Prima locatie, gioede ontvangst in het café verderop. De bedden zijn heerrlijk. .Ieper is een leuke en indrukwekkende stad. De prijs was helemaal goed. Wel even rekening houden dat je ergens anders heen moet voor een ontbijt, maar dat is geen probleem in Ieper.

De badkamer met wc was meer 1 onderdeel van de kamer en er waren wat zaken aan onderhoud toe. De douchedeur sluit b.v. slecht waardoor het water zo de kamer in liep. Ook was er geen direct licht in de n kamer.

Kan niet meteen iets bedenken

I loved the location and how clean everything is. The host is great and the welcome drink is a really nice touch. Ypres is a beautiful place to stay and the accommodation is a great base.

Ik kwam toe na een ganse dag in de regen te hebben gefietst. Dankzij snelle en duidelijke communicatie begreep men dat ik snel wou inchecken.Ik kwam vroeger dan aangekondigd aan, en kon direct binnen, op vraag had men een dweil klaargelegd zodat mijn fiets proper kon binnen staan.Thuis zet ik ook geen natte fiets binnen😉 Topkamer met alles wat je nodig hebt.

De locatie

Het bed. Wij hadden een deluxe kamer met king size bed geboekt en betaald. Op het laatste nippertje werd meegedeeld per mail (nooit rechtstreeks contact gehad, moesten sleutel elders ophalen...) dat de kamer was veranderd. Dit was absoluut geen king size bed, zelfs geen gewoon 2 persoonsbed, eerder een twijfelaar. Wij zijn niet superslank, dus 2 nachten slecht geslapen. Zeer spijtig...

Ruime lichte kamer. Alles wat je nodig hebt, is aanwezig. Koelkastje, koffie- en theefaciliteiten. Er was een gratis biertje en er waren wat flesjes water. Zeer schoon. Bij het ophalen van de sleutel kregen we een welkomstdrankje. De locatie is ideaal als je in het centrum wilt zijn. Parkeren kan iets verderop onbeperkt. Voor de deur moet je tussen 9.00 en 18.00 een blauwe schijf leggen en dan mag je twee uur staan.

Niet veel. Er mag wat verduistering voor het raam en een fohn xou fijn zijn.

Communication..I arrived later than expected. Key left in safe secure and easy to check in.

Only down side for me as I travled by motor bike was parking my motor bike however it was safe..

Toilet within the bedroom was unusual. We’d definitely prefer a “full wall” between the bedroom and toilet!

Goeie uitleg over het verkrijgen van de sleutel en de ligging. Het welkomstdrankje.

Veel te smal bed. Het toilet werd van de kamer gescheiden door een klapdeurtje en een te lage muur, bovendien was er van buitenaf inkijk mogelijk doordat de rolgordijntjes het raam niet genoeg verborgen.

Location, cleanliness and free parking

I would have liked more privacy in the shower. A privacy barrier would be good.

I stayed at this hotel to study the history of WW1 at Ypres. Before the arrival, I had communication well with the owner on Email and WhatsApp. The communication was so smooth. They flexibly accepted the change of arrival time. Arriving at Ypres, the owner kindly welcomed me, and offered a free beer. I enjoyed the dinner in his restaurant as well. The room was so relaxing atomosphere.

Het was heel aangenaam we moesten de sleutel in een restaurant op gaan halen. Hier lag je iets drinken en je kan er ook heel lekker eten! Het verblijf was zelf ook heel goed en heel mooi, alles aanwezig zelfs wat extra spulletjes zoals shampoo, deo en ontschminker

Het beviel ons heel goed, alleen waren w ede venster vergeten dicht te doen, het was aangenaam buiten dus hadden we ze open laten staan helaas een paar jonge mensen waren aan het roepen en aan het lachen over heel de straat om 2:00 's nachts...

Proche de la grand place et du musée des Flandres. Quartier tranquille. Chambre très joliment arrangée avec machine à café/thé et charmant message du propriétaire nous offrant une boisson dans un restaurant de la grand place. Super!

Rien

L'emplacement hyper centre est très appréciable. Les indications envoyés par le propriétaire sont très claires. Il ne s'agit pas d'un hôtel mais d'une chambre dans un immeuble, un peu comme un airbnb.

Les rideaux ne sont pas occultants...il fait grand jour dans la chambre, très difficile de trouver le sommeil personnellement avec autant de lumière... tout comme la lumière du couloir qui passe sous la porte. Il n'y a pas de TV. Il y a des sachets de thé mais pas de bouilloire...

La propreté de l’établissement. Le confort du lit. L’espace de la chambre ainsi que de la salle de bain. Le ventilateur était très utile en cette chaleur.

Le manque de télévision.

We hebben een heel aangenaam verblijf gehad. De kamer was netjes, verzorgd en van alles voorzien. De locatie is ideaal, op wandelafstand van het centrum. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen en kregen duidelijke uitleg bij aankomst. Het was een leuke extra dat er bier, koffie en andere drankjes op de kamer klaarstonden. Ook de aanrader van de eigenaar om te gaan eten bij De Trompet was een schot in de roos: heel lekker gegeten! We komen hier graag nog eens terug en kunnen deze accommodatie zeker aanbevelen.

A well appointed room with everything we needed. A beautiful building and tasteful decor. EXCELLENT location. We appreciated the free drinks to quench our thirst in the heat and communication was excellent with the manager prior to our arrival. Thank you 😊

As our room was on the top floor, and in the heatwave, the room was very hot. A nice big fan was in the room which really helped to keep us more comfortable at night. We managed the stairs fine, as it is very European building.

Met my requirements for a one night stay over in Ypres. Located in a quite area of town, yet less than a 5 minute walk to the centre.

Not a major issue but collecting the keys from the restaurant in the centre was more challenging than expect as the Google map photo image of the front of the restaurant is a few years old. It wasn't clear which was the correct restaurant to enter to collect the keys.

location is central, check in easy

This place might be perfect if you are alone but if you are with someone, it better be someone that you are *very* comfortable in hearing and seeing bodily / toilet functions! the on-suite bathroom was basically in the room, the wall was 160cm high so you can see over into the person on the toilet. the "door" of the toilet was a saloon wing door, so you can see through the top and bottom and slates. there is basically zero privacy on the toilet. it was really surprising and made the stay uncomfortable. also the guest recommended a local restaurant, in which he works! the free drink they offered at the restaurant did not make a dent into the 40 Euro each meal! the most expensive meal we had all week by a long shot and we didn't have anything fancy!

Goed geregeld met de sleutel. Het was schoon fris en netjes. Fijn bed en kussen. Goede douche. Leuk ingedeeld zo.

Niks viel tegen. Alleen 1 tip voor de verhuurder, vooral in de zomer. Zet een mini koelkast neer zodat we je aangeboden drankjes koel kunnen drinken. Nu hebben we ze laten staan. En om eventueel eigen drinken koud te kunnen zetten.

Geen ontbijt voorzien, slechts 4 koffiepads voor 2 dagen, werd dus niet aangevuld.

Kleine kamer en al zeker niet de volledige 2de verdieping want een deel is gewoon bergzolder. Douchekop dringend aan herstelling toe.

Super goede ligging vlakbij het centrum. Ruime en fijne kamers. Ga ontbijten bij kaffer André! Een aanrader op loopafstand.

De douchevloer op de eerste verdieping was erg glad!

It was in a brilliant location, the facilities were perfectly clean and the room was so interesting and fun. It was a unique experience and our host was so lovely and really looked out for us, making sure we were well looked after. Would absolutely recommend staying here, I wished we’d stayed a little longer!

It was just a bit difficult to find when we arrived late at night but we eventually found the correct building.

Kamer waa ruim en praktisch ingericht. Ligging tov het centrum prima. Niet betaald parketen op loop afstand. Koffie en thee werd op prijs gesteld.

Meer een aandachtspunt Ik miste een haakje naast de wastafel om een handdoek op te hangen. Ook een stopcontact voor een föhn of om een scheerapparaat op te laden. In de douche een flexibele haak om de douchekop te kunnen verstellen.

Location and proximity to attractions and eateries.

Not receiving any communication from the host until the day of our arrival and only after messaging them to inquire were they received. Climbing the stairs with luggage was a challenge and there was a poor smell bear the front door of the property.

Het was vooral heel stil in de kamer. Nochtans zaten we heel dicht bij het evenement ‘De gevleugelde stad’ in Ieper. Zeer netjes en vlot contact met de verhuurder !

Parking nearby was simple and after a short walk, found the front door. Instructions about entry were texted well in advance and everything worked well. Accommodation was spacious, clean and comfortable and only a very short walk from the Cloth Hall. Only a one night stay, but could have stayed much longer

The shower door leaked a bit, but we were forewarned; apart from that, it was spot on!

De locatie was goed, de kamer was heel proper.

Geen ontbijt. Wel koffie- en theefaciliteiten op de kamer. Zeer gehorig huis, je hoort alles. Veel heen- en weergeloop van eigenaar/andere huurders, op alle uren van de nacht. Er werd met deuren gegooid, veel gerommeld in het midden van de nacht. Het bed was zeer klein voor 2 personen.

The location was perfect for the city centre, and it was easy to park our car near the property. The host is a really nice guy and its our second stat with him.

Daar het een oud, gerestaureerd gebouw is, hoor je het minste geluid. Spijtig dat onze bovenburen geen rekening hielden met de andere gasten en het nodig vonden om ruzie te maken in de gang/kamer.

The location was ideal, and the welcome was exceptional. The thoughtful gestures, including a local beer upon arrival and a complimentary drink at a nearby bar when collecting the keys, were greatly appreciated. Furthermore, the dinner recommendation was excellent, and mentioning the establishment (Het Kapittel) resulted in an additional complimentary beverage.

Bathroom facilities including the toilet were in same area as living area with only saloon type door separating them. Was only a half wall separating the two. There was not any extraction fan which can prove embarrassing. Each night we were there between midnight and 3 am the other occupants went up and down creaking stairwell slamming doors extremely loudly. A tv was not supplied. Advertising as a bed & breakfast food was not supplied. We would not recommend this to anyone who did not want a hostel style accommodation.

De locatie beviel ons het meest. Heel prachtig huis. Houten vloeren. Alles was aanwezig. Het stel waar we de sleutel gingen halen was heel vriendelijk. Alles verliep correct en vlot.

Een kleine frigo zou leuk zijn geweest. Misschien ook een haardroger.

De locatie is top, wandelafstand centrum en leuke musea. Goed schoon en fijn appje van de eigenaar.

Het heet een B&B, waar dan geen ontbijt bij zit? Dat is randje misleiding. Daarbij een snikhete zolderkamer zonder airco, houdt daar rekening mee bij boeken in zomer. Voor 15eu had je makkelijk een duurder hotel waarbij wel airco en ontbijt in zit.

No view from room as such but at least we had a window!

A lovely apartment in the centre of Ieper close to the Church. My room was in the attic with original wooden beams exposed which was great. Large room and bathroom. Great communication from the owner prior to arrival. A welcoming Beer 🍺 was also provided which was a nice touch.

Google maps took me to the wrong place initially as the address on Google was wrong. I have requested an update so hopefully no one else makes the same mistake. The correct address is on Booking.com.
