Perfecte, bruisende plek om Hiriketiya te ontdekken. We hebben zo genoten en komen graag terug.

We verbleven vier nachten en door het strand wordt het snel zanderig in de kamer. Het was fijn als ze even langs waren gekomen om te vegen en voor schone handdoeken.

Heerlijke plek om te zitten, te ontspannen en te zwemmen. Keuze uit een lekker ontbijt. Door de dag heen ook genoeg keuze op de kaart. Paar meter lopen vanaf het strand.

De familiekamer had een ruim tweepersoonsbed en een twijfelaar, dit is wat krap voor 4 personen. Op de vraag om een extra bed werd er direct een extra matras gebracht.

Beautiful place, nice Saturday party

The service level is genuinely appalling. The staff is just not properly trained. Housekeeping would go into the dorm at 11 AM and talk loudly for an hour, completely disregarding the possible presence of sleeping guests. They were unable to answer basic questions about the place and requests like asking a staff member to point the way to the dorm because I had gotten lost on the property felt like such excruciating and complex tasks to them that they would just roll their eyes and call a “superior”, who did just that thing all over again. I felt absolutely not taken care of during my stay and other people I talked to shared the exact same sentiment.

Just the location. It was very close to the beach and the restaurant and the food was good.

The rooms were very tiny. The door to the washroom was super low. I hit my head multiple times. Anyone above the height of 5”7 have to bend to get through to the washroom. For $140 CAD, there was no space in the room whatsoever. Just enough room for the bed and a side table. We were so surprised how the rooms looked in real life compared to how they were advertised. Also, we had to make the payment prior to seeing our room, which included no refunds. We didn’t insist on seeing the rooms because we trusted how the rooms were advertised. Also, at night, there was a scorpion just outside our room. The location and the restaurant are recommended but the rooms are disappointing for the price they charge.

The staff is really friendly and it is really beautiful there. I also loved the Hostel dorm, because you have your personal space and a lot of showers and toiletts. You can rent softboards for free if you give them your passport as long as you surf. And the breakfast was delicious!!

Het was een heel leuke en levendige plek direct aan het strand; the place to be! Wij waren met ons gezin (twintigers) en de vibe was super. Heel fijn en behulpzaam persoon voor zowel het accomodaties als de horeca. Aanrader!

Kamers wel heel klein en de feesten waten voor de deur tot laat. Reden voor ons (met kinderen) om eerder weg te gaan. Helaas...

Es gibt einige sehr schöne Zimmer in der Anlage. Sehr geschmackvolle Architektur und Einrichtung. Geräumig, AC, gut durchlüftet, super Betten. In der ersten Nacht konnten wir 3 in so einem wohnen. Die Anlage ist ein tropischer Traum mit vielen wunderschönen Pflanzen und Schmetterlingen. Es gibt einen direkten Strandzugang und ein nettes Restaurant. Der Pool ist sehr schön mit Liegen und einer Dusche. Sehr nettes Bedienungspersonal im Restaurant. Leckeres Frühstücksangebot, wenn auch etwas ausgefallen. Bei uns war es im Übernachtungspreis inbegriffen, ansonsten hätten wir nicht hier gegessen, da es wirklich teuer ist. Tolles Yoga und Pilates-Angebot, in schönem Raum. Coole Party am Samstag.

Nach der ersten Nacht im schönen Zimmer, war dieses leider ausgebucht und wir mussten uns aufteilen. 2 Personen in ein Doppelzimmer und 1 ins Dorm. Während das Dorm absolut ok war, war das Doppelzimmer überpreist und kein Ort, an dem man sich länger als nötig aufhalten möchte. Sehr eng, feucht, dunkel starker Geruch nach Schimmel. Die Preise im Restaurant sind sehr hoch für Sri Lanka und auch für Hiriketiya. Wer eine familiäre Atmosphäre sucht, ist wird hier nicht fündig. Ohrstöpsel nicht vergessen, falls du nicht zur Party gehst.

Als je dan toch helemaal naar Sri Lanka reist, en voorbij Hiriketiya komt, dan is een verblijf of bezoek bij Dots Bay House een must! Werkelijk alles is goed geregeld: de ruime schone kamers, de faciliteiten, de ligging, de bar en het restaurant. Ik ben nu 4 uur weg en heb al heimwee...

Great location, super close to the beach. Really chill vibe. Dorm was semi-private with good shower and bathroom facilities. Took part in 2 fitness classes in Dots Studio which were excellent. Lunch and dinner were great and the staff kindly made me breakfast to go.

The doors on the dorm cubicles didn’t always close properly. I had the first bed so felt that people could see me sleeping as they walked past

Achteraf hadden we met kids liever een andere keuze gemaakt. Zaterdag was er een feest wat duurde tot na 02:00 uur en zondag werd de WK finale uitgezonden. Dit duurde tot 03:30 uur. De plek van onze familiekamer was eigenlijk direct naast “de place to be” en het geluid stond niet bepaald zacht. Hierdoor 2 nachten wat minder (lees: bijna niet) kunnen slapen. Maar het mocht de pret niet drukken!!

Great location 2 mins walk to the beach. Room was a good size, liked the decor and was really clean. Pool was a good bonus, really peaceful.

The room was below the yoga room so was noisy in the morning. No outside space. No windows in the room. WiFi did not work in our room. On the Saturday night there was a dj until 2.30am, the base was vibrating in our room the noise was unbearable, we should have been warned. Security stopped us bringing water back to our room that night! The upstairs bar area was closed so everyone was crammed in together downstairs which was dark and enclosed, it would have been nice to sit upstairs with views of the beach.

Excellent location right next to the beach. Great pool and facilities overall. Room was simple, yet clean and spacious. The restaurant was absolutely exquisite, we had the best meals of our holiday here. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Topplek! Echt super sfeervol en gezellig. Heerlijk zwembad en je kunt er supergoed eten. Kamer was prima. Beetje eenvoudig ingericht wel. Heel schoon.

Geweldige locatie bijna aan het strand. Supergoede sfeer en je kunt er heerlijk eten. Heerlijk zwembad ook. De bungalow was compleet uitgerust. Niet superluxe maar wel netjes. Vonden het wel wat gehorig…. Indien je van een goede nachtrust houdt, check even de agenda ivm feestjes.

Dicht bij het strand, personeel aardig en alles mooi en schoon.

De locatie is fantastisch! Je loopt vanuit het hostel/hotel zo het strand op. Daarbij een lekker restaurant voor lunch en diner. De pooltafel is top! Daarbij een prima zwembad.

Het ontbijt was alle dagen koud, ook bij de warme gerechten. Daarnaast zijn de kamers niet erg groot maar prima als je hiermee rekening houdt.

Wat hebben we een fantastisch verblijf gehad! De locatie is perfect, het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en de cocktails zijn heerlijk. Binnen een minuut sta je op het strand, waar je heerlijk kunt ontspannen. We hebben hier enorm genoten!

Struttura molto pulita e ben curata a due passi dal mare. Si respira convivialità in ogni ambiente comune. Cibo ottimo e personale molto gentile .

La stanza forse era troppo piccola ma a noi non avendo valige ingombranti andava benissimo così.

Atmosphere was very nice and there is a lot of entertainment. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was good but not very big. We really enjoyed our time in this very beautifull and homelike place.

Free suftboards ain't very many. We only get one for two surffers and even that wasn't get easely.

Dorm bathrooms need a refresh. Showers could have been cleaner Musty smell at the bottom of the dorms Housekeeping came round the dorms very early (8/9am some days) and were quite noisy. Disrupted sleep a few times

The location of this property was excellent - right next to the beach. The pool area is also a great spot to relax even with a few monkeys. The staff were helpful and generous with their time.

This property is completely overpriced for what we got. We were in a room with low ceilings that seemed like a converted shed/storage space. You can definitely get better in Hiri for cheaper. The location is the best around which is why the price is so high but in terms of value after that, I don't see it. There was also only 2/4 sockets working for charging phones. We were also due a refund for paying from paying for 4x nights when we changed to 3x. This refund was to be paid in cash and with the currency conversion we were left short by $20-30. At no point in the process were we told the refund amount until the very end. We paid for the accommodation in € but the refund was calculated in $ and paid in cash by LKR.

Die Lage am Strand ist super! Man ist abgelegen und abseits der Straße aber gleichzeitig super zentral. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die gesamte Ausstattung sehr gut. Allerdings fanden wir, dass das Frühstück dem Preis der Unterkunft nicht immer gerecht wurde. Die angebotenen Yogakurse waren super. Wir waren während der shoulder season hier und dementsprechend war es etwas ruhiger als gedacht, was jedoch nicht schlimm für uns war.

Die Portionen des Frühstücks waren teilweise sehr klein und die Smoothie bowls leider auch von der Qualität nicht sehr gut (zu empfehlen sind allerdings die Hoppers mit pork und egg curry). Es kann etwas lauter werden, wenn eine Party stattfindet (dem muss man sich bewusst sein).

Beautiful place, delicious food and cocktails at the restarting, right next to the beach. It was the perfect first stay in Sri Lanka!

There’s nothing bad I can say about this place. It was the best stay experience in Sri Lanka. This is the place to be when you’re in Hiriketiya. It’s right on the beach, it’s got a very cool and charming staff. People here truly care about giving you the best experience. Don’t think twice, book it!

Hostel « haut de game » avec chacun son espace individuels bien séparés par des cloisons. C’est propre, confortable. Littéralement situé sur la plage, l’emplacement est top. Il y a toujours pas mal de monde dans l’hostel ( surfeurs, backpackers, locaux etc…) donc top pour ceux qui veulent rencontrer du monde.

Un peu cher comparé aux autres hostel de la zone Il n’y a pas internet dans les chambres, le Wifi ne va pas bien jusque là-bas ce qui est bien dommage

Really cool accommodation right by the gorgeous Hiri Beach. Lots of interesting socia events here and seems like a good place to meet people if you’re solo travelling.

I’d heard that the party nights are loud and late, so we booked our stay inbetween the parties, so was not a problem for us.

De keuze in ontbijt is super goed volwassenen. Echter als gezin met kleine kinderen misten we heel erg simpele opties zoals pannenkoekjes, croissants of iets dergelijks voor de kids. Daardoor wilden de kids niet meer bij het verblijf ontbijten

Zoals ik al eerder heb gelezen zijn de ramen van de kamer totaal niet bedekt met lichtverduisterende bekleding. Hierdoor waren we elke ochtend super vroeg wakker, tevens start de afzuiging van de keuken om half 6 of 6 uur, deze is in de kamer super goed hoorbaar en daardoor is uitslapen al zeker geen optie. We hadden een verblijf van 4 dagen, schoonmaken tussentijds wordt niet gedaan. Maar dan verwacht je op z'n minst dat de prullenbak wel een keer geleegd wordt en schone handdoeken worden gebracht. Ze zijn de dag voor én tijdens het zaterdagavond clubfeest, veel bezig met de voorbereidingen hier van. Die dag zelf werd ook het zwembad groen door algen. Echter was de manager (erg druk met het feest) het vergeten te melden in de ochtend dat we niet konden zwemmen, waardoor wij er later pas op de dag achter kwamen naarmate hij groener en groener werd. Echter hebben ze alles op alles gezet om het zwembad de volgende dag weer helder te krijgen. Het muziek van het feest is écht bizar, vooral de bass is goed voelbaar in de kamer. Gelukkig konden we vanaf 01:30 am rustig slapen. Mijn persoonlijke advies: Maak een keuze waar je in wilt excelleren. Doordat je als bedrijf met allerlei verschillende activiteiten tegelijk bezig bent, gaat dat enorm te kosten van de andere activiteiten.

I liked you had your only little space and the food. Showers were ok

Quite alot considering the price you pay. 1. There is 0 place to store your bags, you have a tiny safe were you basically have to store your passport and important stuff. 2. The toilets seemed boarder line blocked most of the time. 3. I cheaked in here hoping for a social vibe which it was literally nothing but. I said hello to two people in the room and they looked at me like a i was a weirdo. There is nothing organised for social wise. 4. Suppose to be a a pool party there and I asked about it as soon as I got there and they said they didn't do it, which was the reason I booked.

Great location and an amazing place to enjoy your vacation. It truly feels like a home away from home, while also being a perfect spot to party—you never feel bored, always relaxed. The food and drinks were excellent. A special thanks to Arosh and the entire Dots family for their outstanding hospitality. Definitely recommend this place and looking forward to coming back again.

Nice dorm compartments make it feel private.

Staff were suuuuuper nice Brilliant breakfast Lovely facilities - it feels like a resort! Very clean and smells fantastic All the shampoo and shower gel etc is sooo nice - coconut scented and very lovely

The dorms had dividers which made the space more private, but did mean I didn’t rly meet people in my dorm. Otherwise great!

Tweepersoonskamer was erg klein. Even terugtrekken op de kamer zat er niet in.

It’s right next to the beach

De locatie direct aan het strand, wat erg fijn is. Daarnaast kun je elke ochtend een ander ontbijt van de kaart kiezen, en dat was lekker.

Ik vond mijn verblijf helaas erg tegenvallen. Voor een familiekamer betaal je meer dan €100 per nacht, maar de kwaliteit komt daar absoluut niet bij in de buurt. De kamer had geen gordijnen, de douche was koud en de kraan lekte. Daarnaast was het extreem gehorig. Vanaf 7 uur ’s ochtends gaat de yogazaal open, die zich boven de kamer bevindt, wat voor veel geluidsoverlast zorgt. Ook de algemene sfeer viel tegen. Het voelt meer als een hostel waar iedereen in en uitloopt, met overdag vooral mensen die er zitten te werken op hun laptop. Wij voelde er ons totaal niet welkom en op ons gemak. Voor een vakantieverblijf mist het daardoor echt een ontspannen en prettige sfeer. Helaas geen aanrader.

De kamer was extreem klein voor twee personen, waardoor het al snel benauwd aanvoelt. Daarnaast slaap je praktisch naast de dj-booth, wat een groot nadeel is. Wanneer er onverwachts een feestje wordt gehouden, kun je tot ongeveer half 2 ’s nachts niet goed slapen door het lawaai. Verder vond ik het hostel vrij onpersoonlijk en miste het sfeer en gezelligheid. Veel gasten leken vooral op zichzelf gericht, met name mensen die op afstand werken, waardoor het lastig is om contact te maken.
