Great location and really well-appointed property
Location was breathtaking, and just a stone’s throw from our favorite pub on Earth!

Waters Edge House, Sligo: A Coastal Retreat with Comfort and Charm I had the pleasure of staying at Waters Edge House in Sligo, and it was an experience that I will cherish. This charming coastal home strikes the perfect balance between comfort, relaxation, and stunning natural beauty. Upon arrival, the first thing that strikes you is the breathtaking view of the sea. The house is perfectly positioned to offer panoramic vistas, allowing guests to enjoy the ebb and flow of the tide from the comfort of their own space. Whether you're sipping your morning coffee or winding down after a day of exploration, the view is nothing short of mesmerizing. Inside, the house offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The interiors are thoughtfully designed with an emphasis on coziness and relaxation. From the comfortable furnishings to the thoughtfully curated decor, it’s clear that the owners have created a space meant to help guests unwind and feel at home. It's a perfect blend of modern convenience and homely charm, ensuring a restful and stress-free stay. One of the standout features of the property is its proximity to a fantastic beach bar located right next door. The bar offers a great selection of drinks and local delicacies, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely afternoon or evening out. It's the kind of place that enhances the experience, providing a relaxed environment with friendly service and a vibrant atmosphere. Additionally, I must highlight the host, Helen, whose communication was excellent throughout the stay. She made the arrival and departure process seamless, offering helpful information and clear instructions, which ensured that we felt well taken care of from start to finish. Overall, I would highly recommend Waters Edge House for anyone looking to escape to a peaceful coastal retreat. Whether you’re visiting for a weekend getaway or a longer stay, this house offers everything you need for a comfortable and memorable experience.
Nothing
Lovely, comfortable, relaxing accommodation with parking included. Great location with added benefit of being a short walk from The Beach Bar - a Traditional Irish Pub with Restaurant. Wonderful, exceptional views of the surf, sea and mountains from the property.
Excellent location. Recently renovated house, all access was on one level. Parking outside door, outdoor seating, beach, views, and pub/restaurant within walking distance is huge bonus.
Stunning location. We were blown away by the fantastic views from every window.
The property was so perfect - the location was superb, the cottage was so so clean, and Helen was an amazing host. We walked out onto the beach every morning and were so happy we wished we stayed longer.
We loved the location at the Atlantic! And the space in and around the house
We loved every minute of our stay at the Waters Edge. There were five adults in our group, and the space was perfect - comfortable, well-equipped, and absolutely spotless. Every facility we could have needed was provided, and the little touches, like the fresh flowers on arrival, made it feel extra special and welcoming. The location is stunning. Waking up to the sound of the water each day was incredibly soothing, and there's a real sense of peace and calm that surrounds the area. One of the highlights was having a lovely beach bar just a stone’s throw away - perfect for a relaxing drink with a view or a bite to eat. This home made our trip to Sligo unforgettable, and we’re already talking about when we might return. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a serene and charming getaway on the Irish coast.
Nothing!
Waters Edge is a magical place to stay on the beautiful West Coast of Ireland. The warmth and kindness of Helen the host really gets the stay off to a great start - as soon as you step inside the property you realise that it far exceeds expectations - the set up, the views, the quality, the facilities and the location are better than the photos can show! Its an amazing holiday home by the sea, near a great pub - it's been genuinely brilliant. A mix of all the weather while we were there in February 25, (as expected), but so much sun and fun too amongst a few showers and winds! We've loved absolutely everything about it. We really hope to come again sometime. We would come back in a flash! Family of 4 from Cornwall. 😃😃😃😃
It was all great!
Everything was absolutely fabulous! An amazing stay in everyday
Everything was perfect
Beautiful home and the views were spectacular. Host couldn't have been more kind and helpful. Highly recommend!
Loved the location, the house.. loved everything..
Wifi is a little slow but the whole point of going to a place like this is to get away and relax.
Beautiful scenery, immaculate refurbished cottage with lots of space and very close to the Beach and beach bar
Incredible location, with ever changing views of the sea, countryside and mountains.
Understand being charged separately for oil and electricity but would be good for the booking to mention this. (Stock up on €2 coins for the meter!)
We loved our stay here, the views, the access to the beach and the looped walk and the lovely pub close by. The house was really comfy and had everything we could have needed. I would definately recommend for a relaxing trip. Helen was very welcoming and helpful during our stay.
Although we absolutely didn't mind it, we were unaware that we would have to pay for electricity and oil on top of the booked cost. It wasn't a large charge for us, but this should be a little clearer when booking.
This place for retreat RIGHT ON THE SEA is astounding! There is a path along the cliff to the left of the house past an old well dedicated to St. Patrick that holds wonder. Renewing for body soul and mind, a sweet sweet retreat place we can't wait to return to next year.
The location is utterly stunning and Helen leaves the house so homely, with flowers and freshly baked bread. It is a treat to stay here. The open front door reveals poor magic in the calm and wild seas of the Wild Atlantic Way. This house is a lovely comfy stay and we have been back many times.
