Breakfast was delicious!
creaky floors
I experienced the warmest of welcomes into Sheelagh's kitchen and home, filled with great food, comfort, deep conversation and a beautiful air of peace. Her property is set in the backdrop of the rugged beauty of Ballyferriter, out on the magnificent Dingle Peninusula.. what more could I ask for? Only to stay longer.
Sheelagh is wonderful
Everything was perfect. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was perfect to set us up for the day. The location was a perfect place to end our day out on the wild Atlantic way and begin our further exploration the day after.
The was absolutely nothing to not like about Sheelagh's Kitchen
Ancora grazie!
Loved the house and Sheelagh was so friendly and accommodating. We will be back.

Very nice room. Quiet. Great choice for breakfast. The home baked brown bread was delicious
All good
Amazing service and room.
We really enjoyed our stay. Sheelagh was the perfect host and provided much more than we bargained for.
Can not comment as I do not partake of breakfasts
Nothing
Sheelagh kindly opened her kitchen to meet any dietary requests from the start, as well as providing a delicious freshly prepared breakfast every morning. The table was beautifully set, and I was made to feel at home. Having the chance to converse in Irish with Sheelagh was the icing on top. I couldn’t have asked for more!
Fijne plek, aardige gastvrouw, gezellig
Lovely host
The welcome , the location, the room all lovely and spotless.
Homey
Not a lot open in town
Seelagh is very friendly. She speaks both Irish and English and knows the area well.
Sheelagh is an amazing host. She couldn't have been nicer. Great information and tasty breakfast. Very comfortable room.
Sheelagh was a tremendous host who house was a real pleasure to stay in.
Very cute and clean space. Most comfortable bed we’ve stayed in. 15 minutes away from dingle. Sheelagh was wonderful! She gave us many tips and recommendations. Would stay here again.
Continental breakfast on steroids! Plentiful selection of cereals, yogurt, fruits, local cheeses, eggs, fresh butter, and an assortment of breads, including Sheelagh's homemade soda bread.
Nichts
Friendly and laid back host who went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and to help us with our itinerary during our stay. Nice breakfast and everything was very clean. Short walk away from Ballyferriter village where there are pubs and you can get lunch or dinner.
The property was clean and the hosts were pleasant, but I felt that the description was a little unclear. It’s essentially a room within a family home, and breakfast is served in the family kitchen. I hadn’t realised this from the listing, so it didn’t quite match my expectations in terms of privacy. The “sea view” is visible only when standing and looking through the roof window, and the house itself has creaky floorboards and an echoey feel, which made us feel we needed to be quiet. It wasn’t the best fit for us as we prefer a bit more privacy, but it could suit other travellers who enjoy a more homely, shared atmosphere. Location We didn't enjoy the location that much. The house is not in the thick of things but neither is it remote and relaxing. It's on a fairly busy road in a neighbourhood area, with houses on either side. We were hoping to hear some live music nearby, but during our stay there wasn’t much happening in Ballyferriter Village (although I understand there often is). We ended up driving into Dingle for live music, which is something to keep in mind if that’s part of your plans.
no tenenmos ninguna queja
Access to kitchen. Lots of space. Friendly owner.
Hard to find as no sign or house name
We had stayed there two other trips and chose to go back because we enjoyed being at Sheelagh’s cozy and well equipped and comfortable home.
Ganz tolles Frühstück mit lokalen Produkten
Beautiful home, walking distance into Ballyferriter. Sheelagh was the kindest and most caring host. She made our stay perfect, going out of her way to help us in so many ways including advice on wonderful activities, places to dine, directions, everything we could possibly have needed! Her brown bread at breakfast was wonderful!
It was perfect.
Great location, wonderful room, and the host was awesome. Best stay we've had in Ireland.
We liked everything.
Breakfast superb. The warmth and friendliness of the host notable.
Sheelagh’s Kitchen was just as I had hoped it would be. She is very friendly, helpful with advice, provided quality meals, adequate parking and a comfortable room accommodations. We also had nice conversations and enjoyed some tv in the evenings.
The rain, but I didn’t visit for the weather.
Sheelagh is a gracious host with a beautiful home. We were looking for a quiet location and this fit the bill perfectly. The home is a short walk to the village Ballyferriter, which has a couple of classic pubs and hotel. We had dinner at the hotel and it was amazing. It's also a short drive to Dingle where we walked out to the lighthouse and enjoyed the vibrant town. Sheelagh is an amazing cook and the breakfast was one of the highlights of our vacation. Highly recommended.
The bed was a bit tight for two. The day bed is actually located outside the room in a common area.
Colazione ottima, la signora Sheelagh molto accogliente e disponibile e pronta a dare ottimi consigli. Biscotti, yogurt e scones cucinati x noi molto buoni. Il caffè migliore bevuto in Irlanda
Every thing. The location only 10 minutes walk from the village, beautiful scenery on all sides, the house was tastefully decorated, the room was spacious, bright and airy, the breakfast choice was excellent and the owner (bean an tí) Sheelagh could not have been more accommodating.
Nothing
A most enjoyable stay . Sheelagh is a wonderful cook - delicious breakfast, great variety. She is also very knowledgable on the area & gave excellent advice on walks etc .

Sheelagh is the best. She is such a character, very joyful and happy person. We enjoyed chatting with her very much. Breakfast was delicious and catered for gluten free (she even got me some special biscuits) Rooms were comfortable and clean. Location is great, not far from anywhere!
Sheelagh’s attention to detail makes her place very special, be it the room or breakfast.
The breakfast was amazing. Sheelagh was an amazing host and super accommodating and helpful. Enjoyed every minute
Nothing, we did have to change rooms but it did not impact our stay
Location excellent, host engagig and informative, brrakfast delicious and varied each morning.
Very large room and excellent bathroom. The host Sheelagh was very helpful and great with local knowledge.
This place was a little challenging to find. ALthough Sheelagh gave us her postcode the GPS took us a little further up the road. Having found it the stay was great. Not a comment on the property but we found choices for food in the village were limited and it is about a 20 minute drive back to Dingle.
Bed was comfortable and the room was clean with lots of room.
Only skylights in the room and they could not be opened for outside air. Property was a little difficult to locate, owner said look for the bird statue on the wall. Statue is small and covered with overgrowth.
The host was a delightful woman, full of local knowledge and info..a must visit if you're in the area.
Nothing
Sheelagh is such a lovely person, it was very nice to chat with her. She also gave me a lot of tips for activities in the area. The room is very nice furnished, big, bright and clean. Breakfast was great with selfmade/local things and a nice view through the window. I really enjoyed my stay there and would absolutely recommend! :)

The properly was beautiful, very warm and cosy. Perfect location to where we needed to be. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Sheelagh was an exceptional host, the breakfast each morning was 10/10. We felt so comfortable there and will definitely be booking again in the future.
We enjoyed talking with the host and other guest at breakfast. Our room was spacious with lots of storage.
The stairs were a little narrow.
Big, beautiful room with skylighs that open. Quick walk into town for a pint or dinner.
Sheelagh’s Kitchen was a beautiful and well-appointed property on the west end of the Dingle peninsula, along the Slea Head drive. Gorgeous views out the window! Sheelagh was a great host and very generous with recommendations and provided great conversation! (She wisely told us to take the Slea head drive clockwise, lest we find ourselves trying to cross a tour bus on the narrowest passes of the drive-I read otherwise on travel forums) Would definitely stay again!
Nothing. Great spot.
Lovely home, beautiful views, I enjoyed chatting with Sheelagh. I enjoyed the local yogurt and cheese for breakfast.
I liked it all, though it was a bit further from the town than I would have preferred, and a bit more expensive but I knew that when I booked, and I booked quite late.
Breakfast (continental) was a bonus as it was not mentioned as part of our booking. Nice touch.
Found it difficult to locate the correct house.
Everything
Nothing to dislike
Wonderful place to stay in a great location for nearby hikes. Lovely breakfast in the morning. The host was very accommodating. Would stay again.
The property was charming and in a stunning location! Sheelagh is a delightful host and made us feel right at home!
Everything was great!
Very friendly hostess
Creaky floorboards in bedroom
The room was upstairs, very spacious, clean, huge closet, big mirrors. Shower was powerful. Breakfast was very good with varieties. Host was very nice. Beautiful mountain view from the kitchen with tiny glimpse of the water.
We expected sea view from our room and were disappointed. The floor made noise whenever you walked. Lighting in the room could be better.
Location
Breakfast was superb, with home made preserves, locally made cheeses and yoghurt. Scrambled egg was served with roast tomatoes and basil.
Can't think of any shortcomings.
Sheelagh is a great hostess! She was very knowledgeable about Dingle and various activities. She’s an excellent baker and all our breakfasts were delicious. I enjoyed the variety of healthy choices which included fresh fruit and yoghurt. The accommodations were lovely and comfortable. Thank you Sheelagh for making our stay in Dingle even more wonderful.
Loved the breakfast every morning. Good coffee. Sheelagh is a star! We had such a good time. She also gave us recommendations every day on what to do and all of them were a hit with us.
We liked everything
Sheelagh is an awesome host in an amazing location with lots of awesome stuff to do nearby. Breakfast and hospitality was excellent.
Sheelagh is an excellent host, and easy to talk with. She made us a delicious breakfast, and her place was very clean and comfortable.
Comfortable B&B, spacious bedroom, tea/coffee making facilities and guest lounge were appreciated.
All fine
Sheelagh was a wonderful host. The room was cosy and warm and the shower was excellent. We had a lovely breakfast. You are a 10 min walk from the village and the scenery is stunning!
Breakfast wonderful. Everything wonderful. First class.
Nothing!
