This is a fantastic property and Catherine is a great host. She met us on arrival to let us in and there was a Welcome Basket of necessities in the kitchen - milk, bread, coffee, biscuits and a nice bottle of wine. Catherine even braved a thunderstorm to check that we were OK! The property itself was really nicely decorated and very clean. It had excellent facilities - full kitchen with coffee machine - everything you could want. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Fernfield to anyone else staying in the area. It's centrally located for Derrybeg and Bunbeg and easy to find. A couple of top tips for future visitors. You can get groceries at Gallagher's over the road - including pods for the coffee machine - and at the Spa a bit further up the road. We can also recommend Apache Pizza, the Sunrise Bistro Indian Takeaway (in Molloy's Spa) and Fara Óg's Restaurant at the An Chuirt hotel.
Het is een gezellig huisje ,niet groot maar ruim voldoende voor 2 personen en vlak bij zee.Open haard in de zitkamer. Zeer gastvrije eigenares. Er stond van alles klaar . Een mand met delicatessen en een koelkast met melk, orange jus en boter.Omdat wij ruim op leeftijd bleken werden er twee gemakkelijke tuinstoelen naast de picknicktafel gezet.
Niets. Alles was in orde.
The comfortable beds
Property was well fitted out and very quiet and relaxing location The owner left with a nice welcome pack and popped on our arrival and give us some local tips
Property was a bit tired and table in kitchen was small it over very good
The cottage was a wonderful retreat during my eight night stay. The entire place was spotlessly clean and wonderfully comfortable. I’m grateful to have had a terrific stay.
Amazing on every count: location, comfort, all mod cons…

Loved the area ❤️ but can be hard to find if your new to the area but had a lovely time and very prevented overall, exceptional wee mini breat
Gates at too of drive were opened and branches over hard to see the name settee would be better and more relaxing with a two seater recliner but overall excellent 👌 Thank you Catherine for the wee gift 🎁 will try and get.backbnext summer when it's dryer and warmers. Rhoda xx
Location was great for travelling from , quiet at night time to enable rest. Host was excellent and had shared a lot of information about facilities within the surrounding areas.

Despite arriving before the check in time, we were welcomed with a legendary Irish hospitality and able to get in early. There is a private secluded garden which was perfect for having a G&T in the sun? 😎
I honestly cannot think of anything that's negative to say... We will return! 😊
The location is great and hosts were very accomodating! Cosy cottage with everything you need for a short stay.
The location
The weather
The location was amazing for access to the beach as well as the local pubs and shops. The hosts had left some lovely extras to make the stay that bit more comfortable. By far the best place we have stayed on our trips over to Donegal 😊

The supply of food provision was greatly Appreciated .We were welcome with a loaf of bread, cornflake , milk, a Carton of orange juice and many more. That was a very kind gesture from the host. The accommodation was very welcoming. Nice bed, clean and tidy. Overall we spent a fabulous time and would highly recommend the place.
It got chilly in the evening.
Close shops,pubs, and beaches.
We loved how it had everything that could be needed for a 5 day stay and more ,,the welcome hamper was fantastic and a nice touch .The beds was so comfortable and clean, the heating was fantastic and an open fire if you chose. The host Catherine was lovely and very helpful, would definitely use this property again.
There wasn’t a fault to be found
Catherine had left Bread, Milk, Biscuits, Tea, coffee, Juice and cereal. All the basics like cooking oil, salt, pepper, etc was there too. Netflix available which was great. Cottage was clean and comfortable and within walking distance of bar and restaurant. We travelled to Annagry to eat on two of the nights and there was an excellent local taxi service provided by Charlie at reasonable rates.
It was cosy. Very clean. Good location. Had everything you need

Fantastic cottage with great hosts , we arrived late and our hosts had left coffee tea juice and a few other staples in the house for us which was fantastic, the house was spotless and we had an amazing stay , our hosts gave us information on local places to eat and see and I could not speak more highly of them so thank you to pat and Catherine
We had no issues at all , the cottage was great and we had an amazing holiday
Beautiful comfortable house.
Derrybeg was nice, has restaurants and shops within walking distance. The nearby beach is really nice for a walk. The house was good, hot water for showers and comfortable beds. The owners left us a welcome pack with some basics which was lovely.
Excellent location and close to all amenities, including bars, restaurants, tourist attractions, and beaches.
We really enjoyed staying in the accommodation for a host of different reasons and would highly recommend it for visitors planning to visit Gweedore.
This charming wee cottage is based in Gweedore and is located closely to very scenic beaches (within walking distance). This property was well maintained and had everything we needed. The host even provided us with a starter food pack including milk, butter, bread and wine to get us started. We were able to use washing machines and all bedding and towels were provided. We have two young kids and I prefer that this property was not state of the art but it was clean and had everything we needed. I would highly recommended it for anybody travelling with kids. The house would not be big enough for 5 but it suited us 4 really well.
Nothing.
Not as close to pubs/restaurants as I had thought, and did not realize the very limited hours on these at this time of year. Cottage is stand-alone and set-back a good distance from the main street [quiet]. Spar store very handy. Hosts were very responsive to the minor issues we had. Good location for day trips along the coast or to Glenveagh NP. Well-equipped kitchen, lovely big towels
A few little things in some disrepair [some lights, non-working taps, loose handles on windows] but nothing that was a major problem or that wasn't more than offset by the positives.
Clean, fully equipped. Welcome pack. Nice garden. Quiet.
Very small rooms. Beds only double, not king-sized. Hot water in bathroom just a trickle. Shower very small and not much power. No freezer.
Catherine was a very friendly, helpful and generous host. There was a lovely selection of provisions, toiletries and towels.

Everything. The hosts were exceptional. Readily available for assistance. Welcome basket of goodies was appreciated!!
We liked everything
location is perfect. handy to shop, takeaway, bar and restaurants. 2minutes drive to the nearest beach for lovely walk. 15 minutes to Errigal mountain. Plenty of scenic routes.
The location was perfect for what we needed close by to good pubs and restaurants just walking distance. The hosts were great and there was a lovely welcome basket with treats real attention to detail and the wee cottage was just perfect, cosy with everything you need.
Nothing.
Lovely ,clean cottage house ,close to everything .Highly recommended;)
The owners invited us into their home for tea while they sorted out a matter involving the check-in. They were lovely and sorted it out quite quickly.
Everything was great.
The host was so helpful and welcoming. She was brilliant to deal with from the minute we booked. We were given detailed information about the local area restaurants and pubs etc. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.
Mattresses were very comfortable. Great sleep
All good
beautiful location shops takeaways bars etc very close
everything was perfect
Catherine was very accommodating and hospitable, and the property was exactly as presented in the listing.
This house is perfect for touring Donegal. The beds are very comfortable, it is spotlessly clean and nice and warm. Perfect for a family or two couples. Hosts were great and really helpful.
Nothing, one of the best places I have stayed.
