Location was excellent, lovely walkway down to beach and Staad Abbey, cottage had everything and was very warm and cozy. John is a lovely person, and you can see he puts a great deal of work into the cottages.
Location and peaceful
No problem at all with the property
Everything!! Cosy & warm house. The view is amazing. You get the beach and the mountains in the same location. We catched up the sunset in the back garden… gorgeous! Location is really good. And John such a great guy!!! He helped us with the barbecue … we will definitely coming back! Tks Jhon!
The only thing is the boiler system that we need to wait to take a shower but it wasn’t a big deal.
John is a very nice guy and a very attentive host. The surrounding area is very nice, with beautiful views and adorable livestock. The neighboring village has everything you need. The cottage was 100% clean.
To be honest, the cottage felt really cramped for 5 people, the space is rather small and already quite full.
The house was absolutely beautiful. John was so welcoming and friendly. Tea, coffee milk and a lovely apple tart left for us on arrival.
The location was a little bit out. You needed a car to go anywhere. Shops, take away. With small kids it was too far to walk.. We love a evening walk to grab a coffee and treat for the kids but local shops were too long a walk with the kids.
Owner was a lovely guy and very helpful and kind
No problem
Un très bon accueil , très bien placé
Stunning location. The cottage had everything we needed for family get away. John was a fabulous host. We will definitely return
Super friendly host and super comfortable cottage situation close to several areas of interest to visit. The cottage is very authentic and our host met us to explain everything; we felt immediately at home.
Nothing to dislike here; everything was set up well for us
Great location which we used a base to travel around Sligo/Donegal/Leitrim. Great facilities in the house. Helpful and informative host.
Everything was perfect.
Very easy!
Beautiful site, easy access to short walks to the sea, great hospitality, thanks so much for the apple pie and especially the music! John, we are very grateful, God bless! Everything was just fine and completely uncomplicated.
Quiet break quiet location, suited us. Homely would be a good description. Host very accomodating friendly, left us milk, scones tea coffee and sugar. Plenty of towels.
Spiders, we weŕe in the countryside, so what do you expect?
The location was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! The house and amenities were awesome, we had everything we needed plus John left us treats! We were able to wash and hang out our laundry, cook ourselves some meals. The walk down back on the property and beyond was breathtaking, especially at sunset. All the roses were beautiful! The cows were my niece’s favourite part of the property! I can not say enough good things about John or his property. Thank you for everything! I would definitely recommend this spot to everyone!
Everything was perfect.
John greeted us on arrival, and had the kettle boiled ready so we could make some tea. Location was beautiful - overlooking Benbulbin mountain. It was so quiet and peaceful. A short drive from Sligo or Bundoran.
A lovely small cottage (2 bedroom). Ideal for a couple. Warm and cosy. John the host was very kind and helpful. Beautiful views of Belbulben and a short walk to the beach.
Nothing
It was a lovely location near Ben Bulbin and the sea with lovely restaurants within easy reach. The only downfall was the weather quite wet but thats the luck of the draw.

Great location with lovely views. The property was in excellent condition inside and out. I would have no hesitation in recommending Beezies cottages.
Perfect 2 bed cottage in a great location with beach and other attractions nearby. Lovely place for some peace and quiet and a break away from the city. John was very welcoming and even had milk and a cake for us when we arrived!!
Everything was great
Everything ,very clean and comfortable, John was very welcoming even had a wee cake and kettle boiled!! Near the sea beautiful scenery and views , very peaceful and safe for my boys to run about

We were met by John, the owner of the cottage, It's a 2 bedroom house, clean, quiet, and cosy, it's a self catering cottage so there were no staff but John the owner was very nice and always come to our assistance whenever I called him, the cottage is located in the country side of Sligo very close to the beach and less than 30 minutes drive to the city centre, I love the area it's very quiet and peaceful as I love quiet environment myself, the kids love it there as well and they didn't want to come back home, there are places to take the kids to and also accommodates adults as well, we drove to Donegal and Bundoran water World and took the kids to the fair ground there as well, which isn't very far from sligo, the kids had such a great time and kept asking when we were coming back to sligo and stay at the cottage again. All in all, we had a pleasant stay at Beezies Self Catering Cottage and hopefully we would visit sligo in the near future... Thanks so much John for a pleasant stay at your cottage it was home away from home 🏡.
The only thing I didn't like was that there were some little spiders in the cottage, and my daughter kept telling me to kill them as she is scared of spiders 🕷 and flies 🪰 but other than that we had a great time and enjoyed our stay at the cottage.
This was such an exceptional experience. Our host John is a true gentleman and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We loved the incredible views of Ben Bulben in the front and Streedagh out back, the cleanliness of the house, the comfort of the beds, the well-appointed kitchen, the lovely bar in the house, and the spacious back garden. The accessibility to Grange Village was very straightforward (7-minute drive) and we had lovely walks to Staad Abbey (15 minutes by foot) and Streedagh Beach (45 minutes by foot). On top of this all, John even arranged a lift to and from a local restaurant for us (he drove one of the legs!) as the local taxi driver was unfortunately in hospital the weekend we stayed at Beezies. Surfing at Streedagh and Rossnowlagh Strand were also in reach with surfboard and wetsuit rental at Surfworld in Bundoran. We will definitely be back!
It's impossible to find any faults with our experience at Beezies.
Fantastic comfortable house, beautiful location. John is an amazing host. Had apple tart, milk in fridge and wine for us on arrival. Highly recommend
Very clean and comfortable place to stay. John the owner is very accommodating. Highly recommended.
None
John was there to welcome us with scones, cakes and milk in the fridge!
I liked how it was out in the countryside but also accessible to sligo & bundoran. Also liked the wee bar area and the walkway through fields to get to the beach. Loved how he decorated for my dads birthday! Not many places would!
Wasn’t impressed by the neighbours for saying we were being loud late at night and out front smoking when we werent we kept to minimal noise as my family were asleep , also in regards to us on scooters, 4 boys was seen, it was 2 girls 2 boys was a bit over the top we were just enjoying our time and keeping ourselves to ourselves!
A warm welcome with a boiled kettle and apple pie. A personal overview of the property and it's functions and facilities. Plenty of advice about local tourist sites and eateries that proved to be well founded and worth visiting. A beautiful, quiet location within 10 minutes walk of the sea (rocky) and a 5 minute drive of sandy Streedagh beach. An outhouse is available to dry wetsuits or store beach gear.
Kettle on and scones ready for our arrival. Beautiful location and excellent accommodation. The host was nearby for any additional needs and had great recommendations.
Nothing!
The warm welcome, the peace and quiet and wonderful location between the mountains and the sea. John the host is thoughtful and a great communicator.
Kitchen is a bit small but then it is a proper little cottage
Enjoyed our stay a lot.
For tall people the upstairs is a bit challenging.
There are two individual cottages available. We had the smaller but it was still perfectly roomy for three adults. Two full baths. Kitchen essentials supplied (including a lovely apple tart!). The host John is utterly charming. The location overlooking the sea is just spectacular. Very easy walk down to Streedagh Beach. And the view of Benbulben in the other direction is gorgeous. We used this as a base for day trips to Slieve League and Donegal Town, stopped in at the Rusty Mackerel, Glencar Waterfall and Gleniff Horseshoe, Bundoran, and the Fairy Bridges. It's in a quiet area, so great sleeping.
Fantastic location with wonderful views all around. John was very friendly and helpful and the property had a lot of small touches that helped us with our stay. For example, prior to arriving, we had driven over to Coney Island and the two cars were splattered with salty sand. There was a hose and a brush in the yard for just such an eventuality.
Can't really think of anything that didn't live up to our hopes, except maybe the weather. All amenities were provided and the beds were comfortable. The house is a very warm house too.
Location Facilities Hospitality Beautiful nature
Classic Irish country cottage in a beautiful location. John is a great host and the area is absolutely gorgeous.
Initially a little tricky to find, despite signs. Worth mentioning that it is at the end of a series of long narrow country roads!
Cozy cottage tucked away in a peaceful setting with easy access to all amenities. Warm welcome by host John, making every effort to make my stay comfortable. View from the cottage of Benbulben, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Peaceful gem of a spot where you will get away from it all.
The welcome from John couldnt have been better. Very friendly and knew the local area so well. The house was immaculate, cosy and enough space for 2 adults 2 kids. The addition of the goodies and a boiled kettle on arrival just sums up Irish hospitality. Garden so well kept with private path down to the beach. 15 min drive to Bundoran/Sligo. Benbulben Forest Park walk close by perfect for long walks and bike rides. There was a shed to store the bikes.
Nothing. Everything was great.
Wonderful House with a beatiful sea. John was very friendly.
A lovely, spacious cottage with lots of character. Comfortable beds. Excellent heating system and showers. Very well equipped. Lovely walk from back door along quiet lane to the sea. The host John was very welcoming and helpful. Cottage is located down country lanes but only 5 minutes drive to Grange and an excellent Supervalu.
Felt very welcome.
Everything was fine.
John was the consummate host. He actually knew my relatives (that I hadn't yet met). He was wonderful and showed genuine sympathy for the loss of my sister. The beautiful paved walk that he made through the back of the yard that led to the road to Staad Abbey and the wild beach was amazing! I hope to be back. Maybe with enough family to use the larger cottage or both cottages!!
From the off John was friendly, helpful and welcoming ,a font of local knowledge and we enjoyed the treats John provided. Our little two bed cottage was exactly as described, the area was quiet and peaceful but close enough to anything we wanted to do incuding lovely walks to the rocky shore beach and the beautiful Streedagh beach (longer walk) it was also close to many places of interest - the best of both worlds. We felt very relaxed there and recommend Beezies to anyone wishing visit Sligo.
Firstly John was a fantastic host, check you in and unless you need him he leaves you to your own devices. The cottage was lovely, three big spacious rooms that sleep three each. lovely walks and beaches within a stones throw. location to grange village was ideal for shop, pub etc. Sligo and Bundoran were just 15/20 minute drive. will definitely be back.
What a beautiful, clean, warm and comfortable house with amazing views! John is such a fantastic host - he could not have been more accommodating. He had the heat and kettle on for us when we arrived, milk in the fridge and a beautiful cake and box of chocolates left for us to enjoy. We had such an enjoyable stay and would have no problem recommending Beezies. We hope to come back again someday! Thanks for everything John.
When we arrived John was there to give us a great welcome. The house was absolutely beautiful and located in a spectacular area. The views from the house are something that everyone should experience. The house is located very close to all amenities and there are things within a short drive away to do the young families. The experience that we had was brilliant and hopefully we will get to visit again very soon.
Beezies is the kind of accommodation you might dream about when planning an Irish holiday - a comfortable cottage in the countryside within a short drive of beaches, villages, mountain hikes, seaside resorts, & the city of Sligo. John is the consummate host, whose instinct for hospitality and attention to detail only make your stay more relaxing. What we also know (and hope you needn't learn firsthand) is that if misfortune should befall you during your stay, you can't ask for a better friend in your corner than John Feighney. We would recommend a stay at Beezies without hesitation.
John could not do enough for us Cottage clean Had a little welcome gift also which was lovely.
Just a little to remote
Absolutely stunning, has everything you need. so much space.
The location was perfect. As we arrived John opened up the cottage and explained the workings of the heating and immersion heater.
I was a bit disappointed that only one shower could be used at the one time I believe this was caused by the water pressure in the area and not any fault of the owner.
We were self catering so provided our own breakfast The location was amazing and the grandchildren loved the surroundings. could not find one fault with this property and the host was very helpful
Almost everything ... the host, the location and a view that was stunning. Everything John the host says was totally true... the beach, the pubs and restaurants and you are surrounded by history. Glorious!
The cottage was charming, John gave us a great welcome and brilliant tips about the area and places to visit. We would definitely like to stay at Beezies Cottage again.
Location was great and easy access to several beaches in Sligo area.
Stunning location close to Streedagh beach & a great base for sightseeing & shopping in Sligo. John was an excellent host & the cottage is certainly a home from home. Quiet peaceful & so relaxing. A thoroughly enjoyable break. A large garden & rear yard easily accommodated 2 cars which was safe & secure.
Very little. The entire family had a great time.
The cottage is very well equipped and had everything we needed. It is in the most beautiful of settings with amazing views of Benbulbin to the front, and the coast to the rear. It also has a large garden, perfect for children to play. John, the host, was warm and welcoming and provided some top notch recommendations on local attractions and places to eat. This location was just fantastic- a little piece of heaven. Would highly recommend.
John was a fantastic host. A+++++. We really enjoyed our stay fantastic location.
Everything was excellent. Fabulous little 3 bed quirky gorgeous cottage style dwelling tucked away but very accessible to lots around, backdrop of Benbulbin every morning and beautiful walk way down to local beach and streedagh beach 3km away. Perfect all round and John was an excellent host. Definitely will be back and would highly recommend.
Fridge freezer would be a welcome addition
