ! Un vrai et authentique moment de connexion comme on aime. Son habitation et son jardin sont splendides. Calme absolu et bonne literie garantie pour une bonne nuit de sommeil. Le logement est bien situé dans St Lucia, à proximité du centre et des restaurants. Merci encore André !!

La ubicación y el alojamiento están genial, sitio tranquilo y bonito, pero lo realmente increíble es la atención de Andre, nos dio indicaciones de la zona, restaurantes recomendados y se portó increíble con nosotros ya que olvidamos el pasaporte en el anterior sitio y él nos movió todo para solo disfrutar de nuestras vacaciones y el recuperar nuestra documentación, es un lugar 100% recomendable donde sin lugar a dudas me volvería a alojar de nuevo.

Host molto disponibile, ottima spiegazione iniziale, con vari suggerimenti, camera carina e provvista di tutto. Il secondo giorno ci siamo ritrovati con la camera sistemata. Un plus alla mascotte, la gatta.

Nos gustó mucho en general. Primero que André fue muy majo y nos dió muchas explicaciones sobre el jardín y los hipos (no tuvimos la suerte de ver a ninguno por allí). El alojamiento era cómodo, con cocina aparte y está muy bien situado en Santa Lucía, aunque por la noche se debe ir con coche. Parking justo delante. Además André nos ayudó con la lavandería. Sin duda volvería si fuera de nuevo a Santa Lucía.

Quizá a la cocina le faltaba un plus de limpieza.

Wij verbleven hier voor twee nachten. Het is een fijne huisje met alles erop en eraan. De host, Andre, is een zeer vriendelijke man. Hij verwelkomt je met open armen, deelt veel interessante informatie over zijn ‘property’ , geeft tips en zorgt voor je veiligheid ‘s ochtendsvroeg omdat er dan hippo’s door zijn gebied lopen.

De gastvrijheid van de host. Lodge is gevestigd op toplocatie met een zeer mooie onderhouden tuin.

Logement très agréable à deux pas de l’embarcadère pour aller observer les animaux, du parc Isimangaliso et à moins d’une heure du parc Hluhluwe. Le vrai plus ici est l’accueil de l’hôte, André. Dès votre arrivée il sera aux petits soins. Il vous parlera avec passion des animaux présents sur sa propriété et vous conseillera volontairement sur les activités à faire aux alentours ou sur la suite de votre itinéraire. Cela fait du bien d’avoir un vrai contact avec son hôte et non un simple échange de clés comme c’est souvent le cas.

En plena naturaleza con un atardecer precioso y a dos pasos del centro, restaurantes y comercios. El propietario muy amable nos recibió y nos aconsejó. Todo lo necesario para pasar unas buenas vacaciones. Nos dejó garrafas de agua ya que el agua no es potable.

L'atenció del propietari. Agradable, hospitalari, fàcil. Haviem d'arribar un mica tard i tot van ser facilitats. Consells de llocs per visitar..etc A més el lloc es perfecte.

Prachtige tuin, goede locatie. André is een zeer vriendelijke en meer dan goede gastheer die tijd maakt voor zijn gasten en veel uitleg geeft.

El millor de tot ha estat l’André, l’amfitrió. Li hem consultat sobre visites al parc, activitats i restaurants. Sempre molt assequible! El lodge era molt espaiós i net. Molt ben situat.

M’ha agradat tot. Pensava que tenia vistes sobre el llac, però el cert es que degut a la vegetació no hi ha cap propietat en tot St.Lucia que tingui vistes directes sobre el llac.

Die Lodge am Ende der Hauptstraße ist in einer Sackgasse in sehr ruhiger Lage. Der Garten oder besser Park, in dem sie liegt, ist ein kleines tropisches Paradies. Ein wilderness trail, der Strand und viele Restaurants sind unmittelbar fussläufig zu erreichen. Der Gastgeber/Besitzer ist sehr nett und um seine Gäste bemüht, bucht Bootstouren o.ä. Eine eindeutige Empfehlung für einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in St. Lucia. Der Bungalow ist voll ausgestattet, nicht posh und sehr sauber.

The manager went out of his way to assist me and make sure my stay was comfortable and my needs met. As a solo traveller I felt safe and I knew that if anything went wrong he would assist me. The rooms were clean, quiet and perfectly set up. The location had wildlife like little deer wandering through and masses of birds. Best of all it was close to town but not in the middle of all the noise and high street junk.

Recomiendo mucho este alojamiento, las cabañitas geniales, cómodas y el lugar bonito. Muy bien ubicado en la calle principal, André el dueño es muy amable y buena persona. Tuvimos la suerte de encontrarnos dos hipos justo en la entrada 😁

Nous avons adorés notre séjour chez André! Un grand terrain, le petit chalet est dans un coin privé avec de l'espace pour manger dehors. Le chalet est super propre, bien équipé et les lits sont confortables. Le logement est parfaitement situé parce que tout la rue principale est accessible à pied mais tu reste dans un coin tranquille donc la nuit il n'y a aucun bruit. André a été un hôte merveilleux. Il nous a recommandés des activités et des restaurants et était vraiment réactif et a l'écoute de nos besoins. Nous avons adorés notre expérience parce que c'était vraiment personnalisé ! Nous recommandons à tous de réserver ce logement!

The location is on the quiet side of the main road, which is convenient for taking a stroll to the shops and restaurants The absolute bonus was the owner who is also the host, I was delayed in my travels and André made my delay a pleasure, André took his time to take me to all the nooks and crannies of St Lucia, meet some locals, shared his St Lucia fishing journey with me and I felt like a local when I left. Thank you André for accommodating me and being so kind.

The only negative thing I could say is that the weather was lousy.

The host was very helpful and informative. The hippos walk right into the garden of this property! Accommodation is basic but has everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Le meilleur endroit pour rester a Sainte lucie. La chambre est confortable. La douche est super. Mais surtout il y a André et ca c'est nulle part ailleurs dans la ville. Il est ultra intéressant, s’intéresse a votre vie et surtout vous donne des informations sur la vie et sur les hippos . D'ailleurs avec chance vous pourrez en voir dans le jardin avec André la nuit. Bonne recommandations pour un tour en bateaux et on peut y aller a pied . Merci encore pour ce moment Aurelien et Emeline André see you in reunion island.
