Reviewed Apr 12, 2026Easy access with clear instructions upon arrival. Lovely, clean, and warm room. Everything I needed, plus extra facilities (TV, ironing board, mini soap and shampoo, etc.). There was muesli available, however I didn’t stay for breakfast. Secure off-street parking. Lovely private deck area.
Only a short stay, would’ve loved to enjoy the space more. Nothing to fault, everything was as expected/described as per the listing.

Reviewed Mar 25, 2026The cottage is in a lovely rural setting, surrounded by fields, horses and birdsong. Yet, it is close to Auckland and the black sand beaches on the west coast as well as other amenities. The cottage is beautifully decorated and cosy, very homey and comfortable. There is a lovely deck and garden area for sitting. A bonus is the farm market a short walk down the lane where lots of great food items can be purchased for a simple dinner or snack.
A shelf to place some our things would have been nice

Reviewed Oct 23, 2025The Cotman Cottage was a wonderful stay. The hosts have clearly thought a lot about guest comfort and delivered in every aspect. The cottage was extremely clean, well equipped and the bed was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely addition with the choice of cereals, toast and hot drinks. It is situated on a very peaceful and quiet piece of land and we would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay and explore the area. A truly exceptional stay worthy of 10 stars.

Reviewed Mar 26, 2025Cotman Cottage is such a delightful, cozy hideaway.It’s very clean and very comfortable.Love the animals around,horses,rabbit,hens and saw a pukeko. The hosts were very friendly and Lorraine even took me to my wedding venue in Hobsonville free of charge.A very beautiful holiday spot!!
Just an unusual noise coming from the shower intermittently at night, not sure if it was because I didn’t turn it off properly. Maybe a full length mirror and a couple of coat hangers would be great, but otherwise very special place.

Reviewed Mar 23, 2025Clean fresh & copy! Super secure 1 room tiny house. Great sound proofing. Good coffee lots of drink choices, lovely cookies. Not the Hilton, but definitely a fab place to stay. I'll be back next time I need to stay up that way for sure 🥰👍
If I had to say one thing that some people may not like. The hand basin wasn't huge, but it was definitely big enough for washing your hands. & it's a tiny home. It definitely won't stop me from coming back. Thanks guys for a great stay

Reviewed Dec 5, 2024It was very peaceful, despite being so close to a major road. The little touches were lovely - the breakfast in the fridge, the 2 outdoor sitting areas, the lights in the tree. I loved staying here and would stay again in a heartbeat. It is also close to a lovely market for your food, should you need it.

The cottage was immaculate and clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Sitting on the deck enjoying the afternoon sun is delightful. Would definitely recommend
