Host sempre disponibile a fornire informazioni!
The chalet has a great sauna, awesome location, outside grill and terrace with great views. There is everything you need for your stay.
We loved our stay here...the view of the snow-covered, frozen lake, the surrounding forests, the peace, the quiet, the stars at night--fabulous! We had everything we needed to fix our meals; the walk into town, for groceries or the Siida Museum, took about 30 minutes along a fairly level road bordered by thick, scenic pine forests. The wood-burning sauna in the cabin was an added treat--so lovely to relax in. A real luxury! Excellent level of communication with the property owner.
I did not read up on the property or study the photos before arrival so I was surprised by the low, slanted ceiling of the bedroom up the steep stairs--my bad. This was not a problem for me personally...but for my husband, who is 6'4", it was a challenge. However, we loved our time here--it was sheer bliss.
Siisti mökki viihtyisällä paikalla aivan Inarijärven rannassa. Saunasta lyhyt matka uimaan. Mukavat vuokranantajat.
Lovely location and view, just by the lake. Sauna was exceptional!
It was a bit too warm at night
It was a wonderful stay, the glass front of the house allows a beautiful view to the frozen lake. Thanks for everything, Päivi!
The location, facilités and ambience
It would have been fabulous if there was a washing machine but that is only minor - the dryer was superb
View, sauna
Noise when strong wind
Independent chalet overlooking the lake, very quiet, private, intimate. We had animals greet us every morning: squirrels, birds, reindeer... it felt like a fairy tale. The chalet faces south, perfect to watch the sunset - on the other hand, the Northern Lights will come in from behind the chalet. The lake was completely frozen so we walked through it to get to the stores on the other shore and to see the Northern Lights :-). Comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen, functioning sauna. Self cleaning required afterwards (service is available for a fee). Easy to reach in winter with a standard rental car (we had a yaris). Parking available just outside the chalet.
Not big issues really, just good to know: stairs to the bedroom upstairs are quite steep and the ceiling in the loft is low; my partner is 186cm tall and needed to be a bit careful.
Loved everything about the place! Stunning location, amazing view. The kitchen is kitted out very well. We would love to have stayed longer.
My only issue was with the wood burners. While these may be common across Finland, they are not common in other countries. Yes there are instructions emphasising the importance of the dampers. How is anyone supposed to know for sure if they are open or closed. A small sign next to the dampers explaining this would have been handy.
