Clean. Host very friendly.
Tricky to get the showers to heat up.
Very nice clean place . I met Jim upon arrival and was such a lovely man. Highly recommend
Jim is a legend. Had a makings of a full irish in the fridge for us
Jim met us at the property and showed us around. Very generous food supplies were left for us to make a most substantial breakfast for all 6 of us the next morning.😊
All good
Jim was so helpful. He met us at the property to check in. He had all the makings of a fry up left in the fridge for breakfast as well as tea, coffee and fresh milk. The house was lovely and had everything you'd need.

Great house Jim the host was lovely and very helpful Left us the makings of a breakfast in the fridge and everything it was a lovely gesture Will definitely return
House was very comfortable and warm, spacious sitting room to relax in, nice showers, comfortable beds. Lovely kitchen with food left for a cooked breakfast. Excellent host met us on arrival and walked us through the facility. Would definitely stay again if the opportunity arose
WiFi was available but not great for streaming services with only Irish channels available on tv
Hosts were amazing to deal with, absolutely lovely people. Really unique quaint little cottages and was lovely having some food there for the morning!!
Some of the rooms (mostly bathrooms) could have been a little cleaner
Vriendelijke ontvangst, alleraardigste hulp, ook met het ontbijt. Hele schone en mooie locatie.
The place and the environment

Sallys cottage is in a Lovely rural location. The most comfortable bed I’ve slept on whilst away. Fresh, clean bedding and lots of towels. Washing machine and tumble dryer made family life easier. Breakfast basket a very nice touch. Jim was friendly and efficient when contacted re concerns/queries about the property.
Property is tired, it is in need of TLC. I’m sure it was fab a few years ago but it’s really in need of a freshen up and some basic refurbishments- a lick of paint would do wonders to bring it back to life and make it feel worth the money. An electricity meter on outside to be paid with €2, (not mentioned prior to stay, found info in the house booklet) half way through our stay the access box was locked so we couldn’t top it up- not sure if this was due to us putting enough in it or if it’s not actually in use. Showers were an issue- owner acted quickly when concerns were raised and told us he had the electrics in one checked and ok’d by an electrician, he sealed round the other that was leaking. A washing line or clothes airer would be a fab addition as there was nowhere to hang washing to dry- didn’t want to hang on radiators.
Het was stil en rustig en persoonlijk ontvangst
Ruim huis met veel voorzieningen
Perfect accommodation in close proximity to Kilronan Castle. Lovely hosts who left us eggs and food for breakfast; such a lovely touch. Comfy beds with lots of space in the house. Highly recommend.
So clean and welcoming. Jim was the perfect host and left a fabulous breakfast for us even though not included. The cottage was so warm.
The breakfast left in fridge was a lovely touch. It was well appreciated the morning after a wedding.
Jim was a pleasure to deal with, he met us on arrival and provided us with food for our stay. The house was lovely and not too far outside of town either.
It was all good
A lovely holiday home. A 5 min drive to Kilronan castle so location was great! Jim arrived with sausages, pudding, bread, milk etc which was a lovely touch, appreciated
Nothing!
great
Incredible location, close to loads of amenities but in a quiet area, plenty of space in the houses and felt so homey and comfortable. Lovely breakfast in the fridge for the mornings and a brilliant place for a group!
Very cosy and peaceful. Had everything we needed. Jim was a fantastic host. A lovely breakfast was left for us in the fridge upon arrival. Would highly recommend. If there was any critique, I would suggest adding a mattress topper for the bed in the main room but overall we loved our stay here.
The hosts very kindly left the contents of an Irish breakfast for us to cook in the morning 🤗
No issues
Close to hotel where wedding was that we attended .Items in fridge a lovely surprise and Jim gave us a lovely welcome when checked in.
Location was close to the Kilronan Castle
Everything was great
This property was brilliant, Jim met us on arrival with keys. It is 5 mins drive to Kilronan. The lodge is fully stocked with towels/blankets/cooking utensils anything you could possible need! Fridge was also filled with items for breakfast the next morning - very nice touch.
Lovely cosy house with the extra touch of food in the fridge for a fry in the morning
it was ideally located for us as we were attending a wedding near by

Very well located near kilronan castle
House was very primitive and not very clean.
Eggs, sausages and bacon and black pudding and beans were left in the fridge for us. Very good Irish quality. Nice Irish soda bread and milk too. Very quiet and restful house. Host had thought of anything we might need -anything from sewing kit, soap to shoe polish to info on the area, taxi nos etc. It was good to meet him too when he showed us the house on arrival.
We liked everything,
Loved the location and quietness
Paying the electricity meter

Great location with quick access to Leitrim village, drumshanbo and carrick on Shannon
