A little slice of calm- we loved the cabin in the woods and waking up to the view of the frozen lake. So many lovely activities to do on site and in the surrounding area and such lovely and helpful hosts.

My family stayed for 3 nights. We loved the husky ride especially being able to drive ourselves and enjoyed the tour of the kennel. I loved hearing stories about the dogs, their personalities and more about their daily life. We thought the red cabin was so cozy and I slept very well. The scenery was very quiet and peaceful compared to Rovenemi. It was also nice to try snowshoeing, cross country skiing and also ice fishing. Our first night we roasted reindeer sausages in the hut by the lake. Dinner our last night was also very delicious.

Nothing we had a great time. Will recommend to others.

The location was outstanding, our cabin was overlooking the frozen lake and the view was bliss . We enjoyed the husky ride and kennel tour, would definitely recommend the sauna and the dip on the frozen lake is worth the hype. We had an amazing lunch at the restaurant. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the snow hike and taboganing.

Unfortunately missed the aurora due to cloudy weather, nevertheless we had the best time.

The host, Jaana, was super friendly and helpful before and upon arrival. Their website has a lot of information regarding hunting auroras and we were lucky to have clear skies on most of the nights, so we could see them from our room. They have snowshoes, cross country skis, helmets and poles for guest to use, so we used them everyday around the forest. There are lots of routes to explore. The beds are comfortable and there’s central heating in the room. Can’t recommend this place enough! Hopefully we can come back in the future.

Bon chalet, avec tout le nécessaire pour un séjour. L’activité avec les chiens traîneaux sur place incroyable je recommande volontiers.

Nous sommes tombés en panne de batterie de voiture suite à une batterie faible fournie par le loueur. Suite à ce problème, nous avons demandé de l’aide à l’hôte, qui s’est avéré compliqué car nous avions l’impression de la déranger. Nous lui avons demandé de nous aider à l’aide de son véhicule pour redémarrer le nôtre, elle a refusé. De ce fait, nous avons dû faire venir un dépanneur et payer 500€ de notre poche. Heureusement, nous avons réussi à réplanifier les activités le temps de faire un échange avec une nouvelle voiture de location.. Je recommande vivement le logement, mais si ils vous arrivent un souci avec la voiture de location malgré que vous écoutiez tous les conseils, c’est compliqué de trouver de l’aide sur place…

The property was perfect, the size was accommodating and there were facilities for all our needs, the views were out of this world too. Overall, the property was fantastic and was our favourite holiday by far. Ps. Jaana taught us so much about her tradition and it was awesome :D

Leider kein SAT TV, dadurch keine deutschen Sender, im Wohnbereich fehlt ein Sofa auf dem man sich mal ausstrecken oder gemütlich kuscheln kann.

Jaana is very nice and welcoming, and it was one of the most beautiful place I've seen on earth. Nature, silence and snow everywhere. You are far from the city. Restaurant is good. You can book huski sledges and live the real experience. Dogs are well-treated and loved and happy to run. I greatly recommand. I will remember forever this beautiful country.

Thank you again Jaana for all you have done. Amazing stay. Wonderful food at the restaurant. Husky sleeding tour amazing as well as all other activities we have done thanks to the equipement included. Hope to see you soon. A big hug from all of us.

Mooie locatie! Veel dingen die je gewoon kunt lenen, sneeuwschoenen, schaatsen, langlaufspullen en slee’s, echt een top faciliteit! Noorderlicht prachtig kunnen zien, zelfs op het park zelf! En de huskytocht was fantastisch! Ook mogelijkheid tot eten in het restaurant. Gastvrije en vriendelijke eigenaresse! Wij hadden het 6 persoonshuisje met z’n 2en, hierdoor genoeg ruimte!

Verder weg van de stad, altijd een stuk rijden voor winkel of activiteiten buiten het park om. Klein keukentje, maar wel alle benodigdheden aanwezig!

L’emplacement dans la nature avec le lac gelé. Le prêt des équipements (raquettes /ski de fond / patin / luge ). ́les ballades dans la forêt et le côté magique du lieu. Les chiens de traîneau que l'on peut faire sur place avec réservation. Nous avons pu nous y rendre en taxi car nous n’avions pas de voiture. Parfait pour 2 jours sans véhicule sinon c'est vraiment loin de tout.

Les draps en supplément (15 euros par personne) mais c'était écrit donc on le savait. On entend un peu les voitures sur la route qui passe juste à côté mais ça n'a rien enlevé au charme du lieu.

Perfect location to calm down, enjoy nature, watch polar lights and cuddle cute dogs. We can only recommend it & would love to come back soon.

Un lieu hors du commun dans un environnement ultra privilégié !

Villaggio nella natura finlandese, situato a circa 60 km a nord di Rovaniemi, composto da 10 baite per gli ospiti più alcune strutture per i titolari/gestori ed altre di servizio. L'ambiente naturale è meraviglioso di fronte ad un lago (d'inverno è ovviamente ghiacciato) e circondati da 12 chilometri di sentieri nelle foreste di proprietà. I titolari, Jaana e Seppo, sono persone competenti e disponibili e forniscono informazioni già prima di arrivare. La baite (noi ne avevamo due rosse da quattro posti) sono piccole ma pulite e confortevoli. Per i più sedentari si può decidere di restare a Korvala sfruttando le varie possibilità offerte: ciaspolate, pesca nel ghiaccio, saune (due diverse) o la spettacolare escursione con gli husky (i titolari sono allevatori e hanno parecchie decine di cani: molto interessante la visita dell'allevamento). Oppure si può decidere di leggere un buon libro nel tepore delle baite (veramente ben riscaldate) aspettando la serata per cercare di vedere l'aurora boreale. Per i più avventurosi si può, noleggiando un'auto, esplorare i bellissimi parchi nazionali della zona sfruttando la posizione baricentrica di Korvala. E' presente un buon ristorante dove si può provare lo stufato di renna o altri piatti tipici finlandesi. Elettrizzante il tuffo nel lago ghiacciato dopo la sauna per capire la tipica SISU finlandese. Alloggio senz'altro da consigliare.

Il prezzo dell'alloggio non è elevato ma viene caricato da altri eventuali costi, alcuni decisamente troppo pesanti (lenzuola e asciugamani: 20 euro a persona, tuta polare e scarponi 10 euro a persona al giorno, sauna 20 euro la più economica, cena al ristorante circa 45 euro, escursione con husky di circa due ore 715 euro in cinque).

La posizione è meravigliosa, è un posto magico. Il cibo del ristorante è buonissimo.

I servizi potrebbero essere migliorati: la pista di pattinaggio era inagibile, la sauna non era mai disponibile anche se era sempre vuota.

Übernachtet haben wir in der grossen Hütte. Sehr geräumig und toll gelegen. Die Husky Tour war ein tolles Erlebnis, genauso wie die Private Sauna. Das Essen im Restaurant war lecker! Wir hatten eine unglaubliche Zeit mit vielen Polarlichtern.

O educação, paciência e cuidado das pessoas que trabalham no local. Um ambiente familiar e receptivo. Apesar da rusticidade( e esse foi o propósito) as cabanas tinham toda a estrutura que precisávamos. Vimos a Aurora da porta da nossa cabine por 2 noites das 3 que ficamos hospedados.

Distância de Rovaniemi. Cerca de 40 km. Podiam colocar WI-Fi nas acomodações. E o café da manhã tinha que reservar. Não conseguimos pela lotação.

Es una magia total ,la ubicación la cabaña todo todo absolutamente TODO ,excelente trato ,paz que no encontrarás en ninguna otro sitio!!!Brutal❤️

We had a great 2 night stay in Korvala Log Cabin. Although tight for space it was perfect for 2 nights and we could park right next to the cabin. The cabin was lovely and cosy and had facilities for cooking if needed. We ate in the restaurant one of the nights and it was very tasty. It would have been nice for the restaurant to be open also on the Sunday however, we also understand that staff need a day off too. It is about a 45 min drive to Rovaniemi. There is a lovely walk around the lake which throughly enjoyed. The cabin is picturesque and surrounded by lovely forest. I had reached out in advance regarding the possibility of booking the sauna / plunge pool and was told that this can sorted on arrival as they hold spots for guests however, these spots were not available when we did enquire on arrival which was disappointing so my advice would be to ensure you book in advance even if advised that you don’t have to.

Its location outside of Rovaniemi in beautiful winter wonderland. Much preferred this as the town was much more built up than expected. Not far from Santa’s Village but need to have a car. The cabins are so cute, like Santa Cabins! Very small & basic inside. Bunk beds for all 4 of us! But what we traded for that was lots of activities are included which can be very costly otherwise when adding up for a family. Ice skating, fishing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing. Although lake wasn’t quite frozen enough yet for fishing in December 2025. They also offer husky rides for a fee. Restaurant/cafe run by Chef Susanna was excellent. We had a wonderful traditional Xmas lunch & picnic basket. We loved the fire hut, used it multiple times. Can go for walks from there too. To top it off we saw incredible Aurora right from right outside the cabin.

We would have loved to do the Sauna experience but it was too expensive for a family. Perhaps 1 visit could be included for staying guests as other properties usually include a sauna in Finland.

The location was perfect, hosts lovely, the husky trip was excellent, lovely local walks. Everything exceeded our expectations.

This place was one of the most incredible places we have ever stayed!! The cabin was absolutely perfect and had everything we needed. We stayed in the grey cabin and it was perfect for two of us. We went in January time so the whole resort was covered in snow and it was honestly like a winter wonderland. We were able to see the northern lights most nights from the frozen lake and very faintly above and around the cabin area. The whole place is just so cosy and has a lovely restaurant/dining area. We loved the little fire hut cabin to light a fire and warm up after a lovely walk around the area. This place is perfect if you have a car, and the roads are very easy to drive on with one main road connecting the resort to the city centre. The owners were so friendly and accommodating throughout. I could not recommend this place enough!

Not a dislike about the property but just a heads up the towels and sheets are around €20 per person so we had to pay €40 for these in total which did feel a bit steep. We still felt the overall price was extremely good value for everything that you were getting with the property but more just something to factor in with the overall price! If you do not have a car this may be more difficult to get around as we didn’t see many buses during our stay.

Amazing place in the middle of the nature, perfect for spotting Northern Lights in winter. Many winter activites to do there. Good price compared to other places in the area.

Bedroom a bit small for 4 people, but we managed just fine. Overall not a big problem.

Stunning location, staff were fantastic, food was tasty and clearly home made with love. Cannot fault anything. It was unfortunately -40 so husky ride was cancelled but we did a fabulous kennel tour. Great spot for cross country skiing, exploring and enjoying the snow. Highly recommend.

Only downside is the distance away from a shop but if you bring your car just bring snacks and food that you need. Some snacks available. It's honestly so beautiful.

Another fantastic stay at Korvala: wonderful hosts, outstanding location, fantastic facilities. We cannot wait to return—such a special place.

- Tenía unas vistas muy bonitas, tanto al despertar como a la hora de irte a dormir. - Una zona espectacular para ver auroras boreales, tuvimos mucha suerte. - Un equipo excelente, un saludo a Susanna, su chef, que hizo un plato especialmente para mí por mis intolerancias sin ningún problema. - Todas las cabañas muy bien cuidadas. Tenías leña a tu disposición, y una cabaña (Grillikota) para hacer tus propias barbacoas sin coste alguno. - La sauna muy romántica, y el baño en el lago helado muy recomendable. - Te ayudan mucho en todo, en actividades, transporte, con la ropa de nieve, etc.

It was perfect place to experience the snow near Rovaniemi. We didnt have a car so we used the local taxi so around €175 for 5 adults with luggages from Rov center then we used the bus going back to Rov around €70 for 5. We were at the big cabin. Bunk beds comfy, a double bed also comfy. Kitchen ok- we bought groceries before we came- no grocery store in Korvala so make sure u bring groceries. Overall adequate. Cabin feels. But aside from the payment for accommodation, you pay for towels/ linens which was add on from your accommodation pay. You will pay when you arrive. Facilities: sauna which u can book and pay Sledding stuff etc are free They have a trail u can walk around Huskies well cared for, great husky experience Komea restaurant good we had dinner once- one meal around €30 so x 5 is a bit pricey but good food Jaana very nice lady. Great responses even way before our trip. She is very nice. Huskie people are very nice too- they love what they do, they love the huskies and you can feel that love they have for the animals We didnt see the northern lights when we stayed Dec 26-30,2025 bec of the clouds. We also did a reindeer farm tour via Unique Reindeer Farm which you will see at Korvala cabin’s site too- it was a great experience so try them too. No reindeer ride but reindeers in their natural state. Pekka is awesome! Overall, I recommend this place

It was perfect. We came a little bit earlier but Jaana made us warm welcome and gave us all necessary information for our staying in log cabin. We booked breakfast - delicious and vintage. Also floating sauna is awesome. And if you want to taste delicious finish food take a dinner in main house.

My stay at the Korvola cabin was excellent. The cabin is very nice, cozy, and comfortable. It’s a very good place to relax and enjoy nature. I highly recommend it!

Korvalla Husky Farm is truly one of the most exceptional places we have ever stayed—and that’s saying a lot. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, and over the three nights we spent there, the entire experience exceeded every expectation. The cabins are warm, cosy and beautifully rustic, instantly grounding you in the feeling that you are really in Finland. Stepping outside to find the lake frozen solid right at our doorstep felt almost surreal. The restaurant and café were equally inviting, more like a comfortable lounge than a dining space, perfect for relaxing, and a big bonus for our 17-year-old, who happily settled in there with the Wi-Fi when needed. We loved the thoughtful extras, especially the complimentary sports room with cross-country skis, ice skates and sleds, which made it easy to embrace the winter landscape at our own pace. And then there was the highlight: the dog sled ride. It was authentic, beautifully run, and far exceeded anything we had imagined—an unforgettable experience we will talk about for years to come. If you are considering staying in Rovaniemi or any of the more commercial options, do yourself a favour and don’t. Korvalla Husky Farm offers something truly special, authentic and heartfelt. It is, without question, one of the most incredible places we have ever experienced.

Everything was perfect. Even the fact that it is 60km out of Roviniemi, was a blessing as you had time to enjoy the landscape and see Reindeer along the side of the road was a bonus.

The location is ideal for husky ride and catching the aurora borealis. It is about 30mins from Rovaniemi. There's a bus stop along the road which is convenient. No other restaurants or supermarkets around. So plan carefully if you are staying longer. We stayed for 3 nights in the cabin and we were able to catch the aurora borealis for 2 nights. It is indeed a magical winter wonderland. There is a smoke sauna, shed for campfire, a small skating rink and play equipment for children. There are plastic sleighs to slide down the hill and we used it to slide our luggage to and from the road. The husky ride staff were friendly and professional. The dogs were super friendly and very excited for the run. There was a kennel tour after the ride too. We cooked our meals in the small well equipped kitchen. The toilet floor is heated which is a plus. A big shout out to Jaana and her lady chef for an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much for your kind hospitality. Blessed Christmas!

The size of the cabins and the bunkbeds are too small. The kitchen utensils were all from IKEA and the knife was not sharp. These bunkbed cabins are more suitable for families with young children. It was just my husband and I staying in this cabin, so it was just fine for us. My other 2 friends who stayed in the double bed cabin, were squeezy for them. Not much moving space around the cabin.

Absolutely beautiful setting with well-maintained grounds, and lots of attention to detail. I loved hearing the howling huskies late at night. We stayed in a red cabin, and found the alcove bunk beds very comfortable. There was plenty of snow at the time we visited, and we used the sledges, skis, snowshoes, and snowboard. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed both meals. The breakfast box is also worth ordering. Korvala’s huskies are well-cared for and the 2km husky tour is a good experience. Overall, we found Finland / Lapland to be very expensive in all respects, however I think it’s comparable value for money in Korvala.

Only issue is that you need to hire a car to get there as the local buses are scarce.

Stunning countryside with lake. Many types of equiptment to use for free including ice skates, sledges, cross country skis. Husky kennels and dog sleigh on sight and all very well organised. The cabin was so cosy and peaceful.

Having to clean before leaving meant that some of the plates had to be washed when we wanted to use them as the previous guests had been less thorough. Having to pay separately for bed linen and towels.

Ubicación excelente si buscas tranquilidad y naturaleza. Se encuentra situado a 45 minutos en coche de Rovaniemi. La situación es ideal: tranquilo, limpio, tiene todo lo necesario para una familia pequeña, las camas son cómodas. Las excursiones de Huskies del alojamiento muy recomendables también, la granja tiene una instalaciones buenas y los perros parecen bien cuidado

Alquiler de sábanas y toallas aparte; creo que debería estar incluido en el precio. No hay establecimientos cercanos para comprar

La localización, la tranquilidad de desconectar de todo, las cabañas tan bonitas y lo cuidadas que están, el poder usar leña para calentar, dispones de skis, raquetas y todo tipo de equipamientos gratuitos, gracias
