Lily's - 3 Bedroom Country Cottage with Large Garden

Lily's cottage is a quaint cottage set close to a small village, Coolaney. The village has two good grocery stores, a pharmacy, and a few establishments to get a bite to eat. Sligo town is not too far, and also other nearby towns again to get the necessary items while away. The house was immaculate and comfortable, with a good-sized kitchen fully equipped and a washer. The house had all the necessary things provided to enjoy our stay, even board games that were enjoyable for young and old. There is a beautiful garden and views of sheep and a church from the front. The host, Josephine, was so lovely and accommodating, and we couldn't say enough about the place and the area. Beaches are nearby, and so are some of the most wonderful hiking trails. We would highly recommend this place for those who enjoy the same.

I can't think of one thing we didn't like...

This cosy country cottage was everything we hoped for. Clean and comfortable with great facilities including laundry, TV room (with Netflix) and a spacious kitchen/dining room. Josephine was a lovely host and gave us our privacy while also making sure we had her contact details if we needed her for anything. The cottage is located in a beautiful part of the Sligo countryside while the nearby village of Coolaney (literally 2 minutes drive away) is home to Bella & Brava, an authentic Italian restaurant that does AMAZING pizzas and offers takeaway so you can enjoy their food while hanging out at Lily's cottage.

Perfect location, amazing cleanliness and the house has everything you need to feel at home. Also, the hostess leaves a lot of things at your disposal that most accommodations don't have. Definitely recommended.

Lily's was the perfect location, size and the cleanliness was remarkable. Josephine was wonderful to deal with - excellent communication prior to arrival and very keen to ensure a pleasant stay.

The cleanest place we've ever stayed. Spacious, comfortable, beautiful location, great garden. Very close to the village but quiet and intimate.

Quiet location. Shops not too far away. Good base to explore that part of Ireland. Spacious garden for children. Really clean. Comfy beds. A proper cot was set up for baby which was a bonus. Kitchen had all we needed. Tv had netflix. Was quick to heat up. Josephine was quick to respond to queries and was quick to meet us when we arrived.

Lovely location. Warm and friendly hosts came and found us when inaccurate gps took us to wrong location nearby. Cozy and clean. Nice change from hotel rooms. Would absolutely return.

Everything was wonderful! Clean, welcoming! We truly enjoyed Sligo! Thanks to the homely and cozy atmosphere, kindness, and friendliness, our work visit to this part of Ireland became a truly unforgettable trip. Highly recommend it from the bottom of my heart.

I wasn’t keen on driving in the dark to the cottage , when you got off the main strip it was hard to see the road but wouldn’t put me off staying that’s just me being a woman!

Everything. Owner even had wine, cheese, crackers. candy and smoked salmon ready for us when we arrived. Living room was trimmed for Christmas. Information was available for places to eat and local sights,

The cottage felt like home from home. Perfect for the family to spend time together in a quiet rural location but close enough to amenities when needed and to the beautiful Markree Castle where we were attending a wedding.

The beds we found a little uncomfortable. They were ok but we are used to king size and a deeper more comfortable mattress. Just personal preference.

Lily's location is outstanding - very quiet and surrounded by a beautiful meadow in the middle of stunning Sligo countryside. It was a pleasure just to sit in the garden and relax. Josephine our host was very helpful and friendly. There was very good communication regarding directions and handing over of keys.

We found the temperature of the hot water to be dangerously high - both my wife and I nearly scalded ourselves. If the temperature controls of the boiler and/or immersion heater cannot be set at a lower level - then perhaps there should be warning notices in the bathroom and kitchen? We found the mattresses to be too soft. However, we recognise that this is a matter of personal preference.

Location is 20 minutes drive from Sligo and nicely arrangements. The host is amazing and helped us to settle in.

We loved this accommodation. The first thing we noticed is that is was immaculately clean. It is a beautiful cottage with views of the countryside from the front and the back. Plenty of parking space and Coolaney is a couple of minutes drive away. We went for nice walks on the road where the property is, and the countryside is beautiful. The property is very cosy and comfortable, with 3 nice bedrooms, bathroom, living room with Tv and board games and a nice big kitchen. We bought our own food and had breakfast and cooked our own dinner. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with stove, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster and a very generous supply of kitchenware and cutlery. There is a utility room and a back entrance that leads to the garden with a nice picnic table.

Nothing, we liked everything.

The house is warm, comfortable and clean. It's located in a scenic area. The landlady is very helpful and friendly. We had all the house facilities we needed, and beds are comfortable and clean. Would highly recommend it as a holiday home to anyone.
