Tout. Notre hôte était très accueillant et arrangeant, malgré notre arrivée tardive et la coupure de courant... il nous a fait à manger tard et c'était super copieux. Départ à 3h du matin pour Adam's Peak, vous ne pouvez pas être mieux placés !! Littéralement au pied. C'était top pour une courte nuit. Ils sont flexibles sur l'heure de départ et proposent un TRÈS copieux petit déjeuné au retour de la marche. Excellent rapport qualité/prix!

Fantastic value for money. Simple hotel with good beds, clean-smelling sheets, and exceptional breakfast. We had two teenagers and after the night climb up to the top, the rotis and coconut sambal kept coming. The manager is a man of high integrity, trying to figure out the best for his clients for the best prices. For example, we went out of season and there was a landslide blocking the regular trail. He organized a local guide to take us up ahead of our arrival for a very good price… and he also helped us with transportation onward likewise for Pick-Me prices (as pick-me is not available out of season).

The location was superb — we were right on the trail to Adam's Peak, so there was no need to wrangle a tuktuk to get there. Plus, the owner truly went above and beyond to give us a wonderful stay. The room we'd initially booked was on the ground floor, but the owner said that that would likely be too cold in this weather, so he upgraded us to a room on the first floor. We got breakfast and dinner for the two nights we were there, and everything was delicious!

The water shut off just before we headed out on the trail, but everything was resolved when we got back — just in time for a nice, hot shower. If you're used to certain amenities (i.e. a electric kettle, TV, etc), I should warn you that this hotel doesn't have them. The plus side is that the owner is happy to make you a cup of tea whenever you fancy, and the WiFi's strong enough to handle streaming Amazon Prime or Netflix.

La struttura si trova esattamente all’inizio del percorso per l’Adams Peak. Le camere sono grandi e dotate di acqua calda in bagno (cosa da non sottovalutare perché può fare freddo). Il proprietario è una persona gentilissima e molto disponibile che oltre ad averci chiarito ogni dubbio sul percorso dell’Adams peak ci ha pure accolto con una bellissima colazione al nostro ritorno e consentito di utilizzare la camera oltre l’orario del check-out. Vi consiglio vivamente di provare il suo cappuccino fatto con i grani di caffè direttamente tostati da lui!

Wir wurden unglaublich freundlich empfangen und der Besitzer war extrem nett sowie wirklich bemüht – ich habe selten einen so herzlichen und hilfsbereiten Menschen kennengelernt! Die Unterkunft ist eine absolute Empfehlung. Unser Zimmer war sehr groß, absolut sauber und das Bett bequem und mit einem Mückennetz ausgestattet. Auch die Lage ist einfach unschlagbar, da der Weg zum Adam's Peak direkt vor der Haustür liegt, sodass man nachts direkt loswandern kann. Zudem haben wir uns jederzeit rundum sicher gefühlt und alle Leute vor Ort waren ausgesprochen nett. Ein weiteres großes Highlight war das Essen: Das Frühstück bot eine riesige Auswahl und wurde uns pünktlich zur bestellten Wunschzeit zubereitet. Auch das Abendessen, welches man flexibel bis 17 Uhr vorbestellen kann, war extrem lecker.

An der Unterkunft selbst gab es absolut nichts zu bemängeln, alles war perfekt. Man sollte lediglich bedenken, dass es in der direkten Umgebung außer dem Adam's Peak nicht viel zu sehen oder zu unternehmen gibt, was bei uns aber auch einfach daran lag, dass wir in der Nebensaison vor Ort waren.

L'hôtel est le plus proche de l'ascension. Très pratique pour la randonnée. L'hôte est très à l'écoute et vous conseille et prépare au mieux pour l'ascension. Bon dîner et petit déjeuner.

This is above and beyond value for money and the perfect location if you want to climb Sri Pada as it's right on the trail head. Rooms are clean and comfy, and we were even brought a bowl of coals to heat the room in the rainy season. Food is excellent and plentiful, a massive breakfast greeted us after we got back from the sunrise pilgrimage hike, and the hosts were so lovely and attentive. 10/10

Super gelegen um auf den Adam’s Peak zu wandern. Das Frühstück war richtig gut mit frischer Mango und Kaffee in europäischem Stil, vom Gastgeber selbst geerntet und geröstet. Auch das Abendessen super lecker.

A parfaitement rempli son but

L’hôtel est charmant et en effet le plus proche du début du chemin menant à l’Adam’s Peak. La chambre est propre, spacieuse et confortable et le balcon est très agréable ! C’est surtout les gérants qui sont extrêmement bienveillants ! On y a mangé le meilleur Rice & Curry de notre séjour ! On recommande chaudement le Mango Tree!

Owner is really very friendly and helpful

This place was a full 360-degree experience. First of all, I had the chance to climb this incredibly powerful mountain, but even more than that, I found an accommodation that, as a solo traveler, made me feel genuinely welcomed on a human level. The entire staff treated me like a member of the family, always with care and respect. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, the room had everything it promised, and it was such a cozy place to rest after the climb. The location is simply perfect if you’re planning to hike Adam’s Peak. I will come back.

Unglaublich nette, zuvorkommende Mitarbeitende. Für das Besteigen des Adams Peak optimal, da man von der Unterkunft direkt los gehen kann. Das Frühstück, nachdem man den Adams Peak bestiegen hat, ist super lecker und groß. Man kommt sogar vom Besitzer selbst hergestellten Kaffee (große Empfehlung).

Die Zimmer sind sehr Basic und man darf keinen Luxus erwarten.

Il y a souvent des coupures d’électricité et l’hôtel ne dispose pas encore de groupe électrogène.

Hotel Mango Tree was a wonderful find. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the location is the real winner, situated right at the trailhead for Adam’s Peak, it made for a very easy start to our early morning hike. The food and service, however, were the absolute highlights. If you stay here, you must have dinner at the hotel; the meal was delicious and even featured fresh jackfruit picked that very morning from the tree out front. Breakfast was equally fantastic! The owner was incredibly kind and attentive, even coordinating a tuk-tuk back to Hatton with a driver who was both professional and safe. If you’re visiting Nallathaniya, this is the perfect place to stay.

Dit is het perfecte hostel om de Adam's Peak te lopen, je zit er heel dichtbij. Daarnaast liep ik hem in het weekend (domme keuze) en kregen we van de hostelman uitgelegd dat we een kleine detour moesten doen om de rij aan de top te vermijden en die tip was ons echt veel waard. We kwamen op tijd aan en het was prachtig. De kamers waren ruim en schoon, mooie grote eenpersoonsbedden en een lekker balkon.

Het ontbijt viel een beetje tegen, zeker omdat ik er $5 voor moest betalen.

I highly recommend this place! The room was clean and had a hot shower. The owner of the hotel gave us advice on how to get to Adam's Peak to avoid standing in line for several hours. Without his advice, we wouldn't have been able to make it to sunrise and wouldn't have had the patience to stand in line with the pilgrims. When we descended the mountain, we were treated to a delicious and filling breakfast.

I really enjoyed my stay here! The host went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable stay and was really kind. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and comfortable. The communal dining/lounge area is really nice to read and relax in. The food was incredible and the portions were huge. Tea and coffee was served upon request, the tea comes in big pots and the coffee is picked, processed and roasted by the host themself. The best location for Adams Peak, I stayed the night before and the night after but wished I had stayed longer as the area is very beautiful especially the lake.

Not the cleanest but for the price ok. This area is very loud since they play music and prayers with megaphones on the street until 8-9pm. I guess this is a problem of every hotel in Nallathanniya

The guesthouse is at the beginning of the path to Sri Pada. Terrance, the owner, is a kind man and a great cook. The food is delicious, especially after the hike to the peak. It’s my second time staying here and I hope to return in the near future. Thanks to Terrance and his crew for the warm welcome, and kind hospitality.

The location!! It’s right at the start of the trail to Adam’s peak. The staff were super friendly and welcoming too, and one of them even let me borrow their backpack when my bag broke the night before the hike.

It was a bit noisy at night at first because of the vinicity to the trail.

The location is great. The host was really nice and friendly. The room was spacious. Comfortable to stay. We became very late to climb adam's peak down. The host was really kind and considerate with the late check-out.

They did mention in the detail that the place get little noisy due to outside noises. It's true. Little difficult to find the location. But, the host helped us carry the bags. The shower needs to be improved.

Extremely welcoming host and owner. Delicious food and gracious portions for all meals we enjoyed. This truly is the closest you will get to hike Adams Peak and we highly recommend you stay here to do so. Should you travel by car please note that you can't comfortably drive all the way, it's very narrow at the end (last 300 meters) - walking is recommended.

日程の関係で、深夜のチェックイン。翌日はアダムスピーク登山後、午後のチェックアウトでしたが、あたたかく対応してくれました。スタッフやオーナーはとても親切で食事も美味しかったです。

シャワーの温度調整のコック？が高い位置にあって、チビの私達には届かなかったです。水シャワーでした。

建物が綺麗！ごはんが美味しい！可愛い猫ちゃんがいる！アダムスピークから一番近い！スタッフの方のホスピタリティが素敵。 全部が完璧で1週間くらい滞在すればよかったと後悔するくらい好きなホテルでした。アダムスピークへの登頂が大変だったはずなのに、そこまで疲れを引きづらなかったのは前日夜に美味しいカレーをお腹いっぱい食べられたのと、登頂後にもまた美味しい朝食をお腹いっぱい食べられたおかげです。ホテルの周りにもごはん食べられる場所はあるけど、ホテルのごはんが手作りでボリュームたっぷり、ゆっくり美味しく食べられるので本当におすすめ。 帰りのコロンボまでのバス情報も宿でしっかり確認できました。検索しても情報が曖昧だったので大変助かりました！

Excellent location if you wish to hike to Adam's Peak. We we're told the best route to the top and staff was very friendly. Tasty breakfast and lovely cat.

One might benefit from a set of earplugs, as the windows don't cancel the noise completely. Water pressure is in the lower end of the spectrum, but shower works and there's hot water!

Een fijn klein hotel met goede schone kamers. Fijn balkonnetje erbij met mooi uitzicht op de bergen. De locatie is perfect want je bent zo bij de start van de Adams Peak trip. Zeer vriendelijke Eigenaar, gezellig mee gepraat en hij had goede tips. Vriendelijk Personeel en behulpzaam. Goed diner gehad en ontbijt.

Wij kwamen met een eigen huurauto en het weggetje naar het hotel was moeilijk want was een zand looppad aan kraampjes en liepen veel mensen. De oprit naar het hotel was zeer schuin en korrelig zandpad. Was moeilijk om er op te komen.

Perfect location for Adam’s Peak. AMAZING food. Sociable if you want it to be, I met lots of solo travellers there. Walked up with someone I met the evening before which added to the experience. Lucky to have a STUNNING sun set 🙏🏼 Very friendly staff. Mix up with my dates and they gave me the only room they had available which was the large family room, at no additional charge. Went to a nearby waterfall on the way which I loved too ✅ great views on route. This was an experience I will forever hold in my heart ❤️ thank you X

The location is clearly THE BEST to go to Adam's peak. The food was great, and the staff very nice and friendly. They answered all of our questions, they also arranged a tuktuk for our next destination.

There was noise during the evening and night (music with bass), it's not from the hotel but from the village, so you cannot really avoid it, and it's not the hotel's fault, but better to take earplugs if you want a good sleep before going to the peak!

Super Lage direkt am Weg zum Adam‘s Peak, gutes Essen, schöne Terrasse mit Blick ins Grüne. Wir haben frische Früchte erhalten 😍 das war sehr nett. Top für eine Nacht und für den frühen Aufstieg am Morgen.

Das Bettzeug und allgemein das Zimmer waren nicht sehr sauber. Es roch stark nach künstlichem Duft und im Badezimmer modrig.

Отель находится прям у начала подъёма на пик, небольшой, номер старенький но чистенький. Довольно сложно было его найти, даже с навигатором, так как дорога заканчивалась, а навигатором говорил вы прибыли, но нам любезно подсказали местные торговые, есть парковочное место мы были на машине это было важно. Хозяин очень радушный , внимательный,замечательный человек! Мы приехали поздно. Нас покормили, хотя мы даже не просили, после восхождения приготовили великолепный вкусный завтрак и хозяин подарил очень вкусный чай! Однозначно рекомендую!

Die Lage ist perfekt für den frühen Start zum Adam's Peak. Der Besitzer und alle Angestellten sind wahnsinnig freundlich und stehen bei allen Fragen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Das Rice&Curry am Abend war bisher das beste, was ich in Sri Lanka gegessen habe, und auch das Frühstück nach der Wanderung war super. Absolute Empfehlung!

Great access to start of Sri Pada trail, breakfast

A little noisy early on

Die Unterkunft ist sehr nah am Adam’s Peak und etwas außerhalb der belebten Hauptstraße mit den Verkaufsständen und Touristen. Sie liegt direkt oberhalb des Pilgerpfads zum Sri Pada. Daher laufen zu allen Uhrzeiten schon einige Menschen daran vorbei und vor allem Kinder können mal werden. Aber das hat uns nichts ausgemacht. Der Host ist super. Wir haben bei der Ankunft mittags ein Sandwich aufs Haus bekommen weil wir hungrig waren aber zu spät fürs Mittagessen ankamen. Uns wurde der beste Tee zubereitet und Kekse dazu gereicht. Der Oberhammer war, dass ich eine Erkältung bekam und wir nachts auf den Berg wollten. Mir wurde eine große Schüssel mit heimischen Kräutern vorbereitet über die ich mich setzte, anschließend wurden Decken über mich gelegt damit ich die Kräuter inhalieren und die Erkältungsviren ausschwitzen konnte. Danach wurde mir noch mehrmals der berühmte Samahan Tee zubereitet. Ich bin nachts fast mühelos auf den Sri Pada gestiegen und habe mich mittlerweile gut erholt. Der Host dieser Unterkunft ist eine der besten Seelen, die ich bisher im Leben kennengelernt habe und ich würde sie uneingeschränkt jedem empfehlen, der überlegt in Nallathanniya zu übernachten.

In der Dusche könnte man noch einen Vorhang aufhängen damit nicht alles nass wird beim Duschen.

Locatie voor Adams Peak is perfect. Aardig personeel, denken mee. Hadden een tuktuk (met hele aardige driver) voor ons geregeld voor ons volgende verblijf.

Близко ко входу на тропу - это важно, когда возвращаешься назад с убитыми ногами. У нас был Люкс , простроно, кровати с балдахинами от комаров, дали еще электрофумигатор. Сотрудники заботятся, хотят всячески помочь, вкусно накормили завтраками и ужинами. На балконе можно посидеть попить чай. Думаем, что это один из лучших отелей в деревне. Есть собственная парковка.

You could not be closer to the start of Adams Peak trail and the staff made it feel more like a home stay than a hostel. Very attentive and lovely people. Home cooked and plentiful food, it was a lovely place!
