Orchard Cottage

The property was very clean and well looked after. Had everything we needed while we stayed at Orchard Cottage. Location was ideal for us as we needed to be close to Blackwater. Would definitely recommend orchard cottage. The grounds are beautiful. The apple tart and soda bread was a lovely welcoming touch and it was much appreciated.

Fantastic location. Great proximity to many beaches. Safe and secure for kids to play. Great facilities and well stocked kitchen.

It was an amazing stay, we all loved staying here. There was even some amazing apple pie for us on arrival. There were amazing hosts. We could not recoenough.

We had the most amazing stay. The house is beautiful and has everything you could need and more. The beds were so comfy. The hosts left us a freshly baked apple tart and fresh homemade brown bread with real butter. Absolutely delicious and very much appreciated. We have been to Wexford 3 times now and the kids say this is their favourite stay :)

Lovely cottage, very well appointed. Clean and comfortable. Owners had supplied milk, tea, homemade soda bread and apple tart, such a thoughtful treat. We arrived late and it was no issue.

Lovely stay, some books and toys for the kids was a nice touch! Place was clean and cosy. Best part was the homemade bread, pie and jams. Delighted with our trip!

We were welcomed with brown bread and freshly made apple tart, ideal place to stay with children so comfy, cozy and the orchard is so beautiful.

The cottage was spillover accommodation for us as the family home couldn't host any more during the Christmas holidays. Thus, we made limited use of it. Even so, it was charming and a delightful home away from home, well equipped and the treats on arrival are a lovely detail from the hosts. It was also excellent value.

We'd like to have seen a little more control over the heating.

Fully equipped kitchen, spotless clean living space and peaceful surroundings of an orchard /garden accessible from the main bedroom. Great information provided for things to do in the area and hosts on hand for anything needed. Lovely touch arriving to home baked rhubarb and apple tart and brown soda bread. Paul and Shirley were lovely to deal with. Less than two minutes drive to the beach.

The house was perfect had everything we needed and was spotless. We were greeted by the smell of freshly baked soda bread and apple tart. Such a lovey touch. The garden area was beautiful. There was even toys and books that my daughter could play with. We had such a relaxing stay.

We really loved this Cottage. We wanted a quiet relaxing break with green surroundings near a beach and that is what what we got. The size was perfect for our 2 adult, teen and toddler family. There was books to read and tractors to play with, which my son loved. We didn’t want for anything as everything was there for use! I cooked a bit and had everything I needed, even oil that we didn’t think of bringing for the fried eggs. The owners left us a homemade rhubarb apple tart and homemade brown bread. They even thought of the good butter for the brown bread and homemade jam. Luckily for my teen the house has WiFi. We had access to a beautifully kept orchard that my son enjoyed running round and round. There’s a big gate to make it safe for young children. You can tell straight away from arrival how well looked after the whole garden is. Shower was always nice and hot! And it was used a lot and never went cold. What a location!! Hidden gem!! The beach is just 15 minutes walk away. The road down to the beach is quiet and safe for everyone walking. A few friendly locals were seen and will always wave and say hello. The beach was so quiet, even on the hotter days. We love some nice grub but we only managed to try The Village Chipper in Blackwater town, which is only a 5 minute drive from the cottage. They had everything from full Irish, chipper food and even excellent dinners you would think you could only get in a pub or cafe. On our last morning we sat down and had breakfast here. Everyone enjoyed the food! The owners are genuinely friendly people and not far if we needed them. I felt comfortable enough to ask a question and ask for a lend of some crutches 😆 Thanks again Paul and Shirley! We’ll be back to the cottage again for another peaceful stay!

Situated in rural wexford, 5 minute drive to local village. The house is immaculate. Lovely lay out. Toys and books for kids to play with. Bread and tart ready to eat, milk, butter. Kitchen has everything. Beds are comfortable. Shower is hot. The main bedroom opens out into the garden. The orchard is beautiful. I literally relaxed the minute i went in the door. Lovely clean cot and high chair provided. Kids were so excited to see the house and books. The gates close in the garden, such a safe place for a 5 and 3 year old. Owners were lovely, professional. 5 minute drive to local beaches and 15 mins from curracloe beach. Lovely local pet farm in blackwater. Walked from raven point forest down onto curracloe beach. Just such a peaceful place.

Tv doesn't really work well, bad reception. But tbh we barely turned it on we were out in the garden so much and out in beautiful countryside.

This was our second stay at this property. We stayed two years previously. The property is in perfect condition and in a great location in the heart of Wexford. We are a family with three young children and it was perfect for us.

A smart TV so that you could connect to Netflix or other streaming services would be quite useful.

Everything is gorgeous. Very clean. So peaceful there. Hosts are so friendly and helpful , so kind to leave fresh apple tart, brown bread and milk. Their little dogs are gorgeous and our little boy loved them. We would return again.

Very spacious, had everything you needed.. the garden is beautiful for kids to sit in and enjoy a picnic very safe place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. On arrival the host left us fresh baked bread and tart.

Really clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there. A lovely touch for when we got there was fresh bread and an apple tart with butter, milk and jam in the fridge.

You can only put the heating on for an hour at a time. It was freezing when we were there and we would get very cold during the night.

Beautiful cottage in a quiet boreen with lots of nearby beaches and villages to explore.

For some reason the water was not hot towards the end of our stay in the shower just lukewarm.

A beautiful comfortable, cosy cottage. Very clean with all amenities. Fabulous orchard garden and outdoor seating area. Anne & Paul were very welcoming and more than helpful. Beautiful home made wheaten bread, rhubarb tart and jam on arrival. A fabulous beach nearby. Couldn’t have been better.

A very warm welcome from our host, we settled straight away into this little cottage. A lovely little garden for the kids to walk round and plenty of parking space. A well equipped kitchen had everything we needed for holiday cooking.

Orchard cottage is the perfect way to feel one with nature, spent a lot of time sitting at the table and chairs outside. Fabulous cottage and views. Close to beaches and fabulous harbours.

Our Ferry was delayed and the Owners accommodated our change of circumstances no problem at all it saved our holiday. Beatiful cottage in a great location fresh bread,pie,fruit and eggs on arrival nice people aswell .We will be definitely coming back.

The communication from the owner was excellent and the negotiated late arrival was appreciated. The cottage offers very comfortable accommodation in a superb country setting. A welcome gift of homemade bread, fruit pie, jam as well as other items was a great surprise and very generous. The beach is a short drive and it is wonderful.

Beautiful cottage near an almost private beach. Really nice take away 5 minutes away in the local village and fabulous take away Pizza and Ice Cream in Bella Napoli in Kilmuckridge. Shirley was so helpful and the house was spotless. Really enjoyed the gorgeous apple sponge she left for us. Will definitely be back.

Lovely 2 bed cottage with orchard garden close to Blackwater village. Great spot for travelling around Wexford - Courtown, Curracloe, Wexford Town and beyond. The cottage was spotless and our host Ann was so accommodating. Loved the homemade bread, apple tart and jam on our arrival.

Excellent experience 😃 On arrival, there was a freshly baked rhubarb tart and brown bread. The cottage is very comfortable and has all you need in it. The flowers and lights outside are beautiful in the evening. Also, there is access to a sitting area outside and a beautiful apple orchard next to the property. Also loved the visit from the family dog Sadie. The cottage is near local amenities with a short drive into Blacwater or Kilmuckridge and plenty of beaches. Also, other tourist attractions are around the area. We really enjoyed our stay at Orchard cottage. Paul greeted us on arrival and departure very friendly. We would highly recommend a visit to this property if you like site seeing. I will have a second visit here in another week or so, can't wait 😀

Orchard Cottage is in a beautiful quiet place, super close to a amazing beach and close to a lot of other great places to visit in Wexford. The host was very nice and on arrival had bread, milk and fruit ready for us as well as a very nice rhubarb tart! all the essentials are in the Cottage, very clean and perfect for our get away. The children loved the walled garden to play and Sadie, the most adorable little dog!

The bathroom could use a shelf for toiletries etc. Just a suggestion.

Freshly baked tart and b/bread was a lovely surprise. House was well equipped and smelt fab. Outdoor seating and garden with a safe road to walk if you had small kids. Views are exceptional on the lane. Beds were comfy. 50/50 fridge freezer so you cld stock up for your holidays. Pics don't do justice to the property imo, it really was lovely

A really comfortable and well presented property. Location was great for what we needed whilst visiting family, it felt very peaceful and private. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything needed to make dinners, the bedrooms were clean with comfortable beds. The hosts have obviously made an effort to make this feel like a home away from home (including an apple pie, bread, milk, tea and coffee upon arrival) and it really shows. Would absolutely book again. Perfect for a long weekend.

Wow, stunning cottage located only a couple of minutes from a lovely beach, the cottage is only 2km from the local village which had everything you would need. The cottage was so quiet at night, such peaceful sleep! The hosts were so lovely and welcoming, great communication and met us on arrival with the keys. As an added bonus, we were delighted to find a freshly baked apple pie and bread and some milk in the fridge for a much needed cuppa after the journey! There is a lovely apple orchard on the property which was a delight. The cottage itself was fantastic, you can see that the hosts have put a lot of effort into making it a really lovely comfortable place to stay after lots of days doing all the tourist attractions in the locality.
