The staff were lovely especially Chandrani who let us feed the monkey’s, as well as made us delicious breakfasts. The rooms were massive with a lovely balcony and very comfy beds.

The pool was a bit hot but other than that no complaints and would definitely recommend

Very clean and quiet villa. We got two rooms for our family of five and they were both very spacious and comfortable. Also there was common space on the flour with the dining space and lounge area as well as a kitchen if you fancy eat in. We enjoyed the swimming pool with the kids , it was clean and big enough. Our kids enjoyed feeding monkeys in the mornings, breakfast was delicious fresh and plentiful (the usual for Sri Lanka: eggs of your choice, fruit plate, fresh juices, toasts). The owner is eager to help with everything. Location is excellent too: close to the main road and beach but at the same time in a quiet area. Would definitely recommend villa dineha for stain in Hikkaduwa

Очень всё понравилось- от хозяина и его помощниц/ помощников до месторасположения. Номер огромный, в нем есть все необходимое, кроме фена, но т. к. у меня очень длинные волосы, вожу с собой свой мощный фен, так что, если кому важен фен, берите свой. На этаже общая кухня с чайником, плиткой, раковиной, большим холодильником, и другой утварью для приготовления пищи, если кому то захочется что то приготовить или просто порезать фрукты. Бассейн классный, чистят по утрам, хлоркой не пахнет. А уж когда прибегают поесть барандучки или обезьянки, что может быть лучше? Нам давали хлеб и мы вместе с хозяином или помощницами кормили обезьянок, они просто милашки, видели мамочку с маленьким. Также несколько раз видели варанов, рядом протекает речка, они выходят из нее. Единственное, вечером становится много комаров, так что покупайте спреи, в номере их не видели, но на всякий случай включала фумигатор. До пляжа минут 10-12 спокойным шагом. Надеюсь вернёмся когда-нибудь именно на эту виллу- тихо, спокойно, людей очень мало, зелень, животные, в общем очень классно!

Не то чтобы не понравилось, а просто небольшое пожелание- немного разнообразить завтраки, т.к на 4 день, нам уже поднадоело одно и тоже, завтрак я так поняла, не меняется вообще. На выбор три варианта яиц, кофе или чай, также всегда дают сок, джем, масло, молоко, йогурт, тарелку с фруктами, хлеб, и местный блин, забыла его название, все вкусно, но быстро надоело.....

Great place to stay in Hikkaduwa! We stayed in a ground level room which was perfect for my husband who is disabled. Large bathroom and lovely room with air-con and fans that worked well and weren't noisy! The garden and pool area are amazing with monkeys and other wildlife in the garden area of a morning. We were greeted with an icy cold fruit juice upon arrival from Colombo which was truly appreciated. Jannaka (the owner) and his lovely staff were extremely helpful during our stay. Jannaka knows so many people in the area and even helped us with putting together our beach wheelchair by asking his personal mechanic to come and do it! Wow! You don't get that sort of help and service these days! Amazing place to stay! Clean and comfortable!

La camera non ha le dotazioni standard degli hotel nonostante il prezzo fosse lo stesso… anche la posizione sebbene abbastanza vicino a turtle beach risulta lontano dalla spiaggia principale maggiormente servita di shopping ë ristoranti

Het beste verblijf van mijn drie weken durende reis in Sri Lanka. Wat een fijne plek om even ‘thuis’ te komen. Een heerlijk zwembad, slingerende apen in de tuin waar Janaka zelf voor zorgt en een ontspannen sfeer die meteen goed voelt. De kamers zijn ruim, de bedden slapen heerlijk en alles wordt met zorg bijgehouden. Het ontbijt is goed verzorgd en wordt, net als het schoonhouden van de kamers, met veel aandacht gedaan door de lieve dames die hier werken. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en doet er alles aan om alle gasten naar de zin te maken. Het is duidelijk dat Janaka een fijne werkgever is. Hikkaduwa zelf is ook een heerlijke plek om vakantie te vieren. Niet alleen maar toeristen, maar juist ook locals. Schildpadden kijken, surflessen bij Nick Surf School, met Sherin naar de mangroves, heerlijk eten aan het strand en leuke winkeltjes. Dat zorgt voor mooie, echte ontmoetingen en pure Sri Lankaanse ervaringen. Ik hoop van harte nog eens terug te keren naar Villa Dineha.

La villa est très belle et propre, la chambre est grande et le jardin est très joli. Nous n'avons pas profité de la piscine malheureusement car il a beaucoup plu.. Le personnel est aux petits soins, le petit déjeuner est parfait (fruits frais, yaourt, jus de fruits frais). En bonus les singes qui viennent prendre le petit déjeuner le matin (les kids ont adoré!!)

Un peu loin à pied, mais les tuktuk sont vraiment bon marché. Les draps et serviettes méritent d'être remplacées (troués et avec taches bien que propres). Quelques cafards dans la chambre mais le problème a été très vite réglé

The Hotel was close to all attractions, it has a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by plants, palms and cute monkeys. The owner called us to feed the monkeys and we gave the some bread. On my birthday the staff picked some beautiful tropical flowers from the garden for me. On top of it, they helped my little child to remove a sea urchin's spine. Breakfast was great and the room was clean and large. I highly recommend Villa Dineha.

Geweldige mensen ter plaatse, korte wandeling naar het strand, prima kamer en zwembad en het allermooiste: elke dag een familie apen op bezoek die een broodje en wat fruit kwamen halen. Onze zoon vond het fantastisch!

The ac kept turning off all night. There were 30 or more people in the pool the whole time I was there after Friday night. Yelling screaming until midnight swimming then yelling till about 2 am. Not great. I understand they were on holidays but so was I. I could use the pool norcould I sleep. So much for a peaceful weekend. Looks like I paid the bill for all of them. There were no toiletries or soap. This was listed as an item

Very welcoming hotel with plenty of choice for breakfast, freshly cooked and prepared for us. Great location to Hikkaduwa and beach. The family rooms were so spacious on their beautiful large roof terrace. Ideal for our family for 5 nights in April. Highly recommend.

This place is fantastic. I travelled together with my wife and 3 year old daughter. During my 6 day stay I worked remotely for 5 days. The internet worked without any problem. Great place, beautiful shady garden,clean pool. Literally a 3 minute walk from the main road and maybe 5 minutes from the beach. The owner and staff give 110% to make your stay a success. Definitely recommend!

I will not say anything bad about this place. If you still hesitate to book it- stop doing it and simply book a great stay at Villa Dineha.

Villa Dineha is in an amazing location, close to the beach but far enough away from the busy road. It’s is spacious, clean and has amazing helpful staff. The wildlife around the villa is varied and the monkeys are entertaining. The pool is spotless and a good size with a shower and sun beds. Breakfast is similar every day but it is tasty, fresh fruit, eggs, toast, pancakes etc. We arrived very late and the guy was there to greet us with fresh juice and a smile, and he proved helpful throughout. The ladies who make breakfast and clean are little diamonds making the rooms clean and comfortable. The owner is very knowledgeable and helps wherever he can Tuk tuk bookings, ideas for days out. All in all an excellent place.

I felt at home in this place - killer breakfasts after which you need to lie in bed for two hours, the hotel is very cozy, the rooms are very comfortable, a huge swimming pool. I didn't want to leave this place, and even more I wanted to take it with me, since we understood that in other places in Sri Lanka it would be unlikely to be possible to stay in a similar place...

The room was really big and spacious and staff are all really friendly. The pool is really nice and it’s fun to watch the monkeys around the garden. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and to the main road with lots of restaurants.

The room was a little dated with the chairs being quite worn and uncomfortable and the sheets were clean but stained.

The room was spacious and clean, good breakfast, beautiful swimming pool in jungles and cute monkeys, which were coming in the mornings to get some food. The owner of the villa is very friendly and helped us a lot. The staff is happy and smiling, like a big family, and we felt like at home among friends. Definitely recommend this place!

Absolutely amazing place to stay. We have been 5 days and our stay could not be better. Comfort room with air condition, balcony with garden view (once we saw monkeys on the trees 😊). Staff were very kind and polite, always with a smile on their faces! Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit and juice, we have tried a srilankan delicious breakfast one day as well! The owner was very helpful, he explained us the area and give us recomendations and tips for the area. Not very far from Turtle beach where we saw turtles every day. Close to the bars and restorans.

Don't think even for a second, just book!! Where to start? We loved everything!! Staff is wonderful and so is the host. Pool is AMAZING, big, deeper, clean, perfect. Breakfast is amazing, rich and nutritious and healthy and yummy, just what you need to start your day. Ladies making the lunch are the sweetest women ever! Rooms are spacious, clean, modern, bed is so comfortable, nice views from big balcony and the shower is great, water pressure good and warm water available. Mosquito net over the bed. AC is working very good, not noisy, but there is also fan if you prefer it. Location is very good, it may seem it is hidden but just 5 minute walk and you are on the main road with everything close (ATM commercial, restaurants, markets, etc.). This is truly our favourite stay in Sri Lanka by now, we love it so much and want to return as soon as we get to Sri Lanka again. Thank you so much for making big effort in cleaning and breakfast and customer care. We will recommend to everyone!!! P.S. if you need laundry washed and dried, you can also do it at the villa, very well job done and for a fair price. Thank you!! Hearts from Croatia ❤️

This is a nice property in a good location near to Hikkaduwa beach. The property and gardens are well maintained & clean. The host & manager, Janaka, was friendly & very efficient. He speaks good English, so any guest needs/requests are dealt with swiftly. The room was clean, well furnished and bathroom modern and clean too. The property has a big, clean swimming pool. All of the support staff were lovely, friendly & smiley both kitchen and cleaning staff. The breakfast is great. Clean rooms with good a/c and ceiling fan. WiFi was included in the price and worked well throughout the property.

There is no lift, so stairs only to 2nd & 3rd floors. Not a problem for me but may be for those less agile. In the room the kitchenette area was grubby & dusty. Remnants of dried food on kettle. Some utensils looked like a health hazard (see photo). A very limited selection of pans & kitchen utensils were available and for four people I would say inadequate e.g. there was only one dessert spoon but four of everything else. There were plates but no bowls. Also only a single burner hob, ok for me but inadequate for four people attempting to cook for themselves. So probably ok for short term holiday stays, where you are doing the minimum of cooking but more of a challenge for extended stays. You are close to the railway line and a level crossing, so trains can be heard and will sound their horns, some as early as 0530am. It's also a great shame that what would have been a pleasant view from the shared top floor apartment balcony is now dominated by a partially built building.

We. stayed here for the last 6 days of our visit to Sri Lanka. From check in to check out our stay was amazing. The owners are friendly and very helpful, sorting out a transfer to the airport for us. Our room was huge with a great balcony overlooking the front and pool, and spotlessly clean. The pool area was lovely, great for cooling down after a hot day at the beach! The breakfast was one of the best we had in Sri Lanka, very generous. We are already planing our trip back next year!!

The staff were lovely at this family run hotel. Our room was on the second floor with a huge wraparound balcony, it was spacious with comfortable bed and short walk along a back street into town. Brilliant and filling breakfast. The owner kindly organised a cheap taxi back to the airport. Just lovely hotel.

There was nothing we didn't like but for the benefit of the owner, I would put a couple of small arm chairs in the room just for somewhere to sit in the room, this not a criticism. 😊

Extremely frienly and helpful staff. Janaka, the owner and his son are hard working, extraordinary frienly, generous and want you to be happy. No wonder that the guests want come back. Everything is clean, well organized and well loocked after.

Very friendly staff, everything was good!

Coming from the UK Sri Lanka isn't somewhere we would normally visit and i was a little apprehensive about bringing my young family of 8,7 and 2. Well, i needn't have been! Our accommodation was beautiful we had the whole top floor of the villa to ourselves and was perfect for what we needed. Every morning we had a delicious breakfast made for us consisting of fresh fruits eggs toast and Sri Lankan pancakes. After this, we would normally feed the monkeys that would come into the garden, our kids absolutely loved this! The pool area was great, we had it to ourselves most of the time so another big win with the kids. Finally, a big thank you to all the staff at the accommodation every single one of you went above and beyond to make this a truly amazing experience.

Clean with ample space and a comfortable bed. Room also came with a safe that was free to use. The staff were all very accommodating and welcoming. And were very friendly .

As you can notice from the previous reviews, the host himself is great. And everything is exactly correct, Mr. Janaka is just an incredible person: he is friendly, polite, and helpful, and he is doing his best to help you to feel this place is your home. The rest staff is also really nice and friendly people, as well as all the guests that lived there. The villa itself is big, comfortable, and has a really nice pool that can be really useful as there are not a lot of places for a calm swim in Hikkaduwa (most beaches have big waves).

Well, it's important to realize: this is a great place for a BUDGET staying. So the breakfast is really simple, there is a limited number of amenities in the room, and there are some other people that already live on your floor (some of them are families that already live here for almost one year). These are not cons or pros, you just need to keep that in mind in case you are looking for something more luxurious.
