The furniture was not very comfortable. The bed in the master bedroom had a very worn mattress, the living room furniture is hard and uncomfortable. The kitchen items were very worn, pans scratched, silverware dull.

Communication was excellent before our arrival and Catherine was there waiting for us when we arrived with little added extras of milk, bread and eggs. House is warm, cosy and has everything you need. We will be staying again.

There was lots of lovely supplies when we arrived which we didn’t not expect but very much appreciated. The host was incredibly responsive and provided early check-in which was brilliant. Highly recommended! It was a very short walk to Lough Rynn hotel where we attended a wedding.

Reviewed Jul 20, 2025We stayed for one night to attend a wedding at the castle nearby. Self check in with lock box is very handy. Very clean, very comfortable, great proximity to lough rynn castle, 5 minute walk. Nice quiet area at night time, very nice for the host to have left milk eggs and bread for us. Other amenities in the kitchen too such as coffee, tea bags, baby chair etc.
The WiFi wouldn’t connect which is a shame as our signal was poor but we weren’t in the house for long so it didn’t matter

Only fault I have was the wifi thankfully didn't need it, but if I did the password provided didn't work and the Internet service provider number that came up on my phone was different to that noted in the property, difference of a digit. Password came up as invalid.

We stayed 1 night arriving late from South West Ireland & leaving early next morning for a family event so the bonus of the hosts providing unexpected food was very welcome.
the house was very cold during the night but the outdoor temperatures were freezing that night

Direct access to Lough Rynn hotel via the “gate” was not available & therefore not as close to hotel as we originally thought.
