Welcoming hosts, clean room and facilities, nice rural location but also not too far a drive from local towns. I slept exceptionally well in the room. Breakfast was available as well as a vast selection of tea & coffees. I will definitely stay again when I next stay in the Cavan area.
Great place to stay in a beautiful location!!! Everything was perfect!!!!!
The best B&B ever, I didn't wanto leave.Everything, and really everything was perfect! I am looking forward to my next stay there.
I had a lovely stay. Really comfortable bed, cosy and clean room, a really lovely host, and good parking. Id highly recommend.
A delightful place to stay
Lovely, home away from home, Rosemary makes everyone feel so welcome, lovely peaceful location, tesco superstore less than a mile away, some beautiful walking areas
Apart from the beautiful walks, not much else to do
Location was wonderful. The space was great and beds were cozy!
Great host I will stay again if I’m in the area
All ok
All ok
It was just overall delightful! The owner was very pleasant and helpful. I felt very comfortable.
Breakfast continental was ok. Would have been good if there was some ham and butter in the fridge in order to make a sandwich. Wi-Fi was excellent.
TV was not working.
Lovely people. Fab location. We were looked after very well.
Great experience. Great value in general and unbelievable for the money. Super friendly lady and great breakfast
Location
Beds are unconfortable
It was so clean and organised inside the house and the surrounding landscape was so beautiful
Great breakfast
I loved every single thing! It's a little outside of Bailieborough if you are taking the bus, but very worth it. Ample car spaces, beautiful countryside, easy off the road entrance. Rosemary is tremendous!!!!! Her meals are delicious!!!! And she is incredibly hospitable - even lent me her more proper rain coat. The cozy and homey dining room always has snacks and a hot pot for water for your different coffees or teas. We were able to use the kitchen fridge for our leftovers (TRY the Bailie Hotel for dinner!). The room has sets of dishes, etc. I miss her scones soooo much! They were the best I ever had (ok I AM from the States). Her eggs were perfectly cooked every morning. She is also just a lovely person. We miss her dogs! They are completely outside and out of the way unless you beg them to come play with you which we did. The beds were fantastic. Very simple, but so comfy. The soft sounds of horses neighing and cows mooing were wonderful to wake up to. The shower is great with a fully closing door to keep the water in and fantastic water pressure. Plenty of thirsty towels and a great blowdryer. We had the triple room and there was ample space for us 3. We didn't even use the tv in the room. 11 out of 10 stars for a place I want to use again!
zero!!!! It's perfect!
Quiet. Lovely host. Good breakfast.
Great location. The warmest of welcomes. Lovely rooms and home cooking too. It feels less like you’re staying at a strangers home and more like you’re staying with family. You know that whole “help yourself, take anything you need” vibe.
There’s nothing to dislike from my perspective.
Rosemary was very welcoming. The place was spotless. The breakfast was lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had good pressure.
Nothing. Everything was great.
Feel like our home

All of it, Rosemary is an excellent host, the place is lovely, food was great, dogs are dead friendly. We would happily go back there again 😀
Can't think of anything, we genuinely liked it all.

Food was excellent. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast with plenty of cereals, toast /breads and cakes and of course tea. Lovely warm welcome, felt at home straight away. Bed, room and en-suite all clean, warm and very comfortable. The house is truly a credit to Rosemary. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
I would not change anything.
I'm delighted I booked this lovely B&B while I was travelling through Cavan. Rosemary is the warmest lady I have come across - a very genuine person - and I was made to feel at home instantly. My room had a fabulous view from it. The bed was comfortable and the shower was fantastic. The location was very quiet. It was a quick spin to Bailieborough for dinner and I was able to get a takeaway and have it in the dining room and help myself to coffee. Breakfast was fabulous!! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone. Thank you so much Rosemary for making my stay so pleasant.
Peaceful, quiet, clean, superb host and a great breakfast.

Rosemary and Trevor are a lovely couple. Nothing is too much trouble. They are friendly and views from their house is beautiful. Have been here before and highly recommend staying at their beautiful dwelling.
Friendly, comfortable, very clean, scenic, warm welcome. Easy to find, helpful and kind people. Comfortable and peaceful. .
Everything was perfect.
I really enjoyed my stay here. Rosemary is very welcoming. My room was warm, comfortable, clean, quiet and spacious. The cooked breakfast was lovely. It was a perfect location on my work journey. I would happily recommend.

Spotlessly clean, good breakfast and great hosts. Highly recommend. Will be back
Nothing
Breakfast was delicious. Rosemary always has coffee, tea and toast available with biscuits or scones when we were around during the day. It's not possible to go hungry 😊 We were very well taken care of! The views across the fields with beautiful horses and a greeting from the dogs made us feel right at home. Virginia is a short drive to restaurants for dinner
Couldn't fault anything, host lovely and food great 🥰
reasonable price, scenic location, beds good, instant hot shower with clear controls very good, ample breakfast. The horses out back were interesting to watch and there were no objectionable odors.
Our room was a little cramped for two adults. Only one suitcase rack and not enough floor space to put a second open suitcase. It was unclear what door was the entry to the B&B and where to park. A couple of signs would be helpful.
Rosemary was a great host cooked a great breakfast. Room was clean and tidy . Most enjoyable stay
Nothing every thing great
The family was so very friendly and helpful. Our Irish breakfasts were absolutely amazing!
Beautiful setting and a warm and lovely owner
Breakfast was excellent…. Their mattress was the best I had in Ireland… We were very happy to see the horses in the farm beside…. Thx Rosemary….
Nothing… everything were just perfect…
Rosemary was a fantastic host to myself and my children, they loved the pony and swings in the garden too.Our bedroom was lovely and cosy and beds so comfortable. Will definately be back.Fantastic breakfeast in the morning plenty of choice.
Everything was lovely.
A lovely and cosy B&B, great breakfast, lovely area
It was nice and cosy, very clean
Very nice owner and delicious breakfast
Nothing
Beds were fine and the place was clean at least.
DO NOT RECOMMEND this B&B, The host was very rude and made issues with a lot of things, 3 young people stayed and they were basically followed everywhere by either staff or they may have been family, very unusual behaviour!! the host let herself into the rooms while one of the young people was sleeping in bed to open a window....unbelievable really!! Facilities were supposed to be available to use for guests for example the washing machine and the host told the young people to go into town to find a machine to use, they needed their clothes washed for a horse riding competition, she did let them use the machine eventually but they were only allowed to wash the clothes on a short wash...again ridiculous which didn't clean the clothes. The breakfasts were below any minimum standard and we WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN AND RECOMMEND YOU DONT EITHER!!
Rosemary was a great host, really enjoyed our stay, lovely breakfast and everyplace was spotless. Great stay, would def recommend. Lovely location in the countryside.
The location is very good. The B&B is nestled in rolling hills with an excellent view of the countryside. When I opened the curtains in the morning there were horses running about. The location is between two fairly large towns, Virginia and Bailieborough. It's easy to gain access to the N3 a major road. Breakfast was great. Rosemary, the host, was more than happy to accommodate my gluten, and dairy free diet and made me excellent Irish oatmeal.
Breakfast could not have been better.
The couple that run it very nice and friendly
A bit away from destination but I chose it
Really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you
All goodl
This was one of the best b&b we have been to. Very clean and comfortable. Nothing too much trouble. Breakfast fantastic.
Breakfast - very good. Owner / staff very pleasant and friendly.
Attending a function in Virginia so difficult to reach (especially trying to organise a taxi). Room needs to be updated - clean but tired looking.
Spacious room. Lovely breakfast. Welcoming host.
Nothing
When we arrived Rosemary asked us if we would like some tea. We were surprised that it was not just tea, but a plate full of fresh baked scones & cookies! Very welcome after a day of navigating Irish roads. The breakfast was delicious and served promptly once we sat down and always with a smile! So much too choose from (cereals, yogurts, fresh fruits) my friend requested a poached egg instead of fried egg and there was no hesitation from the hostess to honor that request. Fresh baked goods- scones, breads, & pancakes. We did not leave hungry and it fueled us up for a day of travel and adventure. We asked Rosemary for suggestions of places to visit nearby and she readily offered up two fantastic choices, Loughcrew Carins & Tullynally Castle. We were not able to tour inside the castle (limited days for tours) but the garden was excellent.
Unfortunately, one evening the internet was not available which the hostess said happens from time to time. We did not want to make an International call to inquire why and would have liked another way to reach her during the evening hours. We were on the top floor and it was warm in the room. We wanted to open the window but flies kept coming in the room so we didn't open it as wide as we would have liked. The beds had firm mattresses, which was only minor discomfort for one of our party. Duvets and pillows were cozy. Suggested places to dine nearby that are available in the common area would be a nice addition for travelers.
We were attending a wedding in Virginia and we were able to check in enroute to wedding very friendly hosts and fab stay with luxury added at no extra cost 😄
Nothing
The host was very friendly and helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. The room and facilities were clean all and functioned well. A very relaxed atmosphere made an enjoyable stay.
