Nuba Dool

Abbiamo soggiornano in questa struttura due notti dopo aver finito la crociera sul Nilo. È un piccolo angolo di pace, sull'isola non abbiamo trovato venditori insistenti, solo persone gentilissime ed accoglienti che, al nostro arrivo, ci hanno detto di essere tutti una "grande famiglia". Qui si respira autenticità, il vero spirito del popolo nubiano. È stato bellissimo vedere i bambini giocare fino a tardi, asinelli e caprette girare liberi, prendere la barca (a soli 15 EGP, proprio di fronte alla casa!) per fare un giro ad Assuan o per visitare il bel giardino botanico vicino all'isola Elefantina. Siamo stati contenti di questa scelta perchè sono stati proprio due giorni rilassanti. A partire dalle 7 del mattino ci hanno gentilmente offerto colazione con falafel, formaggio, verdura, uova, the, caffè, il terrazzo è molto molto bello. Essendo bassa stagione eravamo gli unici nella struttura, ma c'erano comunque altri turisti sull'isola. Abbiamo mangiato da Kana Kato e da Makani ad Assuan, il nostro preferito! La barca è attiva sempre, anche la sera tardi e la mattina presto, è comoda anche se si hanno valige o se si deve partire e si ha un po' di fretta.

Nuba Dool was a lovely place to stay. Would highly recommend for those interested in staying on Elephantine Island. I found it comfortable, secluded, and safe even as a female solo traveller.

There is only a communal fridge, and occasionally items would go missing. Otherwise, no real complaints. Be sure you know which ferry to take from main Aswan. The one by the KFC is far, so try to head further South.

Para ser un alojamiento en la isla Elefantina no estaba mal, dado que el ferry nos quedaba nada más y nada menos que a 100 mts. Las instalaciones estaban limpias y cómodas.

Me hubiera gustado disfrutar del desayuno que se nos incluía, el cual comenzaba a las 07:30. Dado que teníamos que irnos antes a una excursión que salía a las 7, consultamos si podrían darnoslo antes o al menos llevar una vianda pero no fue posible. Me hubiera gustado que tuvieran ese gesto.

Amazing homestay. Beautiful people. Great breakfast served. Overall, the island here works on a different vibration. Come with open-mindedness and humility, and you will experience the warmth of the Nubian people here.

Taking the ferry to the island is absolutely worth it—it’s a great way to escape the noise of Aswan. The hotel is very close to the ferry station, which makes getting there easy. We chose a room with a view of the Nile, which I highly recommend. The host was very helpful, and the breakfast was phenomenal. Overall, a wonderful stay!

The rooftop terrace is awesome! Rooms are spacious and clean. Enough towels provided. Very close to the ferry so well connected to the centre of Aswan yet quiet location on Elephantine island.

Water was leaking inside the fridge. We didn’t like the coffee but found a good local place across the river for coffee and food (Makani). The restaurant they advised us (King Jamaica) was very touristic and didn’t offer a good service.

It’s a bit of a shock when you land in the island. Dirt paths and all the buildings look run down but once you get past that you get great views of the Nile from the decks. All the restaurants I tried there the food was exceptional. King Jamaica, Kana Kato and Aziza. Makani on the mainland was also great. The owners of the hotel were extremely helpful organising trips and making sure you are ok. Rooms are basic but good value for money. Really enjoyed my time there

The people who own it are lovely. The daughters speak English and were VERY easy to communicate with and answered questions quickly. I appreciated that very much. They arranged transport to Abu Simbel which went well. You do have to take a ferry back and forth but it was super easy and 15 egp each way (about 30 cents in USD and took 2 minutes. I added a picture of the ferry spot you want to take because our driver was confused. Once off ferry, it was the 1st house. The rooms were rustic but good for the price. It is no Hilton but for the price was great. The bed was new (a little hard/ uncomfortable but ok). AC worked very well. They cooked us breakfast (if you ask) for a small fee. Was great. Peaceful balcony for relaxing. A small community kitchen area on balcony was nice bonus. The people on the island were remarkably friendly. Good restaurants within walking distance on island. King Jamaica and Kona Kano (spelling?). I do recommend this place for an authentic Nubian experience.

The bathroom door in the room next to us was super loud. They were our friends so ok, but if not it would have been annoying. I recommend they fix that. Otherwise, nothing was bad.

Not expensive. Ok choice if going to bed late and waking early. Very authentic village feel.

Lifted covers and there was either a big dirty foot print or a burnt iron mark. For either turned me off. Sheets were dirty. Outside my door was a kitchen table for guests and I could hear people talking as if direct in my ear. No sound proofing from people in street either. I had to leave for another guest house not far away which was perfect.

Just short before und during Ramadan a lot of young people in front of the lodge were loudly playing and until midnight.

老板非常热情，上楼提行李.并且安排汽车停放位置.因为要早起去阿斯旺所以老板特意问了时间并且准备了非常好的早餐（面包、鸡蛋、小果汁饮料、还有小零食薯片！）

1.门是坏的，有个大裂缝 窗户贴纸也是害得，毫无隐私可言，女孩子谨慎入住该房间，2.卫生间公共的，不停洗漱用品，3.瓶装水也需要主动要，不主动提供，WiFi太烂了。3.房间巨吵闹，不隔音，外面临近街道吵的要死，室内挨着客厅客人疯狂聊天吵的要死，影响睡眠非常疲惫。4.临走的时老板主动要求给高分评价，无法理解。

Best choice to stay at Elefantina island when you are in Aswan, Visit the teples and the nilometer very close to the house. it is like to stay in a village in the middle of the Aswan. Der Empfang ist sehr herzlich und alle sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Vom südlichen Fähranleger läuft man zwischen ein paar wenigen kleinen Geschäften hindurch zu einem kleinen Platz, dort befindet sich das Nuba Dool im roten Haus links. Da auf der Insel keine motorisierten Fahrzeuge sind, ist es relativ ruhig. Man hört den Verkehr aus der Stadt aus der Ferne. Die Dachterrasse ist super schön mit Blick auf den Nil und Assuan, in einer kleinen Küche kann man sich jederzeit Tee oder Kaffee zubereiten. Es gibt auch im Haus nette Aufenthaltsräume und die Zimmer sind liebevoll und dekorativ gestaltet. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt.

The location, the terrace, people. Just cross the river by public ferry (15EGP) and step into the hotel.

The property is exactly what it claims to be - clean, comfortable and located just off the ferry stop. The family that looked after the place was very supportive and went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable.

Amira was extremely solicitous and helpful. She arranged good trips at reasonable price with quality transportation (car, driver). Her availability was exceptional. The place is suitable for less demanding tourists who are willing to accept less comfort and worn, scratched furniture, doors and amenities.

The facilities are nothing like the pictures and the description. This is someone's house who rents rooms to tourists. It is located on an island accessible only by ferry., on a dusty lane, very close to the ferry. There is no private bathroom. No mosquito nets on the bed and there was at least one mosquito in the room when we arrived. There were also no sheets under the bed cover or pillow cases. Extra bedsheets were provided immediately upon request the next day. Bikes may be offered (we did not ask) but the surroundings are not inviting.

This is the 3rd time to stay at Nuba Dool. It became my favorite spot from all aspects. The Price, Nile View, Cleanliness and Hospitality all are Supers 👌

Nuba Dool è una casa nubiana, da cui si può vedere il Nilo e le feluche alla sera. Ancora di più dal terrazzo sopra. È pulita e con letto confortevole. A cinque minuti a piedi c'è la grande area del tempio ormai distrutto e in particolare il NILOMETRO più antico. Sulle sue strade sterrate si vedono solo bimbi a piedi e in bici che giocano.Niente auto.

Purtroppo la cucina non mi ha invitato a cucinare, ma direi che un po' in tutto l'Egitto è così. D'altra parte costa così poco mangiare fuori, che non era un problema.

Établissement bien tenu, superbement situé sur l’île Éléphantine à proximité du bac public pour se déplacer facilement. Parfait !

The staff asks me to book the trip to Abu simbel and it costs me 40 Euro. While I dont care this money， but I was told it should be only 20+ Euro or even less.

Struttura accogliente, pulita e molto tranquilla, letteralmente a due passi dal molo da dove si arriva con la barca. Servono la colazione tipica sulla terrazza, davvero buona! (Opzione a pagamento) La proprietaria è molto disponibile e gentile, è stato facile comunicare con lei su Whatsapp e ci ha aiutato ad organizzare il trasferimento dall’aeroporto. È possibile organizzare anche altri tour. Se avete dubbi su dove alloggiare ad Assuan, consiglio di alloggiare sull’isola Elefantina perchè è molto più tranquilla rispetto alla città e allo stesso tempo è facilmente raggiungibile, ci si arriva in 1 minuto grazie alle barche che partono di continuo.

I had an amazing 2 days stay at Nuba Dool. I first wanted to stay in Elephantine Island to be far from the chaos of Aswan and Nuba Dool completely fulfilled my needs as it is quiet with friendly and very helpful people. Also the ferry to Elephantine Island is easy to get and it is just EGP15. I could relax in the mornings watching the sunset and drinking a coffee. I definitely recommend Nuba Dool.

Everything was perfect and good value for money. From the clean facilities to the kitchen and the comfortable beds it was definitely one of the best stays. The ease of access from the port which is literally 100 meters away and takes 2 mins to walk was a key highlight. Additionally, the owner Amira helped from the get go on how to come, helped arranged the tours at best prices and even was so kind to give more tips and tricks on restaurants. 1000/10 for my stay here at Nuba Dool! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The location on the island gives a wonderful experience of village life with no cars or rickshaws. Excellent breakfast cooked fresh for me. I highly recommend if you're staying in Aswan and want a simple comfortable experience of Egyptian life.

Jamás he visto tanta amabilidad!!! El hotel super limpio, la habitación con las camas cómodas, con ventilador de techo y aire acondicionado. Muy tranquilo... Se respira paz... La distancia del muelle al hotel 1 minuto!! Amira, la dueña, es un ser de luz excepcional!! Y la familia también, muy comedidos... Nos ayudaron en todo. Amira tiene muy buenos precios para las excursiones. Pedí que nos recogieran en el aeropuerto (lo recomiendo para asegurarse de llegar al muelle correcto), y en la isla nos estaba esperando ella en el muelle. (La lancha que te cruza cuesta 15 EGP por persona). Os lo recomiendo 100% a los que les guste ir por libre, cómo nosotros

Para nosotros estaba todo bien. Para otras personas quizás el que no esté la ducha separada con mampara o cortina no le agrade. A mí no me molestó...

Muy linda y tranquila guesthouse en la isla. La habitación amplia y cómoda. Hay una nevera en la sala de uso compartido para guardar las compras. La terraza excepcional para relajarse a contemplar el Nilo. La familia que maneja el guesthouse, súper amable, nos ayudaron a coordinar el traslado desde el aeropuerto, y el barco privado a la llegada y la salida. Un punto a tener en cuenta, que no necesariamente es un punto negativo de la propiedad, es que al estar dentro de la isla, el barco público desde y hacia Aswan funciona de 6am hasta la medianoche, y cuesta 15 libras egipcias por persona en efectivo. Fuera de ese horario, se supone que sale 75 libras, pero al arreglarlo, nos cobraron 100 por persona. Y al menos lo que nos pasó a nosotros, es que los tours que teníamos contratados con “recogida en hotel”, debían ser del lado de Aswan, así que se añade tener que coordinar el barco privado para el tour a Abu Simbel, por ejemplo. Pero debían nuevo, no es necesariamente un punto negativo del hospedaje, sino algo a tener en cuenta, según nuestra experiencia.

La ducha de nuestra habitación no tiene un espacio propio dentro del baño, así que al bañarte mojas absolutamente todo. Si bien dejan un secador de piso, no es lo más cómodo, aunque tampoco fue un gran problema.

La guest house è situata a 1 minuto a piedi dall’ attracco del ferry, super comoda! Le camere sono pulite e la location è tranquilla e silenziosa. Se volete soggiornare sull’isola elefantina è un’ottima soluzione!

I loved the property’s beautiful Nile view and convenient location. It was very clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen that had an electric oven, gas stove, and free tea and coffee. The owners were also very helpful and respectful, which made the stay even better.

Really lovely hosts who made us feel looked after. We organised a driver to Abu Simbel with them for a good price which was easy to do. The room is a good size, and the ferry across the Nile is 1 minute walk away even with luggage. It is much quieter than staying on the other side. Would happily stay again.

The location is near the dock , it is clean ,the hostess is nice.Also good if you like to see the more traditional side of Nubian culture.

It was a bit noisy and our aircondition was broke and they never came to fix or offer us to swap rooms.

Todo nos ha ido estupendamente en Nuba Dool. Tienen servicio de recogida en el aeropuerto hasta la isla elefantina y el alojamiento está literalmente donde el embarcadero así que es muy fácil llegar y muy fácil coger el ferry de vuelta a Aswan (10 libras egipcias). Nosotros pedimos la recogida en el aeropuerto porque el avión a Aswan llegaba muy tarde y el ferry público termina a las 12 de la noche (empieza a las 6m). La habitación y el baño eran amplios y muy limpios. Desayuno sobroso en la azotea de la casa. El trato de Amira inmejorable. La isla elefantina es un lugar muy tranquilo y muy buena opción alojarse en Nuba Dool Guest House para conocer el entorno y al pequeño grupo de personas nubias muy amables que viven en ella.

Nada malo. El baño estaba fuera de la habitación pero era privado, con llave para nosotros, así que no supuso ningún problema

Nous avons potassé un excellent séjour à Nuba Dool sur l’île Éléphantine, à deux pas du port pour prendre le bateau. Le personnel a été très à l’écoute et disponible pour nous aider, très belle vue depuis la terrasse, nous recommandons !!

Adorables et très propre. Pensez juste à arriver au bon embarcadère. L'île est sableuse et les valises roulent mal

Hermosa y lo más importante es que era muy tranquilo , aveces es necesario escapar del ruido en estas excursiones y vacaciones , Amira nos ayudó con el traslado del aeropuerto , nos recibió con agua y con una cálida bienvenida , nos mostró donde comer ( Jamaica , excelente ) tenes mercados locales cerca por agua o lo que necesites , y después nos facilitó nuestro viaje a Abu Simbel con traslado en bote al otro lado y todo el viaje a Abu simbel al siguiente día nos ayudó con nuestro traslado a Luxor , todo a buenos precios . Recomendable 100% , las instalaciones bien , si volvemos , volveríamos a ese lugar !! Gracias Amira

Struttura carina a pochi passi dal ferry tratta sud per Aswan. La mia camera era all'ultimo piano con ingresso dalla terrazza, da dove si può ammirare il Nilo e la città sulla sponda opposta. Su richiesta possibilità di mangiare alla guest house, Amira mi ha preparato un'ottima cena vegetariana.

地理位置确实还是挺方便的，但是就是每次出门得来回坐船。房间很干净，也有空调和热水。算是性价比很高了，而且房东人也不错，挺好说话的。机场接送机也都可以在房东这里预订，还不错。

船着場から近いのが本当に便利でした！ 部屋も清潔でクローゼットも大きく使い勝手が良かった！ チェックアウト後も夜の飛行機時間まで荷物を預かって頂きトイレも自由に使って良いと！ アスワンに来たらまたこちらを選びます！

The owner was extremely kind and accommodated a flexible check-out time when my husband developed a fever and needed to rest longer in the room.

There wasn’t anything particularly bad, but you have to take a boat to get to the island, so people who get seasick should be careful.

Well located, away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, host was awesome, very helpful with booking cars and tours to fit our needs.

Wifi was a bit hit and miss.

It’s very close to the port in the island. There is a big platform with nice view. Room is clean and the air condition is strong.

The Elephantine island is a piece of history. The stay was very central, we took the oficial ferry to the island for 3min/10egp and landed directly in front of the stay. The view from the terrace super beautiful especially at sunset. Zaineb and her mother were very kind and welcoming and they took good care of the rooms and us. I would definitely book it again if I went back to Aswan!

The signs directing to the hotel could be better, we had to ask about the location at first.

The location is very convenient as it is very close to the ferry dock. The staff was very helpful and breakfast was fresh and superb. You can see a partially obstructed view of the nile from the terrace. They arranged an airport pickup at a very good price (compared to what we were charged in Cairo and Luxor). I recommend the King Jamaica restaurant for a meal when you are on the island. Grocery shops can be more expensive on the island than on the mainland.

The place was difficult to find as there is no sign board. The rooms and furniture are old so you might get an unclean feeling (even though they are really not)

Location is excellent,couple of minutes to ferry and 5 minutes by ferry to city.Breakfast was great on the terrace overlooking Nile.

Perfect location to get away from the hustle in Aswan while having great views of the river. This hotel is on a little island and is situated right near the public ferry terminal so is easy to get to (other hotels you’d have to lug your suitcase over non-paved paths). Highly, highly recommended. We had a great sleep in the large comfortable bed too.
