Lovely and homely, fully equipped with everything needed and close to the beautiful village of Cong

A lovely self contained lodge with beatiful views of the countryside. Everything was there to self cater, the lodge was spotless and it was tastefully decorated and very spacious. The owner goes out of her way to make the stay one to remember, just the little things that many others just dont do. When you arrive there are lots of goodies waiting for you, milk, bread, eggs, bacon and home made bread and brownies. . There was also fruit/ganola in the fridge. A real country experience greeted by a very warm and friendly host. I would highly recommend. Thankyou Diedrie for the wonderful stay.

Friendly host, property in excellent condition. Parking available. Lovely comfy bedroom, and cot provided for our daughter which was great. Great kitchen with some supplies (including milk, coffee, cereal & eggs) which was really helpful. Good location to explore the region by car. Would recommend!

Nothing significant - Shower knob to control temperature can get stuck & difficult to turn. I wasn't sure if there would be a second bedroom for our daughter, but it was no problem she slept in our room with the cot.

Lodge very comfortable. Deirdre gave us a warm welcome and left lovely brownies, brownies bread and breakfast for us

Cong Getaway Lodge was in a lovely location. The host Deirdre was so welcoming. Everything you needed was there. We will definitely be back again.

Amazing location with beautiful views from the property. We loved the extras the host provided (the homemade bread and brownies were delicious). It all the amenities that we normally find lacking at other rentals.

Excellent, modern and beautifully furnished property that we were very comfortable in. Every thing you might need has been thought of. We were also left plenty of supplies that we were very grateful for. Really appreciated the washing machine too. Easy to find, plenty of parking on the property. Only 10mins to Cong for supplies, coffee shops etc.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Deirdre's accommodation near Cong Village, and we can confidently say it was one of the best experiences we've ever had! The location is perfect—just a short distance from the charming village of Cong, allowing easy access to its beautiful sights. Deirdre, the host, truly goes above and beyond. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. The facilities are outstanding; the cleanliness and comfort are top-notch. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring. One of the highlights of my stay was the amazing home-cooked brownies and Guinness bread that Deirdre provided. Both were delicious and showcased her talent in the kitchen. I cannot recommend Deirdre's place highly enough. With exceptional hospitality, top-tier facilities, and delightful treats, it truly deserves a 10-star rating. I can’t wait to return!

Very comfortable , beautifully furnished property with everything necessary for a great weekend stay. Would love to have stayed longer and intend to return. Loved the extras -lovely homemade brown bread and scones, jam ,rashers , eggs and everything we needed for a great brunch.

The property was very clean, spacious and modern. All kitchen facilities provided.The host was lovely and had left fresh brown bread, milk and brownies. Less than five minute drive into cong. We would definitely return again!

Half 10 check out was very early.

Nothing, it was excellent. A tip- Book taxis in advance if you’re staying for nearby events as they’re quite hard to get due to the rurality, the hosts provided us with some local numbers.

Beautifully appointed- feeling of luxury. Lovely location in rural setting but not far from Cong and Ballinrobe. Hosts were very helpful and even provided some supplies of food including bacon, sausage and eggs which was unexpected. Two lovely bedrooms with en-suites. Recently built and all modern appliances. Felt very relaxed here and wish we could have had a longer stay. Would definitely recommend and nice to revisit at some point.

You just need a little caution in kitchen as the sink area is recessed into sloping roof and opportunity to bang your head is available if not thinking!

This was a fab property… immaculately clean and hosts were so accommodating…. We also found homemade brown bread bacon and eggs in the fridge!! I have nothing bad to say really! We booked it for our in laws who were minding our daughter while we were up at a wedding in Ashford.,,. Could t have been happier. Highly recommend!

What a fabulous place to stay in such a beautiful area. The unit was exceptional, very comfortable and so well appointed.

Super friendly hosts. Fresh bread on arrival. Eggs and rashers in the refrigerator for breakfast. Good location just 5-10 minute drive from Cong and Ashford castle. New, modern detached house with three bedrooms and three baths. Near fully stocked kitchen.

Only gripe is that both bed mattresses in the upper floor bedrooms sagged. Otherwise an awesome place to stay.

The freshly made brownies and home cooked bread, the flower arrangement from the garden. The lovely genuine welcome and chat which is always a typically Irish rural welcome.

The host was extremely helpful and facilitating. Leaving us some baked goods and other food on arrival. The accommodation is ideal for a stay tranquil and in a great location. I really recommend Cong for a visit and a stay in the Getaway Lodge. We will be back 😀

Perfect accommodation the decor was amazing and excellent quality . Great space with everything you could need and the host provided homemade brownies and wheaten bread which was a lovely wee treat. The family dog sheba was very friendly and made our stay extra special

Oh my goodness where to start! Deirdre was the most wonderful host. There was freshly baked Irish bread and lemon drizzle cake when we arrived as well as Irish bacon and eggs and milk in the fridge. Later in the stay she baked brownies for us too. The lodge was decorated like a boutique hotel! Gorgeous comfortable rooms all with ensuite luxury bathrooms. The location was stunning with beautiful views and Sheba the dog was brilliant company for the kids who loved throwing sticks for her. We wouldn't stay anywhere else now that we have discovered this place x
