Excellent location and character house. Host was very kind and attentive.
Location was great, being right on the Quantocks which enabled easy access to some stunning walks. Property itself was great - a real 'home from home' - comfortable, cosy, well appointed, characterful, charming and a pleasure to stay in. We enjoyed living in the space very much. The field above provided us with the most beautiful sunsets and views. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
Nothing. All good.
Lovely period cottage, delightful and more spacious than expected. Two reception rooms, one with sofa-bed and dining table. The other with tv and comfortable sofas. Smart TV so was able to sign into Netflix account. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need, plus bonus of a freezer and washing machine in utility area. Very clean and comfortable. Views from top garden stunning- we were blessed with great weather.
No complaints at all. Only possible improvement would be a parasol/ umbrella for garden but that's being very picky.
Il cottage ci è piaciuto tantissimo, abbiamo provato la totale immersione nell'atmosfera inglese e l'accoglienza calorosa delle proprietarie nei piccoli dettagli.Grazie di cuore.
Lovely cottage with great views from the extended garden Great location with lovely walks all around and close to the sea It had everything we needed Extremely clean and comfortable
Nothing
Beautiful quirky cottage with a good garden area and amazing views from the top of the tiered garden. Everything you could need in the Cottage and a great choice if coffees and teas provided. The cake on arrival was a great start to the holiday. A lovely pub with good food just a 5 minute walk away - the staff were very friendly.
Didn’t bother me as i was on my own with my dog but the bedroom situation upstairs should be made clear that to get to the furthest bedroom you have to walk through the other bedroom - so less privacy.
Very peaceful
The front room was very dark and the shower had no water pressure
Moonfleat felt like home and it was very clean. The kitchen had everything one would expect. Instructions and expectations were clear.
I loved the personal note, milk and hot cross buns, lovely cottage, location, views and comfy stay
I didn't like the front door as the wind blew through very easily.
Great location - cosy cottage.
Very comfortable and cosy home to stay in. Woth a welcome card and some nice cakes! Decent parking and lovely location.
Everything was perfect.
It was a lovely traditional cottage in a quiet location , but yet close to all amenities .
A lovely, historic, quirky cottage in a stunning location with everything we needed and more!
The drive was an interesting place to get to but this is due to the stunning location. Fortunately there were other parking options. A beautiful place.
Comfortable, cosy, spacious, warm. Lovely garden with sea and hill views. Has everything you could ever need Absolutely spotless. Triple glazed. Great communication from owners.
Parking.tricky. Luggage drop off difficult as road is quite busy. Road is well used so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper but it is quiet at night until 7am.
It was a beautiful property in a great location. Lovely hosts, couldn’t recommend it enough
Great location for exploring national parks, coastline and little villages. Kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of board games and DvD's, good WiFi. Slow shower drainage wasn't really an issue for us. Gorgeous views from top of garden. Easy to find yet felt cosy and secluded.
Unfortunately there was a slight 'musty' smell in the living room which we think is from the old carpet. The rest of the cottage was fine and apart from that we were comfortable.
loved the quirkiness of cottage and the complete peace and quiet
the only thing that worried me was the stairs if we had to get up in the night being of a certain age🤣
A beautiful authentic cottage in a lovely village.
Nothing to dislike
This cottage certainly has character. The kitchen is well equipped. the view from the top garden is splendid, beautiful sunsets.. The walk up onto the hills from the cottage is just beautiful. communication from the owner was excellent and there was a kind welcome with tea/coffee and cakes. The upper dining/living room is the most pleasant room to sit in.
We knew the cottage accepted a pet, but the doggy/musty smell on arrival, especially in the living room was strong. We were warned that the shower emptied slowly, it's clearly been an issue for some time, but it's so slow that showering felt precarious. The shower unit is a high step up and there is no handrail, also the make shift plywood step is not Safe. It flipped! The cottage feels quite dated and in need of tlc as does the garden.
The property is amazing - with all the comforts of home. Really spacious, with a fantastic garden and great view, and a brilliant location.
Nothing
Lovely cottage, great location, clean, but not spotless, comfortable beds, great views if your young and fit. Great pub within walking distance called the Windmill, great staff, lovely food and dog friendly. Lots of beaches to visit, but we found Minehead and Dunster beach the best and not far away from accommodation. You can drive or catch bus to most of the locations, there's also Dunster castle well worth a visit. At the top of the lane there are some lovely walks, but most of the uphill.
We were warned about the steep stairs up to bedrooms, but not the 26 concrete steps to the middle and top garden which are slippy when wet. Could not get tv to work on first night so we called the housekeeper as instructed, but she did not answer, so left a msg which she did not respond to either. The heating is on a timer, but not informed what times it is supposed to come on, so had to keep pressing the advance button. Was given the wrong WI-FI password, but we found the correct one on back of box. Parking was awful, carport only suitable for small car and parking at middle garden very tight to get in and out onto busy narrow lane. Shower was good, but drain kept blocking and overflowing. Cake and milk was a nice touch, but milk out of date, the day we arrived. Too warm in bedrooms even with windows open, but very draughty downstairs due to kitchen radiator not working. The garden furniture very tired and old. This property is not suitable for the old or young or anyone with any mobility issues.
Cute from the outside with lovely views from garden. Inside retained some original features and had good amount of space. Good space for dogs outside. Nice location.
Some low quality furnishings and fittings like the chairs, shower, the fire had no kindling to burn the large logs. The outside had lots of accumulated wet leaves which meant the already quite slippy patio had to be negotiated with caution.
Love the character and warm charm of this cute cottage. Also we love the warm welcome from the hosts.
All good!
In a lovely area and the property was kept warm
It was hard to get the car into the car port.
Cottage was warm and comfortable with lots of space. Host left cream cakes and milk. Kitchen was well equipped. Convenient for local pub though very dark walk along road. St Audries Bay is stunning.
Shower drain was blocked so couldn’t shower properly. Water was dangerously hot and basin hot and cold wrong way round. Only one bed made up and no spare sheets so my friend and I had to reluctantly share a bed. There was parking but it wasn’t very easy for unloading. Handymen were working on property when we arrived blocking all parking so that wasn’t the best start. Didn’t like that bathroom was on ground floor, beds upstairs with very steep staircase between. If it was mine I’d install an upstairs en-suite. Handyman not very handy.
Quirky .. the weather wasn't the best but I imagine the garden is a great asset in summer.. All equipment you need. There is washing machine if you need it after a day out exploring on your bike . 10 mins walk from the windmill pub . Great food and staff. Being a cottage stairs are very steep . Plenty of parking. Having a big car this was a bonus . Logs were left for log burner, we didn't use it as cottage was warm just with the radiator. I preferred to sit in second lounge as it was lighter. Welcome pack was very thoughtful. Thank you for letting us share your cottage
The lighting when parking you have a short walk on the lane . Would be nice to have light in back garden. So you can walk to back door.
The owners left cakes and milk in the fridge
The stairs are very steep
Beautiful cottage, very well equipped. Stunning views from the garden. Ideal for couples, families and pet dogs.
Cosy cottage in a beautiful spot. Well equipped with everything we needed. The walks around the cottage are worth doing to see the views from the top of the hill. The garden was enjoyed by us all we even managed to lock ourselves out of the house when we were enjoying the garden, thanks to Helen coming to let us in a disaster was averted.
Stairs to the bedrooms are steep and not suitable for the very old or young.
Great location clean comfortable well equipped cosy great space for everything
It is a very quaint cottage in lovely west quantockshead. Nice garden with area to eat outside and fantastic views from the top garden.
We loved the quirky cottage , amazing space and so cosy. Adored the garden especially the top bit which felt like a bit of a secret garden
Nothing. It was perfect for us
This beautiful old cottage with so much character had all we needed. The outlook from the garden was stunning and we were able to start out on walks from the door. Milk and cake on arrival. The log fire. Good central heating keeping the place comfortable and the utility room enabled us to dry our wet clothing. Our small car parked easily in the covered parking area. The bathroom will be nicely updated soon.
Had not understood that those in the double bedroom would have to walk through the twin bedded room to get downstairs. We should have taken the option of using the bed settee. Yes steep steps and stairs in the cottage but that had been made clear.
Very cozy, clean well equipped cottage, in good location to explore Somerset and North devon.
Nothing all good.
Highly recommend if you're in the area!! Beautiful cottage- really spacious, well decorated and well catered for. The location is convenient and the host was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again! If I may say, the pictures on booking.com don't do this place justice and would recommend refreshing them :)

Lovely location, very friendly and helpful hosts who communicated brilliantly and left lots of kind touches for us. Charming cottage with great character and everything needed for a comfortable stay. Very well equipped kitchen! Fantastic views across the surrounding land and out to sea. Excellent value and we would have loved to stay longer!
Location
We loved the old fashioned character of the place and the log fire.
Location
Stairs steep no light at top of the stairs , no bathroom facilities upstairs , smoke alarms kept going off , bathroom under renovation , overall needs updating
The property had a quirky layout which was fun. It was well appointed, with plenty of kitchen utensils, microwave toaster, modern cooker, etc. The heating was excellent, very warm! We were welcomed with a bottle of wine and chocolate cake. There were lovely views from the garden, but it was not the time of year or weather to enjoy it.
The 2 main bedrooms are joined by an open shared walk through area, as we were 2 couples, we opted to have a bed settee set up in the dining room for extra privacy, but it wasn't comfortable, we kept rolling into the middle of the bed, we were glad we were only there for 3 nights. The parking options for 2 cars is not great.
Everything, lovely cosey cottage. In walking distance of St Audries Park where we went to a Wedding Reception

Really good size cottage, for really reasonable price, everything we could need supplied!!
Beautiful old cottage ,in peacefull location ,views to die for!!
Location was brilliant, views from top garden were amazing,, entire cottage was cool in a heatwave with garden & neighbouring friendly horses., Exceptionally well equipped with many more kitchen bits & bobs than I have at home!! Good communication from host. Clean. Nearby pubs lovely - Windmill for view, lovely staff & good food The Plough at Holford for exceptional menu, friendly staff & GREAT food. All dog friendly. Great Wood beautiful. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you
If mobility issues, steep steps & stairs will be a struggle. If you prefer a modern place, this may not be for you!!
location, character, old fashioned furnishings but modern kitchen, good parking
no complaints
A wonderful cottage in a beautiful rural area. Warm, homely and extremely comfortable.
Nothing
Location perfect. Lots of nature walks. Fabulous views from top garden. Quaint comfortable cottage with lots of space. Warm. Both central heating and log burner very welcoming. Facilities and welcome pack very good. Excellent communication with hosts. Very grateful for late checkout.
In need of some TLC. Tired and wethered . Several cobwebs around, may add to the cottage style. Lounge carpet very old. Lots of animal hairs on carpet and sofa. Main Stairs had very high, narrow steps. Parking at top of garden with narrow entrance and had to drive to top of road to turn. Didnt find a local shop or cashpoint, other than a few miles away.
lovely cottage in small village, very near to St Andries Park wedding venue

Quirky cottage as described, has some lovely original features, well equipped kitchen, big bathroom.
Not a dislike but Needs a little TLC.and a few modernisations, as pets are allowed to stay in the property there was a distinct aroma of dog.
Very adequate older-stlye cottage, comprehensively equipped and ideal for a short break (especially if, like us, you are dog-owners). Great location, sufficiently far away from the main road for it to be lovely and quiet. Excellent value. The Windmill pub (less than ten minutes walk down the hill) is similalry well-recommended.
Had a lovely little stay at Moonfleat Cottage , Choice of 2 car parking spaces, It was comfortable very clean ,and was extremely well equipped .Cottage was larger than we expected . Grass Garden area at the back ,yes there was a lot of steps to negotiate but we knew that before going so not a problem to us . Local pub The Windmill is easily under 10 mins walk, is very good with decent home cooked food and is dog friendly but best to book to ensure you get a decent table in the bar with lovely views . Easy to get to many beauty spots from the cottage ,inc Watchet ,Dunster ,Minehead and Porlock all in the same direction and all done in one day . We would not hesitate to return .
