Berton Place

Amazing! The hosts are awesome, so helpful. Great place to relax, fruits all over the garden, close to anywhere you want to go - you need a scooter to go around the island, which can be rented from them directly. Beds are comfy, bathroom clean, daily cleaning service.. Pick up and drop off at the airport. Totally recommend this place. I’ll be back for sure. Thanks for everything guys!!

Free massage service and unicorns in the garden

Tudo perfeito!

Everything was perfect. Cidris and all his family were very nice to me and make me feel at home, which is not something common while you're travelling. And King got my heart ! I wish all the best to this beautiful family and go to Berton place, you won't regret it!

Nothing, everything was perfect

I had a room in the small back building with a separate entrance. Cute crabs and lizards were always scurrying around in front of my little house at night. It's very quiet here, which unfortunately isn't the case everywhere on the island. Some obnoxious neighbor usually has their music blasting at an unbearable volume. The whole family is incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is also fantastic. You can reach all the important places on the island in 5 minutes by motorbike.

The family on the property was so nice to us. They made us feel so comfortable and gave us so many recommendations. They provided large water barrels to save us money and even brought us sunscreen when we ran out. I would absolutely recommend this to any group of families or friends. The backyard area is lovely! When we were not at the beach, we were hanging in the hammocks. And the fruit on the property was delicious!

Really lovely place to stay - hammocks and shared terrace were great. Cidris was fantastic - super helpful and welcoming - having fruits from the garden and homemade bread was a great treat as well! I would highly recommend!

On a adoré séjourner à Berton place.

The people, the facilities! All up to standards.

Exceptional host, friendly, welcoming, helpful.

Good Vibes all day

Berton Palace gave us the best guesthouse experience. It truly felt like home because of Hortenzia, Cidrius, and King. The room was spacious and very clean, and the toilet and shower were extremely comfortable compared to other places we’ve stayed. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we stayed for six nights. We were very comfortable and often cooked and ate in our room once a day. Just bring earplugs or AirPods, because sometimes motorbike noise at night can be a little disturbing. I can’t say enough about Cidrius — he was incredibly helpful. He took us on a boat trip and showed us the islands around Providencia. We also rented a motorbike from them, which was very convenient and comfortable. And of course, we enjoyed the kindest and friendliest dog on earth, King, who truly made our stay even more special. We will definitely go back because of their kindness and availability. Highly recommended!

Alles was echt heel fijn!

Niets!

We visited with our family with 3 kids. We had a house with 3 bedrooms and two toilets. It had a yard also so it was very comfortable and private. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The hosts are amazing and welcoming! They brought us coconuts and papaya from their yard. There are rescue turtles in their yard, a friendly dog and many many lizards ! Also saw some iguanas. Very nice place and people.

-

This posada was very well maintained by the Berton family, cleaning provided everyday was exemplary and the helpfulness of the family themselves was most appreciated including some fantastic breakfast snacks! The room was comfy with working AC, fan and electrics for a great value price wise!

Nothing, perfect stay

Amazing Family Place Service (birthday cake!, scooter rental, hiking) My best value stay in 3 months in colombia

I had an amazing stay at Berton Place on Providencia. The family was incredibly welcoming and attentive to all my needs, making me feel completely at home. I was even invited to a family dinner during the holiday season, which was such a heartwarming experience. Their kindness and hospitality truly made my stay unforgettable. I highly recommend staying here – it’s a perfect place to feel cared for and connected.

-

Amazing place! Surrounded by banana trees in a beautiful fruit tree garden! The owner and her son are super helpful and always there to answer your question! Quit area! Cleaning the room every day with fresh towels and bed sheets. She shares the garden fruits when they are ripe!! And King the dog is just adorable! stayed there for 7 days and it was perfect!

Nothing! Perfect spot!

I had a wonderful time staying in Berton's place. My comfortable stay begun before I even arriving in Providence - I encountered an issue with my flight reservation and I had to change my booking at the last minute. My hosts were super accomodating and helpful, they immediately changed my reservation and told me I can check in as soon as I arrive. It is a family run business and it really feels like it. The houses have a beautiful garden, filled with majestic lizards. You really feel one with the wilderness. The room was clean, the bed super comfortable, and every day they offered a cleaning service. The hosts are so sweet, and friendly and made me feel right at home as soon as I arrived. They told me that the only thing I need to do in Providence is to be free and I thought that was the most beautiful recommendation I have ever received :)

Really nothing, I had a beautiful, carefree time.

Nimrod and his family really made me feel at home. It was a Joy to wake up there, and to come back at the end of the day, knowing that I was going to be around such great people. A few times they brought me papayas that are growing on their property and it was the best papaya I’ve ever had. They also have great motorbikes for rent, they’re not all beat up like other ones on the island. Great kitchen set up, made breakfast most mornings. There’s so much more I could write, sitting on the deck, looking out at the ocean and hearing Nimrod tell me about the history of the island was a special moment for me, and so many others. Just a fantastic place.

Nothing. At first, I thought the location wasn’t that great, but then I realized it’s an extremely peaceful spot on the island and you need a moped to get around everywhere anyways. However, if it’s important to you to be able to walk to one of the popular beach’s, this isn’t the place for that.

I could not say enough good about this place. The apartments are very nice, with a great porch out front facing the ocean and the sunset. You can rent a scooter on site for a very reasonable price, and the scooters are in top condition. Nimrod, Hortencia, and Sidris treated us like friends and were very helpful with setting up any activities we wanted to do. They can also take you for the peak hike, snorkeling, boat tours, fishing, and probably much more for fair prices. They gave us fresh fruit from the garden multiple times and it was very good. On a side note, I accidentally started a fire on one of the tables on the porch, which damaged the table as well as some playing cards, a set of dominoes, and an ash tray. Nimrod was very relaxed and reasonable about this. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay on a beautiful island.

There is nothing not to like

The accommodation is in a quiet location, perfect for relaxation. With the scooter, which you can rent right there, you can still get anywhere quickly. The room is very large, bright and equipped with very good AC and fan. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and everything was very clean. The room is cleaned daily and there are fresh towels. The family is very nice and helpful and we felt at home, which is why we stayed longer than originally planned.

Awesome place! Family is extrely nice and the overall expericen is wonderful! I recommend this place to anyone.

The location was really great. The equipment of the rooms are much complete. We liked that we could buy a 20 litre bottle of water offered by the host at 12 mil COP, while at a close by market four half litre bottles are sold at the same price.

We did not like that the energy went down two times during our one night stay at times we had to then wait to do our morning coffee for an hour and the other time not to have light. It may not be within the hands of the owner but the way we were told that it is an great exception we found not to be very honest. Also that we'd have internet having to do home office, which has barely worked at all. Since we selected that place with a coverage map of internet service providers we have just bought ourselves sim-cards and powerful packages and were happy with it. We have stayed at three different places at Providencia and were more welcomed at other places not like at this one where the first words were, that the owner thinks it were a reserving system error and that they would not really welcoming us having booked only one night. Given our experience we do not understand the high ranking with references compared to other places, since others we felt offer better for less.

Amazing place to stay in the island. The rooms are clean and nice and has air conditioning and despite that the room is located next to each other you can not hear anything. Also inside each room there is a kitchen with everything you need (coffe machine ,cooking place ,sandwich maker ) The hotel is surrounded by mountains so the view is amazing from the room. Also you can rent a moto straight there for a good price so you don’t have to look for it anywhere else. The family that owns the place is just the nicest people ever. They are always there to help you with everything.Highly recommend this place !would like to come back there ♥️♥️♥️

Super friendly people. The place has everything you need.

Nothing

Amazing place! Wonderful people! I am very glad they have a single rate otherwise it was going to be very expensive for me to stay at the island. Thank you so much for your hospitality!! The towels and sheets are all new. They have air conditioning and it has a perfect location!

Nothing, everything was outstanding.

The room is very nice, clean and well equipped. Convenient scooter rental on site at a good price. The family managing the posada welcomes you warmly and is very helpful and caring: I was sick during my stay and ended up at the hospital. Hortensia and Cidris came to visit and made sure I was doing well and had everything I needed. Thank you all so much!

the place is in one of the most main place of the island, with every thing close, the room is amazing, Ninrod and his son gave us all support, we arrived very earlier and they accept us before the regular time of check in. I really love the islands and for sure this place make all the difference in out staying

The hosts Nimrod and Hortencia were very helpful and always very friendly.

wonderful cosy terrace which we could have almost to ourselves, the room and kitchen were clean and had everything we needed. very helpful and gentle family, arranging water tanks and a scooter at a very decent price, and making sure we had everything we need. location was good as well, a few minutes drive from some of the best beaches

the room giving directly on the road side was a little noisy due to the road but also dogs around the neighbourhood which tend to bark at night. not much can be done about it but perhaps the room with the hammock in the back is more quiet.

Berton Place was the perfect accomodation for us on our week in Providencia! The flat was well equiped and very clean. The cosy terrace with sea view was amazing. The host family was always extremely friendly and helpful if we had any questions. They even organised a huge tank of 20l water for our stay so we could refill our water bottle instead of buying new bottles all the time. This saved us quite some time and money. You can rent scooters right at their place for a very good price.

We liked everything at their place! Generally the island is very warm and vibrant (and so a bit louder) which makes it harder to sleep if you‘re not used to it. If you are a light sleeper, you should bring ear plugs.

Berton Place is an exceptionally lovely place. We wish we could stay longer, but they are fully booked for our extended dates. The family the runs this place is so friendly and you instantly feel like family. They are around and and happy to help when needed, but very much respect privacy. The area is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. The terrace has a beautiful view of the ocean and the balcony off our room had the most incredible view of the garden and mountains. We truly couldn’t recommend this place enough. Best advice is to not hesitate to book this spot immediately!

Everything was perfect

We had a wonderful stay here. The apartment is a well designed, really comfortable and spacious with a good kitchenette, lovely views of the sea in front and the garden out back with the hills behind. Sidris and his family are very accommodating and helpful with anything you need, and was great to get their knowledge and wisdom of the island, plants and food they grow. I recommend hiring a scooter off of them to explore the island.

nothing it was brilliant

This is an excellent place to stay. Spacious and airy with a lovely outdoor deck. The hosts were so helpful and generous with their time and knowledge. Helped set us up with transportation and boat tour. I highly recommend Berton Place.

Nothing. It was perfect!

Nimrod, Hortensia and the boys were such fantastic hosts - really embodying the general vibe of the island. the room (if a little basic) had everything you could want, the garden is beautiful and the terrace was a great place to chill with a breeze and the sun on your face. bit of a walk to any beaches but they can sort you a bike straightaway. we hope to be back!

Everything was just unbelievable awesome. From views from the room, the room equipment to hospitality of the host family. We felt like the part of the family for the whole stay. They provided us a lot of useful info at the begining and there was also option to rent motorcycle at the place. If you seek peace and silence in the middle of the carribean we really recommend to visit Providencia and especially to stay at this place. You won’t regret a day!

there was no wifi (due to hurricane two years ago), but it was not a problem at all, as we had mobile internet and it was nice to be offline sometimes in this carribean paradise. :)

The staff was very helpful and made you feel like home.

The host family was wonderful and Bertons place was definitely our best stay during our so far 6-week Colombia trip. We got help for everything. We were suggested a wonderful private boat tour, helped with organizing a golf cart and even the host drove me there to pick it up and drop it off. The room was always clean and all was even better than expected. Providencia is the place if you look for a calm, relaxing escape with wonderfully friendly people everywhere. Thanks for everything!

that we had to leave :D

I had a great stay at Berton‘s place. The host family is super nice and helpful. The apartment including kitchen is fully equipped and everything is very clean. I could rent the scooter right at the place which was convenient.

There is no wifi at the posada, although this is a good opportunity to enjoy some relaxing days offline :)

Lovely personnel! Helped us really good to discover the island the best way! You can rent scooters there and they even made a reservation for a very nice restaurant for us. The room is huge and you have your own kitchen! Definitely would recommend staying here!

There wasn't wifi... but because of the hurricane 3 years ago nobody has wifi there anymore. She told us they were definitely working on that!

Felt like visiting family!

The apartment is very simple but functional

The hostel is on the street, so of course purely from the view not very special

Nice people. A clean large place. Kitchen has everything you need.bed was comfortable nice balcony to relax and read

The location is a bit far for food and beaches but it's not bad for provendencia

The owners are very nice. The view on the garden from tje private terrace, siping a cup of coffee is perfect. The room is spacious, and contains all that is needed. I highly recommend staying there. I tried to book a tour myself with a guide directly and I only ended up losing a lot of time as the guides never showed up. Twice. Avoid the hassle and problems and book everything through Berton's.

Everything was great really.
