We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. Linda is a great host, taking very well care of her guests, together with her husband. Breakfast was really good, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The area is nice. Unfortunately we could only stay for 1 night.
We had a lovely stay at Glebe house. Our hosts were very friendly and helpfull. The place was spotless and comfortable and breakfast was delicious! I would definitely recommend Glebe house.
The most welcoming hosts! The breakfast was amazing and Linda went out of her way to help connect our family to very distant relatives!!! We loved the greeting crew of dogs and cats and the view was just beautiful.
The Glebe is a very fine Georgian home set in extensive grounds, and kept by a delightful hostess. The breakfast was as grand as the house.

The hosts were incredibly attentive, the surroundings peaceful and picturesque, with gorgeous views over green fields and horses and I had a wonderful night’s sleep. A truly special place to stay.
Beautiful house in a lovely setting. Delicious breakfast and incredibly friendly hosts. We loved our stay at Glebe House. Only 2km from the Grand Canal Greenway and plenty of food options close by.
Nothing.
This B&B has character & history.
We received a warm welcome & it was very comfortable, peaceful & relaxing 😌

Tranquility
Loved the authenticity of house and the location for Hill of Uisneach event, along with the adjoined rooms - twin beds and double en suite with fantastic views. Linda is a great host with plenty of local knowledge. Recommended
Was nervous about the dogs barking and coming to the car on arrival, but didn't see them afterwards. They did bark after returning from the event but didn't seem to be out.
It was welcoming and so relaxing. Having access to the living room was really lovely.
This was one of the best places we stayed during our trip to Ireland. The house was gorgeous, breakfast delicious, and owners so kind and welcoming.
Well decorated living and dining area with antiques, excellent ambiance. Breakfast was good.
Had no idea takeaway food was not allowed to bring. Linda was very friendly, but her husband was not, instructing close the front door always.. don’t bring food.. felt like back in school hostel.
Groygeous breakfast in beautiful room. Felt really well taken care of.

Beautiful house and grounds. Breakfast was plentiful.
Our beds were uncomfortable and the room was freezing all night and morning.
Was in a lovely location very peaceful, host was lovely and very helpful, lovely fresh breakfast.

Beautiful old house. Linda our host told us that it was 200 years old and to excuse the odd spider we might find( which we did not). Linda was most welcoming and made us feel right at home. Our room ,The Goldsmith Suite, had a beautiful dual aspect and also had another room with 2 single beds. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit, cereals and a cooked breakfast along with wonderful coffee. Glebe House is definitely a place to stay
Linda is a wonderful host, property is gorgeous, grounds magnificent
Access is a little remote but that's also part of its charm
Peaceful, quiet and beautiful property with lovely host. We had an amazing breakfast and Linda provided great tips where to go for an evening walk.
We liked everything 😊
Peaceful and lovely lady who was so helpful
No internet but to her defence it was stormy
Fantastiskt läge och väldigt fina rum. Trevlig värdinna, väldigt serviceminded. Så vackert hus och fin miljö!
A Truly Special Stay at Glebe House My 9-year-old daughter and I stayed at Glebe House on the second night of our trip through Ireland, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. The house itself is stunning – elegant and full of character, almost like stepping into a beautifully kept museum, yet still incredibly warm and welcoming. Our host was exceptionally kind and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was the view from our window – watching horses graze peacefully outside was such a memorable and calming sight for both of us. The breakfast was made to order and absolutely delicious, with care taken to suit our tastes perfectly. Every detail of our stay was thoughtfully considered, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxed throughout. It was a truly pleasant and memorable experience – one of those special places that stays with you long after you leave. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, charm, and genuine Irish hospitality.
Glebe House is such a gorgeous place! Full of history and true style with love for details, everything is so special. We spent four nights at Glebe House and it was the best place on our trip to Ireland. Linda was a very elegant and friendly host, the docs were really cute and friendly even to us shy people, the horses make it even more special. The surroundings are relaxed and there are attractions in all directions. We loved it, thank you Linda!
All was excellent!
Fabulous breakfast.
Absolutely loved the house, people running it and the location
Peaceful location. Gorgeous house. Great breakfast. Accommodating and friendly host.
Linda was really friendly. We were visiting family in the area. We had a family room and a double room. I loved the fact that the family room was in effect 2 rooms ( great for my teenagers) house is very quiet, right out in the country with views over the fields. Kids loved the animals. Sat nav directed us right there despite comments online saying people had difficulties finding it. We had no problems. Would recommend for a quiet stay
Nothing to dislike.
It was out in the country
The horses were gone
Breakfast was lovely freshly made plenty of selection of cereals & lovely fruit bowl Location great for Centre parcs Beautiful old house very well kept
Host on arrival bit abrupt when i said i made payment???
Warm welcome by Linda, a caring and very helpful host. An exceptionally cosy and relaxed place to stay. A gorgeous breakfast.
Elegant historic surroundings with old fashioned furnishings befitting the period in which the house was built. Peaceful, lovely garden and countryside setting
No complaints
Nice, quiet place with beautiful surroundings. All that you need was in the room.
There are so many items in the house. It's too much for me.
Superb place, lovely owners. First class stay.
Linda & Gerry were really friendly & helpful. They made us feel at home.
Magnificent property, gorgeous room & outlook, pretty clean comfortable room, fresh breakfast, great welcoming host
All good
The property is very impressive, with the gates and the horses. The house is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. The owner spent some time with us to explain the house interesting story. The breakfasts were very good with lots of food and fresh fruits.
The room temperature was not adequate for the fall weather.
Glebe House is an experience, where a BB experience, attempts to marry the experience of that of a boutique hotel. This close union is exceptionally Met and it's very much a marriage that works really well. Our host and owner Linda was extremely welcoming and friendly. The surroundings of Glebe House are other worldly, with a mix of antique furniture, modern glimpses in tasteful decor, all complimenting each other well. The House is situated on beautiful gardens, though we were disappointed because of the Irish weather, we were prevented of being able to discover the garden gems due to inclement rain. We stayed before in other country houses, where a continental style breakfast was on offer, but Linda went all out with her offering of Continental style and the Full Irish. All beautifully served and cooked to perfection. Of course, breakfast was served in a beautiful well lit Dining room with crockery reminiscent of times past while homemade bread and jams were also on offer.
The experience of Glebe House was in essence without fault. The only down turn would be if you found yourself being a non driver. The House is located around 30 mins drive from Mullingar. We journeyed in the darkness of night from Mullingar to Glebe House in rain, the road is twisty and rural but in the day light things are very different.
Nice host, very helpfull. Splendid breakfast. Well maintained property which is 200 years old and looks amazing.
Could use with little more heating in the room through the night & in the morning.
Glebe House is gorgeous! The bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in! Linda was a wonderful host. She made breakfast each morning which was served in her beautiful dining room overlooking the yard where we could see horses. You will need a car for this area. It is quiet and so peaceful.
Nothing!
Linda was a charming host! Beautiful, unique property! Highly recommend!
Loved everything
Lovely staff, beautiful old property, really good breakfast
The bed was not great, rather uncomfortable
Historic property in a perfect location for exploring the area. Many interesting sites within 30-40 minutes. The host gave us many suggestions as well as provided a folder packed with information about the county. A bit off the beaten path but absolutely worth a visit especially if you like walking, hiking and biking. We enjoyed learning about the history of The Royal Canal as well as a long walk around a peat bog.
Beautiful manor gracious host, comfortable room, great breakfast
Firstly it was really near to Centre parcs where we had visited that day. It's in a beautiful setting with wonderful views. We had a lovely stay, the staff were so accommodating, the house itself was really impressive and the breakfast was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay.
Linda, the host, was lovely and easy to talk to. She made us feel very weclome and the place is just so romantic and beautiful. Breakfast was lovely and included. Do recommend
Excellent breakfast and service
FYI- there’s a light blinking in the hallway between the two rooms
Comfy bed
Breakfast took a bit too long to get ready. We had to wait approx. 30 minutes.
Linda is a wonderful person, she gave very good tips for the area. Her house is beautiful and the room was just perfect. We‘ll definitely be back ❤️
Very flexible with a late arrival and with an early breakfast, which was also perfect

We loved everything about it. We love an old style property. The grounds are spectacular
Nothing to dislike

We have recommended Glebe House to our friends. We loved everything about this place.

Breakfast is excellent with fruit, egg, bread, tea, very well. View is good with garden and horse
Already very ok
Beautifully appointed Victorian home reasonably close to the Royal greenway..
The old world charm and character, the beautiful surroundings, mature trees and horses in the fields. And for me, most importantly was how friendly and welcoming Linda is.
Lovely friendly host who went above and beyond for us. Highly recommend.
The Glebe House is fantastic. The location gives good access to Longford county. The property itself is beautifully furnished, spacious and warm. Finally Linda is a gracious host who offered us great insight on activities in the area.
We stayed here early in an extended trip so all other properties we stayed at had trouble meeting the high standard that the Glebe House set.
Atmosphere and warm welcome Nice breakfast
Lovely rural setting with pedigree horses in the field outside my bedroom window. Outstanding breakfast, with a particularly generous portion of fruit, including raspberries from their own garden and apple juice from their own orchard.
Beautiful old property fully restored and decorated appropriately. Genuinely welcoming and gracious host. The best breakfast, fruit salad included raspberries from their own garden!
Steep stairs
