Reviewed Aug 4, 2026Perfect overnight accommodation in an excellent location, so close to town and very convenient. The property felt safe and secure, which gave us peace of mind. From the moment we walked in, it smelt amazing and was spotlessly clean. The Host/Owner/Marli was very helpful and kind, check-in and out was a breeze. The attention to detail was exceptional, with all the little touches and essentials thoughtfully provided. A comfortable, welcoming stay that I would highly recommend.

Reviewed Jun 17, 2026The place is super cute and in a nice area right by the NWU stadium and university. Marli and her mother in law (I think) were super sweet and welcoming. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and comfortable.
The only thing that was not so great was our experience on the morning of departure. While we were in the process of taking our belongings to the car from around 9:15am, the cleaning lady arrived and was quite hostile and impatient. Although we explained that check-out was until 10:00am and that we were still within the permitted check-out time, she repeatedly insisted that we tell her exactly when we would be leaving and seemed unhappy that we were still there. Her persistent demands and attitude made what should have been a straightforward departure feel very uncomfortable and unpleasant. The entire time we were taking stuff to the car she was staring us down.

Nothing If maybe the municipality they could cut the grass so we can have a proper view of the lake but everything was spectacular, it is so relaxing,I’m an energy person and nothing was off,only good energy

Reviewed Apr 20, 2026Very conveniently located close to NWU, in a beautiful suburb. Modern facility, neat and clean. Small little kitchen with everything you need: kettle, fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery. There's even some milk and water in the fridge already.
The moths – but there was insect spray to sort them out.

Got there rather late after a long day. Great instructions prior to my arrival for self check in and then check out the next morning.

Reviewed Mar 15, 2026The place is comfortable, neat, modern and very close to NWU. The free WiFi was a big bonus, because I had work to do online.
The kitchenette is very small. (Not to be published on the website, only notes for the owner). Please check the bedside lamp switch. It does not want to switch off. The one set of towels was a bit washed out and worn. The hand soap dispenser needs checking. It is not pumping the soap. The mattress is okay for now, but it will need to be replaced soon.

Suites our needs perfectly and the host has a personal interest in quality of the stay. Great neighborhood for a casual stroll and really safe. Outside seating for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Braai facilities. Lush environment close to the river.

It was hot would have like a air conditioner or at least a fan, we stayed in room no 2.

Thought long and hard on this, water in the fridge would be nice, but not an issue we would say.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2025Location was really good. Size is perfect, didn't need much more than it. Modern fittings and everything looked nice and modern. The entry and exit is all DIY - you get a code to enter the property, a code to a lockbox to get the key and then when exiting, you lock up and drop off the key in the mail bin. Parking was good and easy. Shower is nice. Wifi worked well.
Not much that bothered me, to be honest. I only stayed there for a day! The beds wasn't the most comfortable but I am old and pedantic about it (it didn't bother my kid at all).
