The location is very risky except for an experienced driver, as it is between hills and valleys; driving along it is dangerous, especially at night. The staff is nice and friendly. The breakfast was homemade and acceptable. The bathrooms require maintenance, and the water keeps cutting off.

Infrastructure refresh: The overall facilities could use a bit of updating, as some parts are starting to show their age.

Très bien situé à quelques minutes d’Ifrane et de la vallée des singes. Un accueil familial authentique et chaleureux et une délicieuse cuisine bio maison ! Formidable !

Rien tout était parfait

The property is a pleasant base from which to explore the region. It is located along a dirt track off the main road, but has plenty of parking. The staff warmly greeted us and did everything to make our stay as nice a possible. We ate there in the evening and the food was delicious and plentiful. Breakfast was also very filling.

The aircon in the room played up a little during the night but we stayed cool, so no major bother.

J'ai adoré le séjour au Gite du Barrage, l'accueil est chaleureux, la nourriture est excellente, je recommande le couscous du vendredi ! J'ai pu faire une magnifique randonnée avec Nouhaïla, la fille de la propriétaire, qui est d'une gentillesse incroyable, une vraie guide locale. Je la remercie énormément. Super acceuil ! Famille adorable et aux petits soins avec ses hotes.

Camera spaziosa con balcone, il letto era grade e comodo, lenzuola profumate. Anche se la stanza aveva bisogno di qualche ritocco, per il rapporto qualità prezzo, andava bene cosi. Abbiamo cenato con la trota alla griglia, davvero buona ed anche la colazione era abbondante e buona. Lo staff è stato molto gentile.

L’emplacement et la vue sont super, le personnel est vraiment au petit soin et très accueillant! Les chambres sont aussi tres belle. Nous avons egalement tres bien manger le soir, ainsi que le petit dejeuner dans le jardin. Tres agreable

Seul point positif, les deux jeunes filles qui nous ont reçues ont été très agréables.

Des repas plus que médiocres, aucune saveur. Une décoration nulle digne d’une cantine. Une terrasse bordée de murs si hauts que l’on ne voit rien. Des abords très mal entretenus et surtout un froid à peine supportable. Le plus mauvais établissement de tout notre séjour.

Très bon accueil des propriétaires. La truite grillée est à conseiller. Le petit déjeuner est basé sur les produits provenant de la production personnelle ou locale. Le fromage de chèvre, un vrai régal. Contrairement à ce qui est indiqué sur le descriptif, le gîte en pleine nature est accessible facilement par voiture de tourisme.

When we arrived we had no idea what to expect. The friendly family was very accommodating and the food was delicious. The surrounding nature is really nice except for some trash. We recommend a walk in the cedar forest and the drive towards Aïn Leun on the P7215 is scenic and with some luck you'll see wild Berber monkeys that are not fed..

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille dans ce gîte. La famille d’accueil était extrêmement chaleureuse et accueillante, avec une mention spéciale à Mme Fatima pour sa gentillesse et son hospitalité. Le village ainsi que ses habitants sont très sympathiques, ce qui rend l’expérience encore plus agréable et authentique. Le paysage est magnifique, entre la forêt et le barrage à proximité, offrant un cadre calme et reposant. Nos enfants ont énormément apprécié le séjour et les moments passés dans la nature. InchAllah, nous comptons revenir avec grand plaisir. Merci encore pour ce bel accueil et cette belle expérience.

Le seul point à améliorer concerne la douchette et la chasse d’eau : elles fonctionnent, mais elles perdent beaucoup d’eau lors de leur utilisation. Une petite réparation permettrait de rendre le séjour encore plus confortable tout en contribuant à économiser l’eau.

Coup de cœur pour le Gîte du Barrage à BEN SMIM. Accueil en or, chambres nickel et chaudes, petit déj marocain généreux. Le tajine aux truites maison... une tuerie ! Mme Fatim Zahra est d’une gentillesse rare et donne des super conseils rando. Emplacement parfait au bord de la forêt. On reviendra c’est sûr.

Funcionários muito simpáticos e prestáveis. Servem refeições no local o que se tornou útil pois não existem sítios para comer nas imediações. A comida estava bem confeccionada.

Achamos o preço das refeições caras no contexto marroquino ( 15€ por pessoa prato pequeno com sopa e fruta - café pago à parte). O quarto cheirava ligeiramente a mofo e o teto tinha manchas de humidade. Sem acesso a internet nos quartos ( mas isso já sabíamos). Achamos a zona exterior pouco cuidada.

If you’re looking for a calm and relaxing place in nature, Gîte du Barrage is a really good choice. The food is very tasty, varied, and well-prepared, with a nice traditional Moroccan touch. Everything is homemade and fresh. The surroundings are beautiful, with lots of greenery and fresh air. It’s also close to the dam and the forest, which is perfect for walks and enjoying nature. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, and you can see that everything is well taken care of. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you quickly feel at home. Overall, it’s a place I would definitely recommend if you want some peace, comfort, and time in nature.

Diverse infiltrazioni di acqua, umidità diffusa, porte e servizi igienici mal funzionanti, arredamento squallido, biancheria in parte bucata. Generale senso di sporco. Benché avessimo già pagato, siamo andati via senza pernottare. Prezzo assurdo vista la situazione Generale, veramente eccessivo.

Très bel endroit. Nous avons reçu un accueil vraiment au top et notre hôte a été aux petits soins. Nous avons pu goûté la truite du lac : excellente ! tout était très propre et nous avions assez de couvertures pour nous protéger du froid. Rare de voir une telle gentillesse et un tel accueil

We came from the busy desert town Merzouga to this location and the quiet and green valley was an amazing contrast. The welcome was warm and despite our late booking and check-in we got a really really nice dinner prepared. Also breakfast was served with lots of love for little details. I really liked this place.

Nothing justified the cost. We paid for 3 nights but couldn't spend a single one — the property was nothing like advertised. The host was unfriendly, refused any partial refund, and we were forced to urgently find and pay for another property to save our vacation.

We booked two rooms for a family with young children based on the photos and existing reviews. Upon arrival, the reality was far from what was presented online. The rooms and bathrooms were noticeably unclean — unacceptable for any family, let alone one with small children. The property's surroundings were also deeply disappointing that made us feel genuinely unsafe. The listing photos and reviews do not reflect the actual condition or environment of this property. Future guests — especially families — should visit with very low expectations or, better, consider alternatives. Not recommended.

Die Unterkunft ist unglaublich authentisch. Die Besitzer waren so sehr bemüht und konnten sehr gut englisch. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Alles in allem für uns auf unserer Bikepacking-Tour ein perfekter Zwischenstopp. Danke :)

Nous avons passé un bon séjour au Gîte du Barrage. Situé à quelques minutes d’Ifrane, le gîte est facilement accessible par une route bien entretenue et identifiable. En pleine nature, l’endroit est calme et reposant. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par les hôtes, qui ont été adorables et toujours disponibles. Les chambres sont propres et confortables.

Nous avons séjourné en août, et les températures étaient assez élevées. Une climatisation aurait été appréciable, car notre chambre n’en disposait pas. Heureusement, les hôtes ont été réactifs et arrangeants en nous fournissant un ventilateur, ce qui a amélioré notre confort !

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour au Gîte du Barrage. L’accueil de la propriétaire et de son équipe était exceptionnel — très disponibles et attentionnés. La chambre était propre et spacieuse, le petit-déjeuner copieux et fait maison, et la terrasse offre une belle vue sur les environs. Le gîte est bien situé pour visiter Ifrane et la région ; parfait pour un séjour calme après une journée de visites. Mention spéciale pour la cuisine locale : excellente ! Nous recommandons sans hésiter

주인분이 매우 친절하십니다! 차가 있다면 이프란과 아즈루 사이에 묵는 것도 좋습니다. 풍경이 좋고 공기가 좋아 별도 많이 보입니다.

다만 숙소 앞에 있는 집에 개를 조심할 필요가 있습니다..!

Staff was nice, and the room was spacious. Food was nice.

We stayed in the room extended from the main building. It was so cold, and the heating/air conditioning was not working properly. It was raining, and the roof was leaking and was so noisy rain hitting the gutter or something outside. There was not constant hot water either so we were not able to warm up at all

Nous avons passé trois nuits très agréables dans cette auberge en pleine montagne, près du barrage. Le cadre est magnifique, calme et reposant. Le service est excellent et l’accueil de Fatima a été exceptionnel : souriante, attentionnée et toujours disponible. Nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison. Je recommande vivement..

Los anfitriones fueron extremadamente serviciales, amables y muy simpáticos, haciéndonos sentir como en casa desde el primer momento, con una cálida bienvenida que incluyó té marroquí tradicional y dulces. El lugar está idealmente ubicado cerca de Ifrane, a poca distancia a pie del lago. La habitación estaba limpia y contaba con las toallas necesarias y gel de ducha. Una estancia tranquila con auténtica hospitalidad marroquí ,muy recomendable.

Die Unterkunft ist im Winter nicht zu empfehlen. Leider waren die Räume sehr kalt und die Heizung wurde zu spät angestellt.

Un super accueil de la part de nos hôtes, on s'est directement senti comme a la maison. Des chambres spacieuses et un petit déjeuner maison typiquement marocain avec des produits locaux, un vrai délice et très copieux.

Nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps ! A très bientot, nous reviendrons !

El entorno es muy bonito con vistas a las montañas. Es muy tranquilo, acogedor y familiar. Los perritos son bienvenidos. El personal es atento y muy amable. La comida está buena. Las habitaciones son amplias con aire acondicionado, estufa y la ducha con agua caliente. Hablan ingles y francés perfectamente.

Personale molto disponibile e ambiente familiare (aree comuni con giochi di società), ma onestamente non comprendiamo come le recensioni possano essere così alte.

La camera presentava numerose infiltrazioni d’acqua, ben visibili lungo tutta la parete, con pavimenti bagnati e tappeti fradici, poiché pioveva letteralmente all’interno della stanza. Di conseguenza, l’ambiente era caratterizzato da forte umidità e aria poco salubre. Abbiamo chiesto un cambio di camera, ma ci è stato riferito che anche le altre stanze si trovavano nelle stesse condizioni. La situazione non era circoscritta alla nostra camera: anche nella sala comune erano presenti infiltrazioni d’acqua. La camera era fredda e l'acqua del bagno ci mette molto a diventare tiepida (mai calda)

Surtout le chauffage qui est normalement indispensable en temps d'hiver . Il était presque absent dans la chambre. On a dû quitter le Gite 24h avant notre départ. Odeur irrespirable aux toilettes.

Motorrad parkt direkt vor der Unterkunft. Frühstück und Abendessen ist perfekt. Liegt abgelegen und somit ist es sehr ruhig. Kommunikation auf Englisch möglich.

La dueña muy agradable y simpática. Me ha ayudado a planear la estancia en Ifrane y sus alrededores.

Teniendo en cuenta que la primer noche estuvimos a -1°c, pasamos mucho frío porque la calefacción casi no calentaba, ni en la habitación ni en en baño. La ducha estaba rota y no era posible sujetar la alcachofa a la pared, tampoco tenia mampara así que entre el frío y el desastre fue la experiencia.

Прекрасное жилье! Очень красивый вид из окна, потрясающие закаты в октябре. Брали завтрак, тоже все понравилось. Кровати удобные, горячая вода в душе, чисто. Очень дружелюбные хозяева, большое спасибо! Я точно могу рекомендовать это жилье! Лучше приезжать до темноты, иначе будет плохо видно дорогу. Мы останавливались на 1 ночь по дороге из Шефшауэна до Мерзуги, остались довольны.

Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, das Personal sehr nett, und das Zimmer hat uns gut gefallen. Die Lage ist in Ordnung, nur leider etwas außerhalb, sodass wir eine abgelegene Straße nehmen mussten, aber nicht so schlimm. Das WLAN funktioniert gut.

Der Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, der Frühstück war sehr lecker, die Lage war sehr zentral und Natur pur, sehr schön für Wanderung.

Tutto. La gentilezza dello staff, la posizione stupenda, sembra uno chalet montano, c’è la possibilità di pranzare e cenare e la colazione è stupenda e abbondante. La stanza che abbiamo avuto era bellissima, spaziosa con un terrazzo privato e la vista dalle vetrate sulle montagne circostanti. Un sogno 😍

Étape sympa à la campagne loin des endroits touristiques entre Azrou et Ifrane. Super accueil et très bonne cuisine et très bon petit dej. Ça vaut le coup de soutenir des petites infrastructures familiales comme celles ci. Rapport qualité prix top.

What a lovely place! Fatima and her family gave us the warmest, friendliest welcome. She anticipated our every wish. She cooked us and excellent dinner and breakfast. She really was the perfect host. The little hotel is beautifully located in the mountain landscape, the room was large, modern and very comfortable. We loved everything about our stay.

The place is a bit off the main road, but if you just follow Google Maps, it is easy enough to find, so not really a negative.

Mooi huis met verschillende kamers. Wij hadden die met balkon en 1 2-persoons en 2 1-persoonsbedden met een keukenbarretje. Mooi uitzicht over het landschap. De eigenaren en hun dochter doen er alles aan om het verblijf naar je zin te maken. Wij hebben ontbijt erbij genomen à €4 pp en 1 keer diner à €15 pp. Het was erg smaakvol. We hebben tijdens ons verblijf een hammam- en massagebehandeling gedaan bij Palais des Cerisiers en dat was heerlijk.
