No drink making facilities in the room

Beautiful home, very comfortable. Superb breakfasts and some great restaurants in the town. Well situated in the lovely small town of Courselles-su-Mer and near to Juno Beach. Also close to WW2 beaches which were most interesting and touching. We learnt a lot!

Everything was good, nothing was too much trouble for our hosts.

De eigenaren waren heel vriendelijk en meertalig, probeerden ook Nederlands. Een heerlijk frans ontbijt, fijne sfeer en leuk ingericht.

L'unica criticità che segnalo riguarda le pulizie che non sono mai state fatte nei tre giorni di permanenza. Abbiamo richiesto quantomeno asciugamani puliti e ci sono stati prontamente forniti .

I absolutely love this place. It’s one of the best places I have stayed on any travel. Laurence and Rudolphe are amazing hosts. The place is a short walk from Juno beach and the museum, but away from the most touristy parts. Close to shops and cafes.

Everything was perfekt. Wonderful breakfast prepared with all regional and selfmade products and with full love! Very nice and always helpful hosts!

Das Haus ist sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Zimmer waren komfortabel und sehr sauber. Laurence und Rodolphe sind tolle Gastgeber, die an alles gedacht haben und sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit sind. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Das Frühstück war hervorragend, es war angereichert mit ausgezeichneten lokalen Produkten und es wurde mit grösster Aufmerksamkeit in einem sehr schönen Ambiente serviert. Die Lage war sehr zentral, bis zum Strand und zu verschiedenen Restaurants war es nur ein sehr kurzer und angenehmer Spaziergang. Die Gastgeber Laurence und Rodolphe waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit, gaben gute Hinweise zur Region und waren immer aufmerksam. Bei ihnen hat man sich wie bei guten Freunden gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sie könnte auch in einer Zeitschrift für gehobenes Interieur abgebildet werden. Wir waren also vollkommen zufrieden und können diese Unterkunft allen empfehlen, die ein paar schöne und sorgenfreie Tage in der Normandie verbringen wollen.

Nichts, außer dass unser Aufenthalt einfach nur zu kurz war, um diese schöne Unterkunft noch länger geniessen zu können.

Außergewöhnlich liebevoll eingerichtete Unterkunft. Hier stimmt jedes Detail. Frische Blumen auf dem Tisch, liebevolles Interieur, ein traumhaftes Frühstück im Garten, zuvorkommende Gastgeber...einfach perfekt!!!

Hier hat wirklich alles gestimmt, die Bewertung „außergewöhnlich“ trifft in dieser Unterkunft in allen Bereichen voll und ganz zu. Ich glaube in Courseulles-sur-Mer kann man nicht besser wohnen als in La Cantellerie.

Il livello di attenzione al dettaglio, la cortesia continua rivolta alle esigenze del cliente sono il loro punto forte… che dire della colazione, eccezionale nella sua proposta di prodotti fatti in casa. Un peccato non utilizzare la struttura per più giorni per goderne la sua familiarità

Jak Normandia to tylko La Cantellerie! Wspaniałe miejsce z klimatem. Fantastyczni gospodarze i te śniadania przygotowywane osobiście przez nich i serwowane na tarasie. Szkoda było wyjeżdżać.

Værterne, huset, faciliteterne, beliggenheden, de 2 katte super hyggeligt ophold. Og i god afstand til sights og spisesteder.

Dès l'arrivée, on se sent accueillis avec simplicité mais convivialité. La maison est très confortable, décorée avec goût; nos hôtes, Laurence et Rodolphe, sont aux petits soins. Le petit déjeuner complet agrémenté de productions "maison" se prend au jardin, quel bonheur de débuter sa journée dans ce cadre reposant. Tout est fait pour qu'on se sente "comme chez soi". Une merveilleuse adresse que nous recommandons vivement.

★★★★★ Ein traumhafter Aufenthalt – besser hätte es nicht sein können! Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in diesem ganz besonderen Bed & Breakfast in der Normandie. Schon bei unserer Ankunft haben wir uns sofort wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich herzlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit und hatten viele tolle Tipps für Ausflüge und besondere Orte in der Umgebung. Ein absolutes Highlight war das fantastische Frühstück! Jeden Morgen gab es etwas Neues zu entdecken, darunter die köstlichen selbstgemachten Marmeladen – jeden Tag eine andere Sorte. Einfach herrlich und mit so viel Liebe gemacht! Auch die Zimmer sind wunderschön und mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Man merkt überall, wie viel Herzblut in diesem B&B steckt. Ein ganz besonderes Extra ist das kleine private Strandhäuschen, das man als Gast nutzen darf. Es ist liebevoll eingerichtet und macht einen Strandtag zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Für uns war es ein einmaliger Urlaub, an den wir uns noch lange und sehr gerne erinnern werden. Alles war perfekt – die Unterkunft, die Gastfreundschaft, das Frühstück und die wunderschöne Umgebung. Von Herzen vielen Dank für diese wundervolle Zeit! Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und können dieses Bed & Breakfast uneingeschränkt empfehlen. ❤️

Hele vriendelijke hosts in een prachtig huis, heerlijk ontbijt, sfeervolle inrichting en goede locatie!

De gastheer en -vrouw waren uitermate vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Niets was hen te veel. Op wandelafstand van de zee en restaurantjes.

Soggiorno in un palazzo d’epoca fine 800 molto affascinante. Camera molto carina arredata con mobili vintage, forse con troppi soprammobili che ho dovuto raggruppare in un punto per avere lo spazio per i nostri beauty-case, pavimento in assito di legno antico color bianco. Letto molto grande, forse un po’ duro per i miei gusti, anche se è soggettivo. Colazione molto buona con croissant, pane , yogurt e marmellate fatte in casa , anche se un po’ ripetitiva per il rapporto qualità prezzo, in altri B&B ci sono state proposte delle torte fatte in casa e delle crêpes. I padroni di casa sono sempre stato molto gentili nel chiederci se volevamo ancora caffè - pane o marmellata . Le colazioni le abbiamo sempre fatte nell’elegante soggiorno o nel salottino molto intimo e romantico, tanto che sembra di immergersi in un’altra epoca! Mise en place impeccabili con bellissimi servizi di porcellana ( anche di Limoges) e cucchiaini d’argento. Via molto tranquilla e silenziosa, con possibilità di parcheggiare in strada in tutta sicurezza. Il paese è molto carino e comodo come punto di appoggio per visitare le spiagge dello sbarco. A piedi si può raggiungere il centro Juno che è il museo dedicato allo sbarco dei soldati canadesi.

Abbiamo soggiornato per sei notti e onestamente visto la lunghezza della nostra permanenza ( forse inusuale per la struttura) mi sarei aspettata che la stanza ma soprattutto il bagno venisse pulito almeno una volta o due. Il cambio asciugamani non è previsto in automatico lo abbiamo dovuto richiedere noi e anche lo svuotamento del cestino della spazzatura in camera ( avevamo delle bottiglie di plastica, del rifiuto umido e della carta), diversamente non è previsto che venga svuotato. Poi lasciandolo fuori dalla porta hanno capìto e provveduto. Inoltre, visto che anche in Normandia fa caldo, consiglierei di dotare i letti non solo di piumone ( troppo pesante per la stagione estiva) ma di trapuntino da letto più leggero ed estivo.

Schöne Zimmer, super Frühstück, gute Lage, freundliche Gastgeber, historische Haus - liebevoll eingerichtet, Parkplätze in Hof.

Vertskapet var helt spesielt. De var genuint interessert i at vi skulle trives. Deres varme og omsorg, og et fantastisk hus og hage, vil vi huske for alltid. Stedet kan anbefales på det sterkeste for alle som setter pris på ekte gjestfrihet i fredfulle omgivelser.

Laurence and Rodolphe are fantastic hosts.Nothing is too much trouble and they are a lovely couple. Breakfast can either be indoors of in the garden.Great fresh breakfast each day with little added extras! Very comfortable bed , slept very well. Lovely large bedroom overlooking rear garden. Parking off road is available but there are parking places outside property on quiet road. Loved this B&B.Highly recommend a stay there to all.

Laurence und Rodolph sind sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam Das Frühstück ist klasse, regionale und selbstgemachte Produkte, sei es die selbstgemachte Marmelade oder das Granola. Wir wohnten im Nid, mit liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das Meer war 10 Gehminuten zu erreichen, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Bäcker, Metzgerei usw.) In 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Laurence und Rodolph besitzen ein kleines Strandhäuschen direkt am Meer, dass sie ihre Gäste auf Anfrage reservieren.

Classic French house with beautiful proportions, a pretty walled garden and a family feel. Well located for shops and beach ( access to a private beach cabin) in a quiet, pretty street. Hosted with warmth and professionalism by Rodolphe and Laurence who were on hand to give local advice, book restaurants etc and serve delicious home made breakfasts in the garden.

Laurencekirk and Rodolphe were lovely and very welcoming. Beautiful house and very comfortable. Slept well, beds were good and room quiet.

Wir waren für eine Woche in La Cantellerie und haben unseren Aufenthalt unglaublich genossen. Die Herzlichkeit von Laurence und Rodolphe ist außergewöhnlich und das Haus ist etwas ganz Besonderes. Bei schlechtem Wetter kann man es sich im Wohnzimmer gemütlich machen und bei schönem Wetter im herrlichen Garten. Der Strand und Restaurants sind in fußläufiger Nähe und die Landungsstrände mit Fahrrad und Auto gut zu erreichen. Zweimal durften wir auch ein Diner a la table d'hote in La Cantellerie erleben. Zwei äußerst vergnügliche und kurzweilige Abende mit den anderen Gästen des Hauses und sehr leckerem Essen. La Cantellerie ist eine tolle Unterkunft, die sich auch für einen längeren Zeitraum und in der Nebensaison eignet, da man es sich bei jeder Witterung gemütlich machen und die meisten Ziele in der Normandie in gut anderthalb Stunden per Auto erreichen kann. Und Laurence und Rodolphe sind einfach tolle Gastgeber!

Alles war toll.

De locatie is op korte loopafstand van het strand en de restaurants. In 5 minuten zit je in de bedrijvigheid van het strand en de winkels. Je kunt de auto zowel bij de locatie zelf parkeren als er ruimte is maar ook buiten de poort kun je veilig je auto parkeren. De gastheer en gastvrouw zijn geweldig. Zowel bij aankomst als tijdens het verblijf doen ze alles om het je naar de zin te maken. Zij geven goede adviezen over te bezoeken plaatsen en evenementen. Zonder deze aanraders was onze vakantie minder geslaagd geweest. De kamer was schoon, licht en ruimtelijk en van alle gemakken voorzien. Elke ochtend een met zorg klaargemaakt ontbijt met zelfgemaakte jams die elke dag varieerden. Croissants, stokbrood en ander zelfgemaakt brood waren aanwezig alsmede ook vruchtensappen. Koffie/thee werd ook vers gezet en naar behoefte aangereikt. Een van de verrassingen die ons overkwam was het gastendiner dat de gastheer/vrouw voor ons klaar maakten. Het hangt natuurlijk ook van de gasten af hoe zo'n diner aanslaat. In ons geval met Duitse, Franse en Amerikaanse gasten werkte het erg verbindend en leverde het veel gezelligheid op. Kortom het is ons zeer goed bevallen en wij zullen zeker naar deze locatie terug gaan als we weer in die buurt willen zijn. Ook de geste van Rodolphe en Laurence bij ons vertrek hebben we erg op prijs gesteld.

Eigenlijk helemaal niets. Alles voldeed aan de verwachtingen en in ons geval zat het weer ook erg mee. Geen regen of kou maar een prachtige temperatuur om de D-daystranden te bezoeken alsmede mooie plaatsjes in de omgeving.

This is French hospitality at its finest. We were greeted warmly by Laurence and Rodolphe and they were the most perfect and attentive hosts. The house is beautiful and clean and the breakfast is fresh and homemade. They couldn't have done enough for us. Its a 10 minute walk to Juno beach and the perfect location for Bayeux and the D day beaches.

Quel séjour parfait à La Cantellerie ! Tout est au rendez-vous: accueil, confort de la chambres, délicieux petits-déjeuners et proximité du centre.

Het ontbijt was fantastisch! elke ochtend in de watten gelegd met een uitgebreid ontbijt waar veel aandacht aan is besteed. Prachtig sfeervol huis en een mooie tuin. Laurence en Rudolphe zijn ontzettend lieve mensen met veel zorg naar hun gasten. Wij komen hier zeker nog een keer terug.

Kan niets bedenken

De vriendelijkheid, behulpzaamheid en de betrokkenheid van Rodolphe en Laurence zijn de hele tijd aanwezig, het is alsof je in een warm bad stapt. Het ontbijt is prima en grotendeels zelf gemaakt en als je de kans krijgt en het weer laat het toe dan kan het ontbijt ook buiten in de geweldige tuin.

Het echtpaar deed ons hartelijk begroeten. Ze zijn zeer vriendelijk en doen er alles aan om er een top verblijf van te maken. We zijn daardoor zelfs een nachtje extra gebleven. Het stadje is ook leuk. Veel restaurants en op loopafstand van het strand en de haven.

Superbe demeure de charme dans une rue au calme, tenue par des propriétaires attentionnés et accessibles. Nous avons beaucoup échangé avec eux et pour ne rien gâcher, ils ont d'excellentes recommandations sur les adresses du coin. Le petit déjeuner est un vrai plus. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

Alles - sehr freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber, schönes Haus, liebevoll eingerichtet und eingebettet in eine tolle Szenerie, alles super sauber, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Dazu noch leckeres Frühstück mit hausgemachter Marmelade etc. Rundherum eine sehr gute Erfahrung!

We had an amazing stay La Cantellerie, the room was fantastic, everything was taken care of and the breakfast was exceptional. It was truly unique and the two cats were also lovely. It is the perfect place to stay near Juno Beach.

Clean. Comfortable bed. Parking Breakfast was excellent although we were only offered a plastic wrapped shop bought madeleine on the day of leaving at 6.30. Something pre prepared and just a bit more substantial would have been ok

No fine touches. Everything was ok but nothing was exceptional. The price was more typical of a higher end property. If the price had been a third less it would have deserved a higher rating

Our room was very clean with a large (1.8 metre) wide bed. The owner were very friendly giving us good advice on where to go and where to eat. Breakfast was also delicous with various self-made products. There are also two lovely cats living in the house. The house has a secured parking space. During high season it's better to make a reservation. As we visited in low season this wasn't an issue.

WIFI was rather poor and the mobile network signal was weak inside the building.

Nette Gastgeber, die schnell einen persönlichen Kontakt herstellen und am Wohlergehen der Gäste interessiert sind. Gefrühstückt wird an einem großen Tisch mit allen Gästen. Produkte werden teilweise selbst herstellt.

Laurence and Rodolphe are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. We stayed in Le Nid, their small and beautifully converted cottage. Facilities all of a high standard and thoughtfully furnished and equipped. Very comfy bed , great shower and a smart little kitchen with everything we needed. We took advantage of the secure parking for our car and bikes. La Cantelleirie is on a quiet street with shops and restaurants just around the corner. Location perfect in it's proximity to the local beaches, and cycle paths.

É una splendida dimora francese ben curata sia all’esterno che negli arredi. Le camere sono molto spaziose ed il letto comodo. Ci sono cose che fanno la differenza tra un buon servizio di hotellerie e un ottimo servizio ed in questo caso sono l’accoglienza, la simpatia e la discrezione Laurence e Rodolphe che ci hanno aperto la porta della loro casa. Aggiorniamo la nostra lista delle strutture preferite dopo tanti anni di viaggi inserendo con tutti i meriti La Cantellerie.

Nous avons passés un excellent séjour, Laurence et Rodolphe étaient très accueillants, disponibles et bienveillants. La maison est magnifique et agréable, très bien situé.

Quant Old Masters House, tastefully done. Quiet pleasant rooms with comfortable beds.

One of the really few truly deserved 10 star ratings. Amazing historic house, perfectly maintained, stylishly furnished and with parking and a calm yard. Excellent location, close to everything in the city - the beach, the port, nice restaurant, supermarket and at the same time in a quiet street. I can recommend having breakfast as well, high quality typical for the region products, served in the relaxed garden - a perfect start of the day. And last, but definitely not least the fantastic hosts Laurence and Rodolphe, make you feel like you are visiting old friends who take great care of you, to have your full comfort (speaking fluent English and German as well). When I go back to Normandy will be my mandatory stop

We loved staying there! The hosts are wonderful! They were very accommodating and helpful as well as friendly. Thankfully, they both speak English. The house was clean, nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was great! Homemade yogurt, granola, fresh cut fruit and juices, fresh assortment of breads, eggs if desired, etc. We had a dinner prepared by the hosts and it was delicious! Overall, wonderful!

Laurence and Rudolphe were charming lovely hosts, couldn't have been more helpful. Fantastic house able to walk easily around the town. Good breakfast.

Noisy staircase

This is a really wonderful find! The warm welcome of our hosts was fabulous and breakfast in the garden so memorable with delicious homemade yoghurt, granola, jams. We can't wait to return.

Everything! Great location, the hosts were attentive and kind, the bed was great, as were the sheets.

Very easy to walk in the community. We were there for the juno beach center experience. Loved the farmers market and quick access to a grocery store. Breakfasts were superb. Comfy bed and great linens.

Fortunately the heaters worked to take the chill from the air.
