Dream Cottage

Die Hütte hatte ein total tollen Charme. Die Gegend war ruhig und Ländlich. Bis zur nächsten Einkaufsmöglichkeit waren es mit den Auto 10 Minuten. Der Garten würde einladen um dort zu spielen und Sport zu betreiben (eigenen Sachen mitbringen) Die Vermieterin war eine sehr nette Person und Hilfsbereit. Die Betten waren ein Traum. 1 Doppelbett in jeden Schlafzimmer und man hat geschlafen wie eine Prinzessin. Mega flauschig und gemütlich.

Aus meiner Sicht war das Waschbecken viel zu klein. Es war darin nur möglich die Hände zu waschen. Durch das kleine Becken spritzte viel Wasser auf Boden und Wand.

Das Cottage ist sehr schön, wir konnten uns sehr gut Frühstück und Abendessen kochen, es gab sogar einen Air Fryer. Wir könnten die Vermieter persönlich Kennenlernen und waren sehr begeistert, wie schnell Probleme beseitigt wurden.

Es ist immer leicht feucht, man muss ein Trockengerät laufen lassen.

It had everything we needed for our six day stay. Close to Roscommon or Castlerea for grocery shopping. The location in the country was quiet and scenic. Beautiful sunrises. A great spot to use as a base for day trips to Sligo, Galway and Kerry counties. The beds were comfy and the whole cottage was quaint and magical!

One day a field was being fertilized and the smell wasn’t good (but that’s to be expected in farmland!).

Cosy cottage, with all the facilities you would need. Hosts messaged us before arrival with key code to gain access. They also sorted out a minor issue when we messaged them, within a very short time. Property was clean, everything worked as it should. We would definitely stay again.

The light in the kitchen is very dim, and could do with a brighter set of bulbs,

Everything was perfect! Loved staying in Dream Cottage. If you are looking for a cosy place to stay in a quiet rural location but close enough to drive to local amenities and the lovely town of Roscommon, Dream Cottage is ideal. Beautifully clean and tidy.

Sink in the bathroom is too small. Got drownded every time.i tried to wash my face. Floor was getting very wet. Back door needs to be sealed up more. Very mucky outside.

Location was tricky without GPS but normal for Ireland. Lovely cute thatched cottage. A bit small but that was expected. Bedrooms were OK though. Nice and warm and well equipped for out 5 day stay.

Table and folding chairs were not the most stable. Toilet seat was loose.

Very peaceful. Owner had gone out of her way to show us the cottage and let us in.

Urig, romantisch, charmant...einfach ein Häuschen zum Wohlfühlen. Ruhig gelegen. Ausstattung ist super und vollkommen ausreichend für die Selbstversorgung. Im Ort gibt es einen kleinen Einkaufskaden, ansonsten im nahen Umkreis auch Supermärkte. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Wir haben uns nach unseren Ausflügen auf "unser" Cottage gefreut.

Sehr ruhiges, etwas abseits gelegenes Cottage, was hält, dass es verspricht. Himmliche Ruhe, großzügiges Grundstück und reichliche Ausstattung. Gemütliches Wohnzimmer mit Kamin, sehr bequeme Betten und sehr gutem Internet. Es gibt USB Steckdosen im Wohnzimmer, bspw. zum Handy laden. Die Küche ist reichhaltig ausgestattet, Ofen, Herd, Kühlschrank mit Froster, sämtliche Utensilien. Die Aussicht ist ringsum grün. Dream Cottage ist die richtige Bezeichnung, wenn wir wieder in die Gegend reisen, buchen wir gern wieder hier. Erst mit einer großartigen Unterkunft wird der Urlaub perfekt und den hatten wir.

Dream Cottage is exactly what it is called a dream! Totally loved the place. It had everything we needed and fab comfortable beds. The outside area is brilliant, especially for our wee dog who had lots of safe space. Would certainly recommend and would love to return.

It is everything it says it is. We had a wonderful time in this warm, cozy and beautiful cottage. We did day trips to achil Island and galway city...but couldn't wait to get back to the cottage. The beds were so comfortable and the peace and quiet was spectacular.

We loved everything about the cottage, it really was Dream cottage. It was modern inside but still had the quaint cosy feel of a cottage. The log burner was great and we were not cold at all. It was clean in every room. Exceptional value for money

Dream cottage is just that… Absolutely 100% cute … Loads of character , warm cosy and so so comfy. Who cares if it rains all day !!

The host was very nice and responsive to messages. Booked for the Thatched Cottage experience. It was very quiet, with the exception of a neighbor dog that barked for hours on our last night stay. Ballintober has friendly people. Having the place to ourselves with wifi was a plus. Good water pressure. It is not conveniently located for driving/ visiting Ireland on daily trips but it is perfect for those who want to get away for tranquility. The birds sound amazing in the morning. It is better to arrive before dark in case you get lost from coordinates. The host did respond quickly by phone to help.

Unfortunately, there are several concerns that I wish others had mentioned and only in hopes of owner improvements, not to hurt their business. Though there was good water pressure, The shower had drainage issues on the first night/use and we were not able to take showers without the water pooling past our ankles. The floor mat is rubber, instead of cloth to absorb excess water. We showered less to avoid standing in dirty water. The bathroom sink is so small that you can't properly wash your face or even brush your teeth without accidentally missing the sink when spitting out toothpaste or rinsing. There were only older rough bath towels, no hand towels or wash cloths. There is only a washer, not a dryer and it had mold and gunk inside the soap dispenser. The cleanliness of the kitchen was not great but appliances worked. The toaster oven had old cobwebs stuck to the bottom and inside of it. There were no extra garbage bags and the garbage outside was overflowing and spilled onto the ground from previous visitors upon arrival. The Kitchen pans and knives are old and dull. If you plan on cooking, bring your own pans/knives, including a cutting board/baking sheet and oven mitts. The bed mattresses sink a little (I am 115lbs).

Wonderfully quaint charming Irish cottage. Cosy and warm we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely use again. Far enough away to feel in the open country but close enough to amenities and two lovely pubs in the village

We loved our stay here. Warm, comfy and charming thatched cottage. Great place to spend a few quite days. The property excelled our expectations. Credit to the owner for the care and though they spent in creating such a beautiful space♥️

Nice cottage in a quiet location but ideal for exploring the area

We loved our time in Dream Cottage. Warm and comfy. Beds were lovely and the host kindly found an additional camp bed for our extra person. Would recommend, unless you are a clean freak (see additional comments).

The cleaning just was not up to standard. Dirt around the edges of the floor, under the fridge and beds, in the cupboards. Mold in the cutlery drawer. This did not spoil our stay but it really detracted from the experience. Also would have been good to have empty cupboards in the bedrooms so we could unpack.

Cctv camera in bedroom is not appropriate and should be removed.

Could have used a small plastic seat in the shower-I’m 84 so usually sit under the shower!

l enjoyed the property and the relaxation and therapeutic time out it was a magnificent place to stay such a pleasure the property is comfortable cozy clean and enjoyable relaxable place to stay.

we found 6 slugs in the house in our 4 night stay. yuk!

Nothing really.

The bathroom was flooded. No milk or extras left. The hoover was left out and cubards were full of personal items. Cardboard boxes were left in the room and the place was cold, although there was a cute stove there were no actual logs left to use it. No shampoo or conditinor left either. Generally, it was not what I expected from Booking.com.

The location was very peaceful

Beautiful location with loads to do within driving distance, if peace and quite is what your after, dream cottage is a must, traditional cottage, with all the mod cons, very clean, loads of space to relax around the house.

No workman on roof

We had such a lovely stay here @ Dream Cottage, as soon as we walked in the door, we felt welcome. It is cosy, comfortable and clean, it's so full of charm we loved it. Our dog loved it too,We hope to come back very very soon.
