Wir waren 14 Tage als Familie (2 Erwachsene und 3 Teens) in diesem wunderschönen Haus! Die Lage ist wunderschön, ruhig, direkt am Wasser mit einer schönen Aussicht! Das Haus ist ausreichend groß, insgesamt 4 Schlafzimmer. Das Bad verfügt über eine Waschmaschine mit Trockner. In der Küche findet man alles was man braucht. Das Haus war sauber und sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir haben uns hier einfach unglaublich wohl gefühlt!!! Der Kontakt zu unseren Vermietern war einfach und sehr nett! ❤️ Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen! Wir können dieses Haus zu 100% weiterempfehlen!!! 🥰🥰🥰 Wir vermissen es jetzt schon! 🥹🥹🥹

The view was stunning. The cabin was cozy and you can tell the owner put a lot of effort in making this a very cozy cabin for their guests. Everything you need is provided, excellent and prompt communication from host. Lots of games to keep our kid entertained after a day of hiking and exploring.

Some of the bed mattresses were a little soft for our liking but that's a personal preference.

Das Haus hat superPlatz für eine grosse Gruppe. Großzügige Austattung, comfortabel. Ein erholsamer Schlaf ist auch essenriell: die Betten waren uns zu weich.

L'emplacement exceptionnel, avec une vue incroyable ! La maison était très confortable, avec tout ce dont nous avions besoin. Nos hôtes nous ont donné toutes les informations nécessaires et étaient disponibles pour répondre à nos questions. Très bonne localisation pour des balades à pied, un restaurant (quelques minutes à pied), un petit centre commercial avec supermarché, pharmacie et quelques magasins (15mn en voiture), et bien placé pour rayonner sur Reine, Å, Nusfjord, et différentes plages et lieux de randonnées.

What a beautiful cabin, well equipped and very comfortable. Very close to the start of a walk up to one of the peaks in Ballstad. Hosts were very helpful. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Es gab nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hätte!

Ongelofelijk mooie omgeving. Het uitzicht was prachtig. De rust en de stilte waren zalig. Er was een heel goed contact met de mensen van de accommodatie. Super vriendelijk, behulpzaam. De hygiëne was heel goed. Ik heb er enorm goed geslapen in de bedden. Ik kan deze accommodatie alleen maar aanraden.

Tout était incroyable! Le logement (propreté, équipements), la magnifique vue ainsi que la gentillesse des hôtes. Je recommande vivement.

Et fantastisk sted for avslapning! Hyta Balstade – et ekte fristed for ro, der naturens skjønnhet smelter sammen med en koselig atmosfære. Hytta er ren, komfortabel og har alt man trenger for et behagelig opphold. Vertene er spesielt hjelpsomme, vennlige og oppriktige mennesker, alltid klare til å hjelpe og sørge for at oppholdet blir perfekt. Anbefales på det varmeste til alle som søker kvalitet og en varm velkomst.

What can I say about Astrid and Trond? Their home is pure magic! ✨ It’s not just perfect — it’s beyond perfect. From the very first moment, it felt like stepping into a dream: modern, elegant, cozy, and filled with so much love and attention to detail. They’ve truly thought of everything. The house is beautifully organised and equipped with everything you could ever need — and then some! The thoughtful little touches made it unforgettable: delicious teas and morning drinks, soft robes, handwritten notes, candles, and so many small details that made it feel like a five-star hotel (but with the warmth and soul of a real home). They even prepared a lovely guidebook explaining how everything works — such a thoughtful gesture that made our stay completely effortless. And as if all that wasn’t magical enough… I got to see the Northern Lights dancing right from the garden! It was an absolutely breathtaking moment I’ll never forget. 💫 Staying at Astrid and Trond’s place felt like being home — peaceful, beautiful, and full of heart. They are truly wonderful hosts, and I’d recommend their place to everyone looking for a stay that feels both luxurious and deeply special. 💛

Prachtig huisje met alle faciliteiten die je nodig hebt, zoals bijvoorbeeld een wasmachine en droger. Mooi uitzicht, mooie korte en lange wandelroutes in de directe omgeving. Een klein restaurantje aan de overzijde van het water op circa 10 minuten lopen.

Nous avons passé 5 nuits à Ballstad et notre séjour a été parfait!! Cet endroit nous fait sentir comme à la maison. Il est très bien équipé et très confortable. Notre seul regret a été de partir😊

We absolutely adored staying in this stunning cabin - everything was perfect. The view is to die for, beds are comfortable, spacious bathroom, large kitchen with all amenities, furniture is well arranged and high quality. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating, always responded. Very highly recommended!

We loved everything. If there has to be something, I guess it is located a little out of the way and therefor not walking distance to shops, but we knew that when we booked. Just have to be prepared to drive everywhere all the time.

Asunto oli todella upea ja se sijaitsi uskomattoman kauniilla paikalla veden ja vuorien äärellä! Isolla terassilla oli ihana juoda aamukahvia maisemia ihaillen. Asunnon varustetaso oli erinomainen, esim. keittiöstä löytyi kaikki tarpeellinen kokkailuun ja pyykinpesu- ja astianpesukone olivat iso plussa. Kaikki oli moitteettoman puhdasta ja viihtyisää. Toisinaan oli hitusen turhan lämmintä, mutta zip screenit auttoivat kuumina päivinä. Asunnon läheltä löytyi hienoja patikointimahdollisuuksia läheiselle vuorelle. Majoittajat olivat todella ystävällisiä ja avuliaita ja reagoivat nopeasti. Kaiken kaikkiaan upea kokemus, jota suosittelen lämpimästi ja varaisin tämän uudelleen koska tahansa uudelleen!

Location and ammenites

I feel the type of bedrooms open needs to be clearer. I missed that a bedroom was the pull out sofa in the living room

Great location with beautiful views. Astrid and Trond were great communicators, checking in with us before arrival and making sure that everything was ready. Somehow the drive was even plowed and ready for us on a snowy day. Kitchen was well equipped and the living space was very cozy by the fire. Trond even made a special trip to refill our firewood. Can’t say enough about how’s great the place is. We will definitely return the next time we are in Lofoten.

A comfortable, clean and well-equipped cabin which was our perfect for our family stay. The fireplace was the icing on the cake.

Location and views are excellent. The owners of the property were very attentive and keen to get it right - only to be badly let down by an inept property management company.

The cooking hob is inoperable.

Wasn't wood to get the fire burning so 9 outta 10 Otherwise perfect

Staying in the house is really fantastic and the house is fully equipped. A high-quality finish has been chosen and that is really nice. Besides the fact that the location and the surroundings are very beautiful, the location is also strategically located for many trips.

- Good location for aurora hunting - Overall hygiene and cleanliness is good - Close to Leknes airport (15-20mins drive), central location to Reine and Svolaer - Good view and quiet place - Car park next to the accomadation - Clear information provided before arrival (e.g. keybox, address)

- A bit trouble to get to the accomdation during bad weather - Need to make the bed before sleep (bed linen provided) - Both washroom on the ground floor - Hot water supoly for shower is limited, especially large group - Platetopp could be overheat, and need to reset at the switchboard

Wow! What a beautiful location! We arrived to the property to find it warm and ready for our stay. While getting settled, the host even sent us an alert to look for the Aurora…which we saw two of our four nights…right from the back porch! The fire was cozy and played into the ambience, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen spacious and the house very clean. We spent many nights around the table playing games and enjoying the home.

The kitchen could use an update on the plates/bowls/cups…but certainly not a deal breaker. We didn’t enjoy having to make up the beds ourselves upon arrival, the basic sheets in a box near the door. The hot water heater was just large enough for 2 (maybe 3) hot showers (which wasn’t a problem for us to space out!), but something to think about with large groups. The largest issue we had was that the host stopped communicating with us the day after check-in. We had an issue with the stove top and had to turn off the stove at the breaker to ensure it didn’t become a safety hazard. It did not end up being a major issue, but it would have been nice had the owner addressed any of the 3 messages sent about it.
