It was very clean and comfortable and very well equipped.

The traffic was a bit loud at night if the bedroom window was open,but the location was great .

The back door, needs a shave! Didn't open very well, think the woods swelled! as we took our dog, needed to open.

Perfect little cottage, well presented and very welcoming. Lovely walk to the beach, everybody was so friendly. Easy access to Lyme Regis, Bridport, and even Sidmouth. The cottage had everything we needed. Loved it!!

We were grateful for the warmer weather as the heating was set quite low, and we couldn't turn it up.

Beautiful little cottage close to lots of walks and Lyme Regis. Bed was super comfy, the place was spotless and had wonderful character. Would definitely recommend!

Very well equipped cottage that’s perfect for a home away from home. Kitchen very well stocked with everything you need. Jane was extremely friendly and gave us some great tips on the area. All in all, a fantastic week spent at Gingerbread Cottage.

Quite expensive.

We had a lovely stay in Gingerbread cottage with our dog recently. The cottage is delightful, really spacious, lovely bedroom with the most comfortable bed, great bathroom, cosy lounge to relax in after a long day walking and exceptionally well equipped kitchen. Private garden / space to sit outside too, and very relaxing and peaceful despite being fairly close to the main road - we didn't really notice any traffic noise at all. It was great having our own parking space too. Our host Jane was lovely, gave us lots of local info and suggestions for places to visit (as well as local biscuits - many thanks, they were delicious). Very attentive without being too attentive, one of our nicest hosts ever I think. We really recommend The Anchor pub at Seatown beach, great food and views. The beach there is great too (though doesn't take dogs this time of year). It's a great place for a morning swim and to take breakfast to eat though. Overall a great base for our SWCP walking.

This cottage has everything you could possibly need for a short holiday or week's stay. Fully equipped kitchen, the washing machine was a god-send and with a Spar down the road, you could easily pick up anything you might have left behind. Little outside courtyard and separate garden were useful areas. Lovely hot water, plenty of linen and towels, wifi, internet TV and the welcome milk, biscuits and tea/coffee/sugar was gratefully received. You can walk to a couple of nice pubs nearby and Seatown is just glorious for beach fun, hill climbs or fossilling. The owner is close by for any emergencies (and is so lovely). Thank you for a lovely stay!

I'm sorry to say the beds and the sofas. Both myself and my partner suffered back pain as the main bed was soft and the mattress rolled us to the middle. The lounge sofas are small and don't offer much support with flat cushions.

Clean, comfortable ,handy for local pub and stores and off street parking

Too many stairs , water pressure up stairs was poor and no clothes hooks in the bathrooms

It was lovely and cosy. Very clean and the host was very helpful indeed. Lovely new kitchen and an area for our dog in the back garden .

Nice comfortable cottage in walking distance of three pubs and the beach

The front door kept sticking, and on one occasion couldn’t be opened from inside.

The location was very convenient for exploring the coast.

The cottage is very cute. It’s comfortable, clean and cosy.

Not a major issue but we had to be careful going out the front door straight onto the street with our puppy

The cottage was very clean, welcoming and homely. Very well placed for beach and walking.

At the beginning of our stay the weather was hot and we kept the windows open at night which was a mistake as the main road was close by and busy with lorries!

Excellent location for local pubs, and lovely walk to the beach. Beautiful view of the church.

Noise from the busy A35, obviously no one's fault.

Beautiful little cottage, spotlessly clean.

Perfect position and very good thoroughly equipped cottage. The beds and living area were very comfortable and a lot of thought had gone into the little added touches.

The garden is very small but it is as per listed details.

Everything to be honest.... lovely cute cottage. So we'll equipped.... close enough to everywhere but far enough to feel in middle of nowhere!!! We were invited to watch the Bell ringers!! Pub literally across the road.... friendly and welcoming...

2 teeny things.... advertised bbq but wasn't one and we took food for it.... didn't matter had a grill lol!! Church bells..literally out of main room window bong all night.... i found it funny I don't sleep well anyway but may bother some

Fabulous little cottage with all amenities. Easy location for some nice day trips.

We had to wash all cutlery and crockery before using as had been left dirty by previous guests. No big deal. Abandoned oven as was same. We had issues getting into place as Booking.com gave us wrong key code but eventually resolved after speaking to neighbour.

Fabulous location and the property was perfect for this trip. A very spacious kitchen for the size of the property.

Gingerbread cottage was very well equipped, comfy and clean. We took our dog, reggie and the surrounding area is excellent for dog walking. We didn’t use the car all weekend. Definitely will go back.

The only thing we had to be careful of with the dog, was the front door opened straight onto a road.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable cottage.

Lovely cosy cottage with lots of character

It was quirky. Well supplied with crockery etc. Near pubs/restaurants and not far from other towns and attractions

The settee was not very comfortable- sad flat seating. Wish the heating had come on some evenings downstairs or given information on how it worked

Very quaint with character. Sitting room was comfortable and courtyard lovely. We loved the walk down to Seatown and being near the George and Clock.
