Reviewed Aug 13, 2026We travel extensively all over the world, and yet this house will forever remain etched in our hearts as the most incredible place we have ever stayed.
The house is simply sublime, beautifully designed, and ultra-functional. And the view? Easily the most breathtaking of our lives , an absolute masterpiece overlooking the lake.
But what truly makes this place magical is its host, Rune. He is an amazingly kind person, a beautiful soul who shares so much, is always present, and responds instantly to everything!
The weather wasn't on our side for our first two days, but the sun finally came out on the very day of our departure. In an act of rare generosity, Rune spontaneously offered to let us stay as long as we wanted, with zero pressure for check-out!
A huge thank you, Rune, for your incredible warmth and hospitality. The Ballangen region is stunning, with unforgettable hiking trails all around.

Reviewed Aug 8, 2026Cudowne miejsce dla rodzin dziećmi. Łatwo dostępna prywatna plaża i zupełnie przezroczysta woda, płytko. Pływaliśmy cały dzień na supach. Dom zgodny z ofertą. W pełni wyposażony. Przytulnie i domowo. W wielu miejscach spaliśmy w Norwegii ale ta lokalizacja jest wyjątkowa. Bez problemu z tej lokalizacji można objechać Lofoty. Gorąco polarem !!!
Absolutely stunning location with breathtaking views. Super nice outdoor terrace. Everything was super clean and had this modern scandinavian feel about it.
Few things to note before you book:
- the biggest issue is with the floor to ceiling windows which are indeed lovely for the views but in its upper section can not be covered at all, resulting in light coming in during the night (bear in mind that during summer it never gets dark in this area and you can have sun almost 24/7); at least eye-blinds should be provided in such case;
- we had some problems with the door lock (could not be closed);
- the cabin had some kitchen products / food etc. (we assume left by previous guests) which is nice, however this seemed to be a bit chaotic with some of them over their expiry date etc.;
- we could not contact the host during our stay (to perhaps find any way around the above issues) - while we had a brief call prior our arrival (and the host was very nice and helpful) he did not reply to our calls, sms's during our stay.
The keys to the property were in a key box, the code to the key box was supplied by the host
At a glance, the one bedroom definition leads me to believe there is a room with a bed in it, this is not the case here. I slept on the sofa bed, which is not good for an old guy with a bad back. I could have climbed a wooden ladder to a crawl loft with a mattress, but again old guy and bad back, doesn’t work out too well.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026The location is great - quiet and in the nature and the views are sectacular. Check in is easy. The cabin is nicely decorated and comfortable but please mind that the bathroom is really small - still fully functional.
There is no WiFi in the cabin. The kitchen is small, dishwasher would be great but there's no room to fit it, I know. I had to do my bed sheets, I would expect it to be done for such price. I asked for an invoice but still didn't get it. The A/C needs checking as it didn't work well.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026Mycket trevlig värd. Välstädat. Känsla av gästvänlighet. Otroligt, makalöst vacker utsikt från husets altan och genom de stora fönstren.
Det fanns en närhet till landsvägen som vi undrade kring, men vi tyckte sedan inte att det var trafikstört som vi hade befarat.

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026Majoituspaikka on kauniissa maisemissa ja vaellus mahdollisuudet ovat hyvät lähellä majoitusta. Majoituksessa on tilaa isommillekin porukalle vaikka osa makuuhuoneista on pieniä.
Yhteydenpito majoittajaan ja vastausten saaminen kysymyksiin heikolla tasolla. Majoituspaikan yleisessä huoltamisessa parantamisen varaa, keittiövälineet todella heikossa kunnossa. Rahastamisen maku jäi.

Reviewed Jul 6, 2026Of course, we enjoyed most of all the view which is great even on a bad day, but stunning when the sky is blue. There is a clear view across the fjord towards majestic mountains. Everything else is secondary. The place was very clean. The space was enough for two of us, but would be cramped for a bigger group. The kitchen was well equipped. There is a lovely wide veranda. The bedding was comfortable, both the sofa bed and the mattresses in the loft space.
The curtains do not cover the whole of the windows, so the room was light right through the summer night.
The loft space, accessible via a steep ladder, was fine for us - even a bit fun - but it would not be suitable for young children, in my opinion.

Nettes kleines Haus - allerdings bei ganztägigem Sonnenschein im Juni heizt sich das Häuschen extrem auf - trotz Klimaanlage.
Für eine Nacht absolut super - für einen längeren Aufenthalt zu klein.

Reviewed Apr 15, 2026L'endroit est idyllique, le propriétaire est vraiment très professionnel et vous propose de l'aide pour organiser votre séjour. Le chalet est à proximité de bon spot de ski de randonnée, randonnée à pied et plein d'endroits magnifiques à découvrir.
Il y a tout le confort nécessaire.
Vi hanterade egen frukost.

Quizás por poner un pero demasiadas farolas por la noche 1ue no dejan ver bien el cielo y las posibles auroras

Spatiul pentru dormit de sus este intr-adevar prea ingust. A fost greu de asezat asternuturile, care erau nepregatite. Casa e mult mai mică decât pare. La cazare era o singură tigaie, și aceea defectă, se dezlipea plasticul de pe suprafață. Se specifică pardosea caldă, dar de facto se încalzesc doar 2 placi de teracota de la intrare, restul se bazeaza pe conditioner. Nu toate ferestrele au draperii. Alaturi este o cladire locuibila, deci eram ca in acvarium.

Das Raumangebot ist beschränkt, Schlafplätze sind eher unbequem. Kein Sonnenschutz montiert.
An den Fenstern fehlt ein Vogelschutz, somit sind in unserem kurzen Aufenthalt gleich mehrmals Vögel(verletzt, tot)gegen die Fenster geflogen.
Das ist sehr schade, da man ja eigentlich die Natur genießen möchte.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2025Außergewöhnliche Lage und Umgebung; für Naturliebhaber spitze (Elche, Seeadler, Prachttaucher, Schweinswale, ...)! Unser Gastgeber Rune war spitzenklasse, äußerst bemüht und hat uns unvergessliche Erlebnisse vermittelt (Bootstour mit Angeln, Wrack- und Leuchtturmbesichtigung und Seeadler-Fütterung mit Gunnar; Reittour mit Sissel; Standup-Paddling in der Bucht; Touren-Tipps; ...)
Fronttür zur Terrasse war leider nicht nutzbar (neue Tür ist aber bestellt); Backofen und Grill wurden von Vormietern nicht gereinigt hinterlassen; Jammern auf hohem Niveau... ;-)

Reviewed Aug 7, 2025Dieser Ort ist ja fast schon magisch. Eine kleine Halbinsel, die sich in den Fjord schmiegt und ringsherum schneebedeckte Berglandschaften (Mai). Ringsherum gibt es etwas zu entdecken und Natur zu bestaunen. An jedem Tag konnten wir teilweise über Stunden diverse Schweinswale bei ihren Erkundungen beobachten. Fischreiher, Gänse und Möwen boten uns in den Pausen ihr Show-Programm und am Abend huschten Schneehasen am Haus vorbei. Nicht weit vom Haus entfernt trafen wir auf 3 Elche! Wer also auf Natur steht, der ist hier genau richtig! Die E6 führt zwar fast am Haus vorbei, doch ist der Verkehr hier wirklich sehr überschaubar und man bemerkt ihn kaum.
Das Haus selbst ist mit allem ausgestattet, was es braucht. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und wären am liebsten für immer da geblieben.
Vielen Dank, dass wir hier zu Gast sein durften!

THE VIEW! Privacy, location, and THE VIEW!
Cleaning supplies in several clear plastic boxes were left in this small living area and bathroom and that took a little away from the overall experience. Only one towel for 2 people! Sheets and pillow cases were left so you could chose between the fold out (but very comfortable) bed on the main floor or the mattresses on the very low ceiling loft.

Beautiful scenery to wake up to
It's a spacious, cozy well equipped house in the most beautiful sorrounding. We loved every minure there. The host was very communcative and responded to our questions.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2023Everything is there in the house, the view is breathtaking, the beach is amazing and the host is super friendly and helpful. You can do great hiking and mountain biking in the area. Highly recommended to everyone! We will definitely come back again :)

Reviewed Oct 11, 2022views are incredible. the Fjords are unlike anything around. the private beach is awesome to go exploring on and sea seashells, etc. outside the city limits of anything near by.
No internet, which we knew about, but it has been really nice to have that. lighting is dim throughout the house.
