Extraordinary 15th Century timber framed cottage in famous Medieval village - The Tryst

Beautiful mediaeval cottage with an Aga in the well appointed kitchen and a log burner in the sitting room. Oak beams throughout and well furnished which added to its charm. Lovely garden with a nice sitting area. Great location in Lavenham.

The steps and stairs and low beamed ceilings throughout may be difficult for some people. The noise carries from the downstairs area to the bedrooms. There was no shower attachment on the bath. The Aga is on constantly which made the kitchen very warm - lovely in the winter but too hot in the summer when it would have to be switched off. This would limit what you could cook. There is a microwave and an electric hob.

The property is magnificent. Beautifully and tastefully decorated in keeping with its age. The size was ample and it was very comfortable.

Just one small point I noticed the kettle needs descaling.

Beautifully presented, great location, such an atmospheric place to stay. Check in and check out so convenient and easy. Great visitors information book in the property. Would definitely come back.

The location of the property was perfect a stunning place to stay to enjoy the town of Lavenham. Comfortable and cosy with great facilities.

Amazing grade 1 listed building.. Extraordinary and unique place to stay. Original wooden floors and doors and beams. Wood burner, superb kitchen with everything that you will require.. There was no bed linen on the downstairs bed.. The property was not very clean. There were no instructions for how to use the cooker, and the cooker was not working when we arrived. There is only one shower.
