Vriendelijk en schoon

The accommodation is located on a farm. The owner was very friendly. We hadn’t informed him what time we would arrive, so we called when we drove onto the farm. He answered quickly and came over to welcome us. The view from the farm is beautiful, and there are garden chairs available so you can sit outside and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We set our alarm early in the hope of seeing a moose. On the way back from Jutulhogget Canyon, we spotted one standing in a field. It was a wonderful experience and one of the highlights of our stay.

Our accommodation was located in one side of a converted barn. Our room was upstairs, accessible by a steep, open staircase that was almost like a ladder. This was a bit challenging for our dog, and it is something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues. There were other guests staying in the adjoining section, while the ground floor was empty during our stay. The route upstairs was a bit of a crawl-through and not the most convenient, but it added to the unique character of the place. During our stay, there was a power outage that lasted a few hours. As a result, we were unable to cook. This was of course not something the owner could control, but it is something to be aware of. He told us that power cuts happen in the area from time to time, although usually not for such a long period. We also couldn’t get the coffee machine to work, which was a little unfortunate. The bed looked nice, although the mattress was somewhat worn. There were two single duvets; we had brought a double duvet cover, which was therefore not very practical. The listing mentioned that it should be possible to charge an electric car, but the owner told us that his charging point was currently out of order. Luckily, we were able to charge our car at a museum about a 15-minute drive away. The space has a compact bathroom with a toilet and shower.

A really cozy, comfortable hut at a gorgeous farm. The cabin has absolutely everything one might need for short or long stay. The owner/manager is just lovely and super attentive. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Mattresses are really worn out, beware those with back problems!

Badezimmer fussbodenheizung

De accommodatie ligt naast deze familieboerderij. Eigenaar/verhuurder is de 7e generatie hier. Vriendelijke ontvangst en keuze uit appartement. We hadden geluk dat er geen andere huurders in de woning waren. Het lijkt ons namelijk nogal gehorig. Houten wandjes. De trap naar de eerste verdieping, waar het woon/slaapgedeelte is, is steil, maar goed te doen. Even uitkijken en leuning vasthouden. Ruim appartement wat leuk nostalgisch en authentiek is ingericht met speelse accenten. Zie foto's. Zo is er voor de ouders een bijna bedstee en voor de kinderen een aparte speelruimte/slaapgelegenheid op de verdieping via een trap in de kamer bereikbaar. Buiten is er ruim voldoende speelgelegenheid voor de kids. Trampoline e.d. Voldoende kookapparatuur en -gelegenheid. Als je houdt van het buitenleven en koeien, dan is dit de perfecte plek. 's-Morgens gewekt worden door de koeien is toch leuk.... Er is op de verdieping een leuk zitje gemaakt met uitzicht op het terrein maar ook omgeving. Zie de foto's. Ook is er buiten voldoende ruimte en meubilair om te zitten en te genieten van het uitzicht. Van hieruit hebben we een grote tocht gemaakt naar de natuurgebieden in Noorwegen of zoek naar Oerossen, Elanden e.d. helaas, vanwege de hitte (in 42 jaar nog nooit zo warm geweest) waren de dieren naar hoger gelegen bossen getrokken. Elanden later wel gezien en vastgelegd op camera.

Enige minpunt is de douche/wc ruimte. Die is voor ons absoluut te klein om fatsoenlijk te kunnen douchen.

Clean, cosy and warm. Very nice shower, always warm water and floorheating in the bathroom. When we needed something, the owner could help us at any time

We had a fabulous stay! The cabin had everything we needed and it's authenticity really enhanced our Norwegian experience. The host and their family were very kind, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The location offers access to a wonderful region and necessary amenities. Depending on the time of year, there are different things to do and see in the area so we will definitely visit again!

If it's snowy, consider coming in a 4x4 vehicle. We got this as a tip as well and it paid off, as the cabin is located on a hill :)

The perfect tiny house on a farm!

we had a room on second floor with a beautiful view on mountains. very clean, cosy, great atmosphere; feels like owners care about comfort of guests. close to nature - nice cows and chicken are literally neighbours

no people around (during our stay)
