Wat opviel was het contact met de eigenaar, bijzonder prettig en klantgericht. We kregen twee dagen vantevoren zelfs een berichtje met de opmerking dat we eerder konden komen omdat de kamer al vroeg klaar zou zijn, bijzonder aangenaam!

Het vriendelijke ontvangst van de ganzen. En de fantastische locatie op zich.

Niets. We waren 100% overdonderd door de hele fijne sfeer.

Wat een fijne plek! Het hotel ligt in het rustige dorp Evergem, op ongeveer 20 minuten rijden van Gent. Eigenlijk vond ik dit veel leuker dan een hotel midden in het centrum: heerlijk rustig, veel groen om je heen en je kunt je auto gewoon gratis op het eigen terrein parkeren. Het is een mooi en charmant landhuis met een grote tuin en veel natuur eromheen. Bij aankomst werd je meteen begroet door een familie ganzen die rond het huis liep. Erg leuk, daar word je vanzelf vrolijk van. Ik verbleef in de Suite. Die was ruim, schoon en heel sfeervol ingericht, met een heerlijk bed. Ook de gastheer en gastvrouw, die het hotel zelf beheren, zijn enorm sympathiek en gastvrij. Als je Gent wilt bezoeken maar liever niet midden in de drukte zit, is dit echt een heel fijne plek om te verblijven. Ik kom hier graag nog eens terug.

Eigenlijk niets. Ik heb een heel prettig verblijf gehad en kan weinig concrete verbeterpunten bedenken. Behalve de foto's, die kunnen beter, want de kamer is mooier dan op de foto's op Booking.

Heerlijke locatie en zeer vriendelijke mensen. Ik was mijn fietsslot vergeten en heb van de eigenaar zijn kettingslot mogen lenen. Heel fijn.

De suite en de locatie, op fiets afstand naar Gent.

Chambre très sympathique avec vu sur l’étang. La maison et son environnement était top.

Il manque d’un climatiseur car il faisait très chaud dans la chambre (35° dehors).

Alles, prachtige ruime familiekamer, goede bedden. Een uitgebreid en lekker ontbijt. Een zeer warme ontvangst.

Very cute bed&breakfast with amazing garden and geese in the backyard. Big spacious rooms and calm and cozy atmosphere. It was a good location when we had to be in Gent in the mornings.

The pillow was really old and lumpy, maybe they should be changed asap! there was a musty smell in the room when we got back so had to keep all the windows open for a bit.

De ligging, omgeving, charme van het pand en natuurlijk niet te vergeten de zorgzame, vriendelijke en enthousiaste gastvrouw. De eenvoudige en snelle bereikbaarheid middels ov (bus) naar Gent. Voldoende en ruime keuze in elk niveau van een eetgelegenheid.

Le cadre bucolique, la taille de la chambre, le confort de la literie, la TV connectée ambilight. La baignoire est aussi un réel plus même si nous n’avons pas eu l’occasion de l’utiliser. La gentillesse des propriétaires, leurs réactivité et leurs indications claires. Nous espérons pouvoir revenir à l’avenir !

Sehr schönes historisches Haus, die Lage ist perfekt und sehr zentral zum Stadtkern in Evergem. Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig geschnitten. Das Frühstück war perfekt. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich hoffe bei meinem nächsten Besuch bekomme ich wieder ein Zimmer. Jederzeit wieder!

The location is amazing, in a quiet green area with a pond and geese that add to the atmosphere. Lovely hosts and the rooms are comfortably sized.

Though overall still comfortable the state of the finishings could be better to enhance the overall experience and quality of the accommodation. However, the price to quality here is unbeatable!

Goed ontbijt! Vriendelijke gastheer en gastvrouw! Bedden en kussens zijn prima, maar heb wel eens beter gehad.

Sehr schöne stimmungsvolle Einrichtung und ein gutes Frühstück, mit einem sehr schön gestaltetes Obstteller.

We werden ontzettend hartelijk en gastvrij ontvangen. Bij aankomst kregen we zelfs de keuze uit verschillende kamers, wat een fijne verrassing was. De locatie is werkelijk prachtig: een soort kasteel/landhuis verscholen in een schitterende tuin. Bovendien liggen er in de buurt meerdere goede eetgelegenheden. Het ontbijt was een absoluut hoogtepunt: heel compleet, veel homemade producten zoals honing en granola, en met veel zorg klaargemaakt. Kortom, een verblijf waar werkelijk alles klopte – van de vriendelijke hosts tot de idyllische setting. Een absolute aanrader!

de ganzen in de tuin zorgen af en toe voor wat geluid en laten hier en daar wat sporen achter. Dat hoort bij de landelijke sfeer, maar kan soms een beetje onhandig zijn.

La finca y el jardín son verdaderamente bonitos, un lugar muy especial. La suite estaba muy bien, muy cómoda y con todo lo necesario. Los desayunos estaban ricos y eran muy completos.

Ik had de suite geboekt. Dit is echt een hele mooie kamer met alles erop en eraan. Het bed was zalig. Het was ook zeer hygiënisch. De parktuin is ook mooi om in rond te wandelen.

Ik had misschien iets meer verwacht van het ontbijt. Er werd geen eitje aangeboden de eerste ochtend. En er was enkel gewoon brood. Maar dat had wellicht te maken met de problemen die er die ochtend waren geweest met de oven. Dag 2 was alles prima.

Bijzonder prachtig plek. Vooral de tuin, maar ook het hele gebouw zijn zeer sfeervol. Alleen maar om in dat tuin even te zitten komen we graag terug. De eigenaars zijn echt sympathiek en hartelijk, en deden graag hun best om ons laten ontspannen.

Een geweldige accommodatie ligt heerlijk in een geweldige tuin. Met een heel uitgebreid ontbijt door Bart en Elke heel vriendelijk verzorgd. Ook de kamers waren prima en heerlijke bedden. met de tram op 10 min. lopen ben je in 20 minuten in Gent en hoef je niet naar een parkeerplek te zoeken

What an amazing place oozing history. It was like staying in a chateau. We had a problem with our van and Bart tried his best to find a garage but as it was a national holiday nothing was open. The bed was very comfy and the breakfast was comprehensive with top quality foods. We would give it 11 if we could. If you want the ultimate chateau experience at a reasonable price then this is most definitely for you. Thank you so much Bart for being such a great host. Nick & Sally

Very beautiful

We couldn't have found a better place! It's like living in a fairy tale... time seems to have stopped. You can enjoy nature, listen to the birds singing in the morning, and admire the beautiful geese that surround their huge garden with a pond and a bridge—just like a Monet painting. The owners Bart and his wife Elke were fantastic. We asked for a late check-in, and upon arrival, the owner gave us all the instructions over the phone. The breakfast is superb—highly recommended. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and filled with board games and books for our children. They got up early in the morning to play, letting us sleep in! The bathroom is huge, with a beautiful tub and plenty of towels for everyone. Outside in the garden my kids were jumping on a big trampoline and playing soccer! Very convenient is the fact that the village Evergem is just over 40 minutes from Ghent, we opted for the P+R, Parking for free in the next village (4 minutes by car) and took the tram (3 Euro) in 20 minutes you are right in the heart of Ghent... so you have the opportunity to see the surrounding areas too. Evergem has also a good choice of restaurants, we opted for an italian one and was superbe! We will definitely return. Such a beautiful memory!

Nothing..distance is a little far from the city, but well worth it when you get to the beautiful property..it's a precious gem with the pond and the geeses, especially if you are looking to unwind and have a tranquil serene stay!

The hosts were AMAZING and so helpful, kind and welcoming. My 91 year old friend actually loved it here. She rose to the challenge of going up and down 2 floors of a winding staircase. This is such a lovely place to stay with lovely garden surrounding. The breakfast served in a lovely room was perfect! Full marks to the hosts who are so kind and helpful. The room is not disabled friendly. I had a 91 year old with me. Despite this fact the hosts did EVERYTHING they could to make it work for her. Even letting her use their private facilities! Access to rooms was via a winding steep staircase 2 floors to a large attic room.

It’s a truly lovely place with a beautiful garden, and the owners are so kind and welcomming. Room was also wonderfull with a very comfy bed.

The oldie world building and garden. Modern but sympathetic bathroom .

We book 1 double and a twin room . On arrival we where told that he had upgraded us because the coach house or where ever we were supposed to be sleeping would be very warm at night. Then charged us extra for the upgrade . In hindsight we should have stuck to the original rooms we booked. It was not the price of the upgrade but the principle of him upgrading us without asking then charging extra..

The family running this place is amazing. Attention to the details, friendly and going the extra mile all the time. The breakfast is generous and very tasty. There is a nice and continuously updated list of restaurants in the neighbourhood including their opening times.

The hosts are amazing, very friendly and helpful. The property is very nice and maintained with care and love, very quiet and peaceful but at the same time well-located for the short trips around (like Ghent or Brugge).

Amazing place in the nature but very well connected to the city centre of Gent. Peaceful and relaxing, recommended!

So near to Gent and still the feeling of being in nature. In the neighbourhood (Spoorwegstraat) a stop of line 1, a tram towards the city centre. Easy, fast, reliable.

The electronic key was hard to use. I couldn't.t find a restart button, so had to wait after every mistake till the system itself restarted. I missed a table to work at. Back home I learned that the little machine on the side-table was a mosquito-killer. So advanced that I didn't know how to get it work.

Owners are great. Good communication. Very friendly

The hospitality, the room, the style, the location .. everything perfect. We can totally recommend it!
