Reviewed Sep 17, 2026Gemütliche Hütte, die sehr gut ausgestattet ist. Man konnte so kochen als wenn man zuhause wäre. Für 2-4 Personen ist ausreichend Platz. Das Auto parkt direkt vor der Tür. Von der Unterkunft kommt man schnell zu allen regionalen Wanderstrecken und im Winter zu Fuß zum Skigebiet. Es gibt im Ort ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Ca. 1 km Fußweg . Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und wohnen nebenan.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026Rita und Micke 🤩 Es wurde uns ein herzlicher Empfang bereitet. Die Lage und auch die einfache Erreichbarkeit des Nationalparks. Die Sauberkeit der Unterkunft und die Liebe für Ordnung und Details. Ich kann einen Aufenthalt dort wirklich nur empfehlen!

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Det var 4 gang vi boede i stugan og vi følte os hjemme. Der er både pænt og hyggeligt. Der er gode mulighed for gåture også selv om man ikke kan gå så langt. Vi er glade for at have vore bil for at kunne køre til forskellige steder at gå og til indkøb, men vi har også været der uden og taget bus eller tog. Det er også meget hyggeligt at møde vores værter, der bor i huset lige ved siden af stugan

Reviewed Jun 1, 2026Alles. Die Lage, das Personal, die Ausstattung... es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Im Gegenteil, wir hatten 3 mal einen Elch vor der Hütte, die war nicht zu übersehen, trotzdem hat uns die Gastgeberin per SMS drüber informiert, was wir sehr nett und aufmerksam finden.

Reviewed Mar 20, 2026Very nice modern standalone house. Comfortable shower, two separate bedrooms, sparkling clean. Minutes from a frozen lake with beautiful northern lights view. Keep in mind bed linens and towels are charged extra in cash.
You have to pay extra in cash for linen and towels. You pay for what you use, so we used only one of two bedrooms and only paid for one set.

Reviewed Jan 13, 2026L’appartamento era caldo, accogliente e fornito di tutto. Cucina perfettamente accessoriata con anche la lavastoviglie. L’appartamento è completamente nuovo, arredato con gusto. Proprietari gentili e disponibili, ci hanno aiutato a risolvere un problema con l’acqua immediatamente.
Il riscaldamento della sala/cucina con split, che per riscaldare adeguatamente con temperature esterne anche di -25° obbliga a tenere il getto di aria al massimo e alla lunga può dare fastidio.

Vi kände oss verkligen välkomna av värdarna och kommer definitivt boka igen nästa gång vi är i trakterna.

La gentillesse des proprios et le fait qu'ils sont tout près. Emplacement parfait pour accéder en train depuis Stockholm. Aller faire des promenades et du ski de randonnée. Voir des aurores.
La pollution lumineuse qui fait qu'on voit moins bien les aurores boréales. Nous avons marché un peu pour trouver un endroit avec moins de pollution lumineuse.

Reviewed Dec 6, 2025Tout était parfait. Nous sommes arrivés un peu tardivement dû à notre vol et cela n’a pas posé problème. Le logement est très cosy avec une jolie pièce de vie et deux chambres confortables. Nous y avons très bien dormi, la cuisine et la salle de bain sont très bien équipées et modernes. Le cadre est magnifique et notre hôte, que nous avons croisé le lendemain matin, a été très sympathique. Le meilleur logement à Abisko !

Beautifull short hike from the house along the river to a stone beach on the lake. Close enough to train station to walk.

We wisten dat er betaald moest worden voor linnengoed en handdoeken maar dit moest contant. Dit mocht gelukkig ook in euro's.

Reviewed Mar 1, 2025Comfortable cabin with all necessary amenities to make your stay comfortable. Cleanliness is top-notch and Micke and Rita stay on the premises, should you need anything. The views from all sides are breathtaking. If you're looking for the Northern Lights, just step outside the main door and take it all in! Five minutes away from 4 ski slopes and quick access to restaurants, the location is perfect. Best if you have a car to move around.
Cannot complain about anything.

Reviewed Jan 10, 2025This standalone spacious modern cottage looks newly renovated & is very well-maintained with 2 bedrooms and comfortable beds. Well-located in Bjorkliden with pleasant views and very near to Abisko National Park. Very cozy & immaculately clean cottage amidst peaceful & picturesque surroundings that makes us feel like home. Big comfy sofa & TV (with Netflix) in the spacious living room for relaxation. Very nice & big bathroom (heated flooring) and well-equipped kitchen with an impressive variety of interesting spices. We park car directly in front of the cabin door for easy loading & unloading of luggages. Host is very thoughtful & has included several items in the cottage eg indoor slippers & turned on the indoor heating before we checked in to make us feel warm & welcome. Cottage exceeded our expectations & everyone in the family loves it. Nearest supermarket with a wider variety of groceries items is located at ICA Nära Riksgränsen. We also managed to catch beautiful northern lights (shades of green and red) in Bjorkliden & Abisko National Park during our 2 nights' stay. We will definitely return for a different season & stay here again!
If the apartment offers a washing machine, it would be perfect & ideal for a longer stay. Other than that, everything else is perfect.

Reviewed Sep 23, 2024The accommodation is situated on a plateau, offering views of Lake Tornetrask and Lapporten from inside the house. Silverfallet is just a short distance away, and there are nearby trails leading to the Abisko Visitor Center and Aurora Sky Station. The scenery along the way is beautiful, serene, and undisturbed. The host, Micke, is very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday here.

The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The owners, Rita and Micke, live nearby and are very friendly and discreet. Reviewed Mar 17, 2024This is accommodation exceeded our expectations. We had such a great relaxing 4 day stay here and even got to see the northern lights one night. The stuga has everything you might need and is even more spacious and beautiful than in the pictures. Everything was super clean. The surrounding area is perfect for winter walks and the views are incredible. We highly recommend this place and hope we can come back one day!

Reviewed Feb 25, 2024The cottage is in a quiet location, is easily accessible and has a beautiful view of nature. The house is very clean and comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The bathroom offers a very hot shower. There is parking directly beside the house.
The motor of the air conditioner is attached to the wooden wall of the cottage so there was a very annoying and continuous noise in the house. The cost to rent linens and towels of 15 euros per person is really excessive (also considering the fact that we had to do it ourselves) and that the cost was only communicated after booking

Reviewed Feb 14, 2024I would recommend this house to everyone, it is large and clean, with all the kitchen utensils, it will definitely be your best choice in Bjorkliden. I would like to especially thank Micke and Rita for their help, when I left, the bus that replaced the train never came, I had to call them for help, Micke took us directly to the abisko train station and caught the train, thank them so much!

I have been in Abisko area already 7 times and I will try to stay once again in Björkliden in my next time, and hopefully for longer. Micke and Rita were wind enough to be alert with us, since it was snowing a lot and there was some convoy timing to continue to Narvik.

Would have maybe liked a code or key box for door as we show up late often to our accommodations and don’t want to disturb hosts and also so we can come as we please with no timeline.

The place has everything you need (e.g., kitchen utensils, microwave, oven, toaster, refrigerator, dish washer) except washer/drier; Make sure to bring your own shower supplies; Mattresses are very firm and you have to sleep in the middle to prevent sliding to the sides; Bedsheets/towels will cost 15 Euros per set (30 Euros for 2 people), which can be paid by cash or PayPal; The nearest grocery store is 5 miles away. Rental cars are a must when staying here to explore this area.

There is a linen rental fee to be aware of. This is paid outside of the rate on booking.com and is 15 euros per guest (cash). Even with the unexpected linen fee, the place is still definitely worth it!

The hosts are superfriendly and even bought us something from the supermarket as Björkliden is a small place only with a small grocery store inside the hotel. Thank you very much for everything.
