Reviewed Sep 2, 2026We loved the historical photos on the walls, the friendly and helpful staff, the whole layout of the lodge, our great room with its amazing view over the city, our breakfast, the quiet and green suburb that it was in.....in fact everything!

Buller’s is looking a bit more shabby than chic. Pool is dirty, room 1 is old, outside furniture is dirty and old, cleanliness is questionable (outside our room was a rotting meal in a polystyrene container).

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026L'hôtesse qui nous a accueilli était d'une très grande gentillesse, très accueillante. Le lodge est magnifique, bien entretenu, cosy, confortable et très propre. Un beau jardin arboré avec piscine qui profite d'une belle vue sur la ville et de beaux coucher de soleil. L'endroit est très sécurisé, avec un parking clôturé. Le lodge est équipé d'un bar musée très sympa pour apprécier un apéritif. Nous avons été 1 nuit avec nos 2 ados, un samedi soir, normalement ils ne servent pas de dîner le week-end mais ils ont étés très compréhensifs pour nous préparer un dîner, qui était délicieux : un ragoût de queue de bœuf avec des légumes, et un bon dessert. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et délicieux, préparé a la minute et adapté a chacun. Nous avons très bien dormi sur un lit équipé d'un matelas chauffant. Pour un passage sur Ladysmith je vous recommande fortement ce lodge. Ce fut une halte parfaite entre Joburg et Durban.

Als je dan 1 ding moet noemen, misschien de wifi voor buiten op het balkon verbeteren, dat daar een signaal is zodat je je vrienden en familie kan videobellen en ze het prachtige uitzicht kan laten zien!

The room was full of bugs and 'droppings'. There were dead bugs under the covers and on the window sills. The shower leaked. The breakfast choices were so limited and portions were very small. Breakfast also ended very early so we skipped it on one day. The laundry room table had an unpleasant smell.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026Very friendly staff. I did not book dinner at the venue. When I first mentioned dinner, the lady mentioned she will try and make a plan as she already started preparations. She included me and I loved the home cooked meal. So glad she could accommodate me.
All was good. Nothing to complain about. I was only a guest travelling through for one night. The room was clean and neat and warm, and food was good and running route perfect.
