Reviewed Sep 2, 2026Highly recommended cottage in the Samia district, peaceful, tranquil surroundings, pine tree forest filled with berries and a lake all for yourself. Cottages are well placed with sparse woods between them, giving you privacy. Nice sauna, grill equipment on the porch, rowing boat, table-tennis and football court just a brief walk away. Juha was a lovely host and we would the most wonderful time with our 3 kids. We will remember this place with gratitude in our hearts.

Reviewed Aug 27, 2026De locatie aan het water is fantastisch. Je hebt wel de wagen nodig voor verplaatsingen maar dat is nu eenmaal Finland. Vriendelijk onthaal, propere accommodatie, goede voorzieningen, leuke plekken om buiten te zitten, eigen roeibootje, sauna... Er zijn verschillende huisjes maar je voelt je toch alleen op de wereld. Wij kregen er waarvoor we kwamen: rust, natuur, water.
Eigenlijk niks, maar om echt over details te zeuren: een afwasmachine is wel leuk en een infodocumentje apprecieer ik ook altijd zoals leuke activiteiten in de buurt, restaurants, winkels, tips om de sauna in gang te krijgen,... Je vindt alles natuurlijk zelf maar tips van locals zijn altijd tof.

Reviewed Aug 22, 2026У нас был самый маленький дом нр.2, но на двоих вполне нормально. В доме всё имеется , брали с собой только постельное бельё. Отличная баня, приватно можно сразу окунуться в озере. Тишина, спокойствие. Домики находятся в отдалении друг от друга, никто никого не беспокоит. На территории есть разные игровые вещи: батут, пинг понг, диски и тд. Удобная лодка для прогулок по озеру.

Die Anreise über die sehr kaputte Straße macht keinen Spaß, vor allem mit sportlichem Leihwagen.

Reviewed Aug 14, 2026Loved the quiet, the beautiful wood for burning in the sauna and all the outside fires. It is a peaceful place.
The cleaning requirements before leaving were the most demanding I’ve encountered in a rental property! Penalty of €75 if you don’t beat the rugs, vacuum and clean the toilet 🤷🏼♀️ Hardly any hiking opportunities, which is a shame for such wilderness.

Majoituimme mökissä nr 2 ja siellä häiritsi sisällä vipeltävät muurahaiset sekä varsin ummehtunut haju.

Reviewed Jul 9, 2026Wer Stille und Abgeschiedenheit mag ist hier goldrichtig. Haus mit Ruderboot direkt am See. Natur in der Umgebung ein Traum. Hier kommen Wildenten und Singschwäne mit ihren Jungen vorbei und man kann im Frühsommer beobachten, wie Seeschwalben Kormorane aus ihrem Revier vertreiben. Trotz aller Abgeschiedenheit WLAN und Internet kein Problem und unser Hüttenmanager Juha war superfreundlich und immer sehr hilfsbereit.
Die Hütte ist eine ganz normale finnische Sommerhütte mit zwei Schlafzimmern und einem Wohnraum mit Küchenzeile sowie einem Bad mit Sauna. Für € 1275.- für 10 Tage einfach zu teuer.

It was all perfect except the weather. Only recommendation would be maybe adding a shoehorn.

Beinahe perfekt! Ordentlich Messer wären sehr hilfreich 🤭.

Reviewed Jul 26, 2025Lovely location, lots of space at the cottage with all facilities including a/c, good sauna, really nice terrace for chilling or eat outside. Owner had boat engines, bikes, supboards and more for rent. The lake is very clear and full of fish. There were some mosquitoes and horseflies but not too many. The lake is quite shallow and there are big rocks at the bottom.
Everything was great, nothing to complain about!

Reviewed Jul 20, 2025Private beach, separate house in a silent location. The house was well equipped (gas grill, rowing boat, sufficient cutlery and crockery). and the hosts provided dishwasher tablets, cleaning equipment, firewood etc. Good beds and new pillows & duvets.
The sauna could do with an update. The benches and the wooden stairs are a bit wobbly and there are not enough stones on the sauna stove.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2024Perfect, simple cabin with a private pontoon on to the lake. Stunning lake views & the sauna was great. Good WiFi and also good phone signal despite being in the middle of a forest. Beds very comfy. We felt completely secluded & plenty far enough away from other cabins. I highly recommend this property. The hosts were lovely & friendly.

Perfectly located for visiting Savonlinna and the Olavinlinna castle, as well as the nearby nature reserves. When you are there, take the opportunity to visit the world’s biggest wooden church in Kerimäki.

The house itself is pure perfection: cozy, perfectly designed, equipped and decorated. Can't imagine a better place!
