Ambrose Mews B&B

Our host was very welcoming and happy to help with directions when we had difficulty finding Ambrose Mews due to incorrect coordinates give by Booking.com. There was plenty of parking space and it felt very safe. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful with a good choice. We also appreciated the offer of fresh milk in our room. We highly recommend Ambrose Mews as a comfortable, welcoming and well presented home providing a restful place to stay.

The coordinates provided by Booking.com were incorrect leading to problems finding Ambrose Mews. Hopefully this will be corrected to avoid future guests the stress we experienced at the end of a long journey.

The property is fantastic. It is a family home with immaculate rooms, private bathroom with shower, the breakfast room is lovely, and the hostess is wonderful. The breakfast was incredible. We were definitely pleasantly surprised, this exceeded all expectations.

Mary is such a heartwarming person. She made me feel welcome the minute I entered the house. Her breakfast was delicious and I can only recommend this place.

Sublime grounds, and very comfortable stay. Mary was the best host and was extremely attentive to our well-being. It's a perfect place to have a quiet little get away. We loved our stay despite the weather!

Beautiful house in a rural location. The host, Mary and her son couldn't do enough for you and always checking in with you.I’d happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful place with wonderful hosts.

La signorilità della casa e della host, una signora impeccabile con un sorriso aperto. La camera grande, il letto confortevole, le tende spesse, il bagno, ad un passo dalla stanza con doccia super spaziosa. La colazione apparecchiata con cura, con porcellane con i fiori, piattini, centrini, proprio di classe. Peccato solo esserci fermati una sola notte. Complimenti per la cura della casa e dell'ospitalità, ve la raccomandiamo e se non prenotate qui vi perdete davvero una belle esperienza.

The warmth and hospitality as you walked through the door.

A very warm welcome. Mary was so helpful with preparing our breakfast picnic ( we had an early start), local knowledge and fresh local strawberries on arrival - perfect after a long, hit journey. Very luxurious room, great bed and shower. This is a lovely area, we spent the evening watching seabirds at Kilmore Quay. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Modern super clean room with lots of light and space. Located in a very quiet rural spot between Kilmore Quay, The Saltees and Hook Lighthouse and other points of interest. Great starting point for cycling, walking or touring. Mary has the set up like a hotel! Great facilities, great breakfast.

Gorgeous house, facilities are top class. Mary is a lovely person, kind, caring and an impeccable eye for detail. Breakfast was as good a presentation as you will ever get. I cannot praise this B&B enough. Thoroughly enjoyed it and will return again without any hesitation. Photos don't do it enough justice. More pictures would explain why I rate it so high.

Dieses schöne Landhaus empfängt einen schon mit einer prächtigen Zufahrt. Der sehr offene und freundliche Empfang von Mary hat uns gleich ein Gefühl von zu Hause gegeben. Das Ziimmer und das Bad waren sehr sauber und der Speiseraum war sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und vielfältig. Mary hat sich so liebevoll darum bemüht, unseren Aufenthalt zu einer schönen Zeit zu machen und hatte viele Tipps für Ausflüge in der Umgebung. Das Haus liegt sehr abseits auf dem Land. Wer mal etwas Ruhe sucht, ist hier genau richtig! Rundum eine sehr schöne Unterkunft.

This place was hands down one of our favourites on our Ireland trip, and a very nice surprise as we did not expect such a beautiful place and such a great host. The room was in pristine condition, the host truly went above and beyond and the breakfast was one of the best we had; quite literally, perfection. Thank you, Mary, for making this one of the best stays of our trip! The location was also perfect - quiet at night, close to Kilmore Quay, Waterford and surrounding areas.

Es hat alles unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Sehr komfortabel, ruhig, sauber. Das Zimmer und Bad war groß, toll ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Das Frühstück, dass uns zubereitet wurde, war einfach umwerfend und es wurde uns jeder Wunsch erfüllt. Mary ist eine herzensgute und tolle Gastgeberin. Hat uns hilfreiche Tipps und tolle Empfehlungen für Restaurant gegeben, die ebenfalls toll und für Irland erschwinglich waren, bei hervorragender Qualität. Alles in allem eine super Unterkunft und wenn ich könnte, würde ich mehr Sterne geben.😍 Vielen Dank liebe Mary 🤗

Mary is one of the kindest people you could wish to meet - she treated me as a family member and went out of her way to ensure I had a comfortable stay , and made special efforts to find vegan food for me - which is not that easy to find in rural Ireland ! The house was also beautiful as was the very comfortably appointed room.

De vriendelijkheid van de eigenaar, wij werden ontvangen alsof we thuis kwamen, goed advies over de omgeving en een uitstekend restaurant op de terugweg van een bezoek aan Johntowns castle. En het ontbijt was perfect!!
