Artist and Flower Pension

I absolutely loved everything about my stay! The house was beautiful and full of charm, the garden was gorgeous, and of course, the dog was such a lovely bonus. 🐶 But what truly made my experience special was the host. He was absolutely amazing ,so warm, welcoming, accommodating and helpful throughout my stay. He genuinely went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The whole experience felt peaceful, relaxing and very personal, and it made my time in Namhae even more memorable. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Namhae. A beautiful home, a wonderful host and a truly special experience!.

Stunning views, close to beautiful beaches and tourist attractions, very friendly host. We loved our stay.

We stayed at this pension for two nights, and honestly, it was the best stay of our entire trip. The pension is located in Nam-myeon, in the southern part of Namhae, and is very close to Darangi Village (about 10 minutes by car). The property is beautifully situated on top of a hill, with plenty of parking space. There is also a CU convenience store just 300 metres away, which is very convenient for picking up groceries. The property itself is lovely, with a beautiful garden overlooking the sea and tasteful decorations throughout. Our room was private, spacious, and very clean, with everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen. What really made our stay special was the hospitality of our host. He greeted us personally when we arrived and used a phone translation app to communicate with us and give us recommendations for places to visit in the area. At the end of our stay, he even gave us a wonderful souvenir: a wooden cutting board with our photo printed on it. We were absolutely delighted and happily brought it home with us! We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy the peace and beauty of nature in South Korea. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Namhae!

Die Gastgeber waren super lieb, die Aussicht am Morgen von der Terrasse aus ein Traum. Sehr empfehlenswert. Man kann auch künstlerische Workshops machen, aber wir hatten leider nicht viel Zeit.

The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay with two kids. The owner was so nice and helpful! It was the best place we’ve visited during our road trip in Korea (and we visited many great places)!

Clean, beautiful, amazing view

The room is big and comfortable. The pension itself is beautiful, filled with art and lots of flowers around in the spring time. The host is very welcoming and helped me make a plan for what to see and do in the area. He also gave a self-made gift to commemorate my stay in Namhae. I had a lovely stay at the Artist and Flower Pension and I would definitely visit again.

Our stay at this pension was wonderful! The house is cozy and was very clean. The view from the balcony is beautiful overlooking the sea from above. The house is also beautifully decorated by the host with great taste. On arrival we were welcomed by the host making our experience even better. Definitely a lovely and quiet place I would visit again when visiting South Korea! Greatly recommended!

Very calm place. The owner is super friendly, helpful and gave us nice handmade gift. Kitchen is well equipped. There is good floor heating (our stay was in late March). Convenience store is just few minutes walking.

The place was comfortable and cozy. The view and neighborhood were lovely. The host was extremely accommodating and friendly.

It was really clean and nice, the location is also super convenient a CU is 5 minutes away. Also a special thanks to the owners, they were super kind and accommodating and helpful. I was going alone with Bus to Namhae from Seoul and i didn’t rent a car, and they offered me to take me with car to the famous spots. Amazing people and an amazing place! Can only recommend!

사장님이 친절하시고 아기자기 손수 꾸며져 있어서 동화속에 주인공 같았어요.

샴푸가 거이 떨어져 펌프해서 안나와서 바디로 머리감았어요. ㅠ

온통 풀빌라 정보 밖에 없던 남해숙박지 정보속에서 찾아낸 보물같은 곳이예요. 화가이신 안주인과 취미로 목공예를 하시는 바깥쥔장이 직접 꾸민 곳이라, 하나 하나 정성이 가득한 곳이란 그 느낌이 너무나 좋았어요. 안으로 쏙 들어온 엥강만 산기슭에 위치해서 바닷가지만 조용하고 온화한 동네에 있어요. 내가 찾고 있던 바로 그런 곳이었습니다. 각각 독립된 공간이어서 좋았고 가우라와 로즈마리가 핀 발코니에서 아침 일출을 맞이했어요. 앞 뒤 창문을 열면 남해바다가 보이고, 마늘과 시금치를 심어놓은 밭이 보여요. 높은 건물 없어서 눈이 힐링되요. 기후는 12월인데도 따뜻했어요. 방도 난방이 잘되서 바닥에서 등지지고 왔어요 ㅋ, 조식은 따로 없었지만, 근처 씨유에서 이것 저것 사와서 훌륭한 브런치를 할 수 있었어요. 그림과 귀여운 소품들이 많아서 구경하는 재미가 쏠쏠했고, 조용하고 편하게 쉬다가 왔어요. 쥔장 부부 너무 친절하시구요. 정말 한달 정도 쉬다가 오고픈 곳입니다.

샤워실 물이 잘 안빠져서 남편이 고쳤어요. 식탁의자가 오래 앉아있기에는 불편했어요. 등받이 있는 의자가 있으면 더 좋을것 같아요.

Great place about 10 minutes away from the sea and fantastic view from the terrace. It is superb to have breakfast or dinner outside with a view of mountains and the sea. Village has got everything needed, including a shop and very quiet. If you’re stopping for one night on the way to the South, it is just ideal.

It was our favourite place in Korea! The most lovely host who went out of his way to help us, give us recommendations and made us a little present when we left. The room was super comfy, the bed was perfect and the heating kept us warm during a really cold couple of days! The area is incredibly beautiful and worth visiting, we had a car so it was easy to explore, not sure how much you can see with buses!

Host was very accommodating and helpful with our needs

We were not used to KR floor sleeping arrangements . The futons were only doubled up comforters and not real futons . Also the 2nd bathroom hot water system in shower does not work and the water was either hot OR cold . It’s really not usable

Très bon accueil à l’arrivée, et accompagnement à la voiture au départ (pourtant matinal). Grande chambre, très propre, très joliment décorée. Tous matériels en bon fonctionnement et simples d’usage. Joli jardin, dont je n’ai néanmoins guère pu profiter (la nuit tôt fin octobre). Garage aisé.

You get a whole bungalow style tiny house in a very beautiful pension. The stay was exceptional - from the views, the hospitality to the cleanliness - this was my best stay in Korea so far. I even got a personalized souvenir from the host. Incredible!

The pension is run by a lovely couple who also live there. They rent some units in their garden and I stayed in one of them. The view is stunning and there's a big CU convenience store 5 minutes walk from there. The unit is spacious and nicely designed, very pleasant vibes. It has a fully equipped kitchen so you can fix yourself a meal there. The couple is very friendly and chill. They came to pick me up from the bus terminal at Namhae town and brought me back there upon leaving for third the price of a taxi. They also gave me a personalized present which was a really nice surprise. The easiest way to get to the island and travel around is with your own car, but if you don't have one (like me), you can get to town with an intercity bus. Getting around the island is trickier. You can either walk if the weather permits, take a taxi, or use the local bus transport system which goes pretty much everywhere but is not very frequent so plan ahead with the NAVER app. Last thing: be kind to the island's cats. There are many of them who would be grateful to get some food. The CU store nearby has excellent cat food cans for very low prices.

We stay for only one night. The bed was comfortable, you get bathroom supplies, if you need. I'd like to get some coffee of tea, but the price was low, so no complains.

A pleasant and quiet place to spend a few days. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The room and kitchen are equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. I highly recommend it.

Our hosts (and their very friendly dog, Choco) were extremely welcoming and eager to share their knowledge of the island without being overbearing. We loved the amount of care and detail that was put into the little cabins. Although this place is not located right on the beach, the views from the deck were amazing! The community in this part of the island was also very warm and welcoming. Make sure you try the abalone porridge at the local restaurant within walking distance from the pension. It's delicious and comforting! As a bonus - if you stay at least two nights, the host will make you a personalized cutting board! If we ever find ourselves in this area again, we would definitely come back!

Nothing! But, someone that doesn't speak Korean would have to be willing to be patient and use translator apps, which the host was quite fluent with. The bathroom had a bit of a funky smell, which could be remedied by closing the door.

The owners of the property are salt of the earth, they welcomed my Wife and Daughter and myself with full hearts, from the moment we arrived till departure they were very accomodating and did their upmost to help. There is a delicious seafood restaurant nearby the property. Stocked Kitchenette in the room. Rooms have A/C, Cable TV, super clean and comfortable. Can’t wait to stay again

Host was incredibly kind. He and his wife met us when we wanted to check in. We came without a car (not recommended!) and because it wasn't busy he offered to drive us around for a very reasonable price. The room was clean, cute and very comfortable. Such lovely design and very friendly! Highly recommend.

Namhae was the best part of our South Korea trip. The host made a lasting impression as he was incredibly friendly and generous and as we didn't have a car and there are a lack of taxis in Namhae he drove us around and essentially guided us during the whole trip. It was truly an unforgettable time at Artist and Flower pension. The dog "Choco" is also the best!

The owner was so kind and a great help in finding us a restaurant. He was very engaging and willing to use translator on his phone to communicate with us. Our parting gift was amazing and we enjoyed our short stay on Namhae.

Everything about that place was amazing! The carring hosts, the apartment, the bed, huge window with a breathtaking view, the craft all around the yard, the doggo, the cat.. ❤️ Honestly, my favourite place in the whole South Korea.

Very kind and helpful host who waited outside for us when we arrived at night, ensured we had everything we needed, and even showed us around his wood workshop! The house is tastefully furnished with artwork, comfortable and warm.

Loved everything about our stay. The cute dog and kitten were a nice bonus but the best part was the incredible host.

The property was unique in that it was decorated with the paintings of owner's artist wife as well as woodworks made by the owner. The owner was friendly and helpful.

The personal welcome, the atmosphere is lovely. Nice details and artwork and the place really feels like a pension of how you hope it to be. Clean and cozy. I can highly recommend this one.

Nice water view from our front deck which had a picnic table, perfect for meals. Cute and funky, the owner was very friendly and even gave us a painting.

All good, but not for the mobility impaired. Hard to find because hps didn't recognize the name, address or phone number.

Absolutely kind and friendly hosts :) They greeted us when we arrived, showed us how to work the remotes in our room (heat, hot water etc.), gave us recommendations on places to go, and even made us delicious jeons (Korean pancakes :)). The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We've only booked one night and wish we could have stayed a bit longer! Highly recommend staying here for a few nights!!!

The owners were incredible friendly and welcoming. We wanted to have a barbecue but it was very cold so the host graciously set up a barbecue for us in his workshop. The room was spacious and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The location is great to allow you to explore the island. You can also watch a beautiful sunrise from your room or outside in the parking lot. Overall great value for money!
