Vi kom inte in på vårt rum och ingen personal på plats 18.30. Låset på rummet funkade inte. Fick ringa akutnummer för att få dit in som konstaterade att låset inte funkade. Fick ett annat rum i en av slottets annex . Personal som hjälpte till var dock tillmötesgående och vi fick viss kompensation på morgonen.

Je kunt er ook eten, wat fijn is, er is een leuk terras buiten en een eetgedeelte binnen, ook is het een winkeltje met allemaal leuke dingen om te kopen. Er is een meer heel dichtbij, ideaal als je wilt zwemmen of aan het meer bbqen

Balkongräcket var trasigt och huset hade en del detaljer som skulle ha behövt en uppdatering. Tråkigt att själva slottet inte hade öppet mellan tiden för check-in och check-out, så vi hann inte se det historiska slottet.

Stor forskjell på hva vi forventa og hva vi fikk. Huset vi bodde i var utrolig slitent utvendig, og det var også ikke stelt ute i hagen. Ikke noe som minner om slott. Det var litt rart å dele bad med så mange som også brukte lang tid i dusjen.

Wifi virkede ikke om morgenen. Caféen/kaffebaren kunne med fordel have noget brød/morgenmad. Fik kun en lidt tør kanelbolle, virkede fra dagen før.

Bildene viste et fint hus og vi gledet oss til å overnatte i flotte omgivelser. Da vi kom til huset tenkte vi at det kunne ikke være dette, for det var helt forfallent. Men det viste seg at det var der vi skulle overnatte. Barna ble redde og nektet. Far var ikke uenig. Vi leverte inn igjen nøkkel og fant et hotell. Hadde bildene vist sannheten så hadde vi aldri bestillt her. Det var greit nok innvendig men førsteinntrykket på fasaden skuffet oss såpass at overnatting ble uaktuelt. Sikkert ok for den som er forberedt på å bo i en rønne, men ikke for oss.

Reviewed May 13, 2026Sagolikt: Sängarna var helt underbara. Underbara lakan, örngott, täcken och kuddar samt madrass. Allt var helt fantastiskt! Fint möblerat och "pyntat". Och inte minst: Vacker utsikt. Helt Allt var så välkomnande. Personen som tog emot oss var också mycket tillmötesgående. Fullt utrustat kök. Fräscht modernt badrum.
Nu känner jag mig som prinsessan på ärten - för allt var så fint! Men ska jag nämna nåt: Lite knepigt med att låsa låset in till rummet. Sen blev jag inte riktigt klok på duschset i badrum. Hur man sätter på och stänger av tak- respektive handdusch. Och då man har tvål på händerna är det lite svårt att testa och vrida på reglaget (i alla fall då man inte vet hur man egentligen borde göra). Så nån liten inplastad instruktion hade passat mig bra.

Reviewed Mar 31, 2026Man bör inte tro att det är ett hotell man bokat. Snarare ett vandrarhem med stora ytor och gemensamt kök. Fin miljö och bra utflykter i närheten
Lustigt att det ligger brevid en skola för byggnadsvård och huset man bor i ser lite ut som ett spökslott utifrån. Flagande färg och ovårdat hus. Det finns ingen slottsresturang eller frukost. Man behöver ta bil för att äta frukost och kvällsmat eller ta med eget. Insidan är det som är det charmiga och utsikten över sjön. Man bör inte boka i tron om att man kommer bo på eller särskilt nära slottet.

The location is remote and the cafe only opens 11-4pm on some days so you do need to bring your own food. The town is over 2 miles away by foot We loved it - just weren't prepared enough

Området er tæt på offentlige transportmidler og er dermed et godt udgangspunkt for sightseeing i Göteborg. Samtidig byder området på på en storslået natur med mange cykel- og vandreruter. Selve slottet er et helt fantastisk sted at overnatte. Fra vores værelse var der udsigt over søen. Der er adgang et veludrustet fælles køkken.
Et fælles badeværelse til en hel bygning var lige i underkanten.

The walking path nearby was clearly marked and ideal for peaceful strolls or morning jogs. Our time at the property was relaxing and memorable, with a welcoming atmosphere that made it feel like a true getaway. The instructions given to locate the key for check-in and check-out were clear and shared beforehand. The provided a map to the property which was very useful.
Overall, the rooms and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment for our stay. However, we did notice a few spider webs on the walls, which gave parts of the space a slightly neglected feel. The doors creaked loudly every time they were opened or closed, making us constantly worry about disturbing others, especially during the night. One of the more inconvenient aspects was that the dishwasher was out of order—a detail that hadn’t been communicated to us in advance. As a result, we had to wash all the dishes for our family of four by hand throughout the stay, which added unexpected hassle. Had we known ahead of time, we could have planned differently to manage meals and cleanup more easily. please see pic

Reviewed Jul 18, 2025Astonishing find - this “B&B” is a gorgeous historic summer house, with all its original furniture and art, in a lovely lakeside setting. We had the use of all rooms, including the large kitchen and terraces. The bedroom was enormous and luxurious.
Nothing, but it would not suit anyone who would like breakfast provided, or who would like resident staff. The staff were in the coffee shop/restaurant (also lovely and serving authentic food) on the other side of the lake.

The facilities were very comfortable, everything you would expect at a modern hotel. We were extremely lucky to have the whole property to ourselves but it would have been very nice if people were also staying in other rooms.

Reviewed Jul 17, 2024Nothing. We couldn't even access the property. But from the windows I could say that the rooms were extremely old and not taken care of well.
On the day of our arrival, the reception was closed so they sent us a message to tell us where to pick the keys. That mailbox was empty and the "urgent" phone number wasn't picking up. After 1 hour of hopeless attempts contacting anyone we gave up and we had to make another booking somewhere else. When we asked for a refund they said the keys were there and we didn't call the urgent number. Luckily I have taken videos and photos of the situation so now I'm trying to resolve this via booking dispute resolution. Stay away from this property by all means!

Reviewed Feb 24, 2024The castle and grounds are stunning, lots of outdoor space and lovely lakes to explore. We had the whole of the right wing to ourselves, which is very substantial in size, a lovely four poster bed, library, huge dining room and kitchen, you really do feel like royalty.
Well, after we had been in our room and had just started to unwind, a member of staff let herself in with a key, without knocking or any sorts of forewarning. She proceeded to engage my girlfriend in Swedish (as she's a native) and demanded that she moved her car....all of two meters. Her car was the only one in the car park and it remained that way for the duration of our stay, I found this to be rude and incredibly petty as we had paid a premium for a room with parking outside. The kitchen is very outdated, and the hob does not function well, so if your staying here and it hasn't been replaced, the microwave will be your best friend.

Was not made clear this was a self catering accommodation. For foreign occupants it could have also been made clear that Floda is a “dry” town and alcohol is not readily available.
