The warmth and personal care provided by the hosts. The morning walk along the road, beautiful Dhauladhar peak were bonus. Food was amazing.

Breakfast was okay okay as compared to the charges. Not exceptional. House was clean and well maintained.

This is the home stay with a lot of restrictions.. This should have been mentioned clearly on the site. Owner has called and asked for advance money to book perhaps the norms of the booking.com should have been followed if they are registered here. Restrictions were: 1) Cutlery not provided for outside food because they do not have servants. 2) Normal to loud voice or conversation between group are restricted post 10:30pm 3) Suggestions are not welcomed. When we suggested them that this property should be listed as homestay and is not clearly mentioned on site, they didn't respond well. 4) Owner acted as a girls hostel warden instead of warm host :D 5) Guest are not allowed o return to property post 11 pm. 6) Housekeeping service was not there. 7) No room service.

​We had a wonderful 2-night stay at La Maison in Bir. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway that feels like a "home away from home" in the mountains, this is exactly the place to be. ​The location is fantastic, perfectly situated to be accessible yet incredibly quiet and serene. One of the highlights was the beautiful garden, which is the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and soak in the mountain air. ​The rooms were impressively spacious and equipped with all the basic amenities you'd need for a comfortable stay. Beyond the space, the staff and hosts truly made our stay special. Everyone was incredibly warm, polite, and accommodating, going out of their way to be helpful with anything we needed.

We had a wonderful stay at La Maison! Before we arrived, Ranjeet messaged to confirm my booking and checked in on my arrival time. He is also very friendly and helpful in assisting any of my needs, from arranging a driver to recommending where to visit. The house is lovely and beautifully-decorated and the room we had is very clean and comfortable. The hot shower worked well and we appreciate the heater they provided us for free when we mentioned that we were feeling cold on one chilly night. Waking up to the view of snow-capped mountains and paragliders from the room balcony was such a delight too! We felt very taken care of throughout our stay there. Their staff, Piyush cooked us delicious breakfast and dinner. They also accommodated to our preference of having an early simple dinner. Thank you Ranjeet and family for everything! Highly recommend to stay here if you’re planning a trip to Bir.

La Maison is a beautiful bed and breakfast, in a quiet area of Bir. Our hosts were warm and helpful, and we enjoyed the delicious dinner they prepared for us.

We stayed here as a family for two days and had a truly wonderful experience. The home was beautifully designed with stunning Indian-style interiors, art, and décor — warm, cozy, and very spacious. Each bedroom had a private balcony, and the morning sunlight with views of paragliders, farms, and countryside was absolutely magical. Preethi and her family were the most warm and welcoming hosts. They made us feel like we were staying at a relative’s home rather than a homestay. From the amazing chai to thoughtful conversations, travel tips, and genuine care — everything felt so personal and heartfelt. Preethi was especially sweet with my mom, chatting with us about our home in Kerala and making us feel completely at ease. They even gifted us fresh oranges plucked from a friend’s garden — such a generous and thoughtful gesture. The beds were super comfortable, and with heaters and blankets, we stayed cozy even in December. We felt completely safe, well cared for, and truly at home. This stay was one of the highlights of our entire vacation. Highly recommended — we would love to return! ❤️

The property was clean, in a great walkable location, felt super peaceful with beautiful quotes and inspiring books around the house. There was a garden and amazing views of the mountains and paragliders. The family is wonderful and the cooking was delicious. The house was clean and you immediately feel relaxed and at home as soon as you walk in. This was our favorite stay in India by far! This hotel made my partner and I want to move to Bir.

A beautiful property with wonderful hosts! We really enjoyed our stay here, the room was so nice, comfortable and with lovely views and a peaceful terrace next to the garden. Preeti and Ranjeet were welcoming and helpful, and Preeti’s food was some of the best we’ve had during our trip, so delicious! Would definitely recommend having the dinner at home.

It was a beautiful family home that was calm and peaceful after the busyness of Bir. The garden and outlook from our room was beautiful. The room was very clean and was beautifully furnished. The family were friendly and welcoming and they all had excellent English. The breakfast was delicious. We really enjoyed being in a family home.

We had a lovely time at La Maison. It's a beautiful property and is nicely decorated and maintained by Preeti. She is a warm host and served us some nice home-cooked food. The rooms are nice and cozy, and the property has a lot of outdoor space to relax and enjoy the views. It is a 15-minute walk from the landing site.

This is one of the best homestay experiences I've ever had. My top floor room had a beautiful view of the terraces and mountains, including the sunset. The best part of the stay were the warm and hospitable hosts that made me feel like I was part of their family and served the most delicious and fresh breakfasts every morning. The living room was a lovely spot to meet others if you so wished. I enjoyed the location in the more village part of Bir, away from the noisy shopping street but only a 20 minute walk away. I will definitely be back for this amazing Himachali hospitality and energy.

Since global warming weather in BIR has unfortunatly become hot so i think AC is required now in rooms, but overall a lovely place they have built and they are really nice people

I have spent time in properties overlooking Times Square to remote parts of the world but nothing came close to this. It just felt like a second home, the hosts were amazing and the food was excellent.

Lovely helpful and friendly hosts. Wonderful breakfasts cooked to order. Serene location with nice outlook from the upstairs bedroom. Very clean and well kept property.

It was a walk uphill from the main market area where my friends were staying but a great walk going down and obviously good exercise.

The Hosts really made this a fantastic adventure and stay. The home is beautiful and so so clean and well decorated. They made me feel at home even though I arrived many hours early. The breakfasts were great. The mountain view out my window was spectacular. The dog was sweet. There were several outside sitting areas to relax and enjoy the home and surroundings. Walking around town and the farm fields with Preeti the Host was really cool. Got to see people actually growing wheat and tea and barley and small vegetable farms instead of big agriculture like in the U.S.

That I couldn't move in and stay forever. Such a great place and sweet people.

The entire place is very thoughtfully put together, with the look and feel of a true homestay. Every corner, each piece of their decor, the view of snow clad mountains and tea gardens from the windows, the collection of books, the kitchen garden, everything is beautiful. What tops these is the warmth of the hosts. Preeti makes some amazing breakfast, the kind you would set an alarm to wake up for. Every interaction with the family exudes joy, and a sense of calm. If I ever come back to Bir, this would be the place!

I've had close to 50-60 bookings through Booking.com all over the world, but I've only given 10 points once. Now, already twice! Definetely you should to order a dinner as well! It's excelent, but you have to know, its only vegetarian.

I have recently spent nearly 3 weeks having the most wonderful time staying at La Maison. Ranjeet and Preeti are the most lovely caring hosts that anyone could wish for and the staff are also just as lovely. Preeti is the most amazing cook the food was incredibly good and lots of it is from her well kept garden. La Maison is spotless and full of beautiful artwork from all over India, everywhere was very clean, great bathrooms as well and solar hot water all the time. The location is 10/10 set among beautiful terraces, very peaceful with far reaching views of the mountains and a short walk into chaugan or upper Bir. I will certainly be staying at La Maison again. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, it felt very homely can always consider this property for staycations. The food is also very good and the decor is simple yet soo aesthetic.

The owners were super nice people, always ready to lend a hand whenever we ran into any issues or to give us travel advices. The breakfast they served? Absolutely delicious! The whole place had a peaceful vibe and the decor really added a nice touch. We really liked the location of this place, because it was far enough from the center to be silent, yet close enough to reach the restaurants in the center

La Maison B&B is truly a perfect Bed & Breakfast in Bir. The decor is very well done, and the hosts truly make you feel at home. It is conveniently located at a walking distance to cafes and landing area. The hosts help to plan out your entire day and give great suggestions and recommendations. There is a great spread of delicious home-made breakfast and gets you all fueled up for the adventure Bir has to offer. A big thumbs up to La Maison!

If I had to be very critical, the only negative point would be the size of the room. But considering you are out exploring most of the day, it does not matter much.

This property is owned by a really warm couple - Preeti and Ranjeet. Before saying anything about the property, I must say that they make you feel just like home. I planned my stay only for 2 days but kept on postponing it everyday and ended up staying with them for a whole week. Not once I felt like being away from my people. About the house, it's a nicely decorated, well kept and a very comfy place. Sitting area has ample space and number of books to just hang out with for the whole day. Rooms are very well kept and comfortable. The whole vibe of the house is so positive and aesthetic and this is something I loved about this property and yes, the jazz music of course :) Even the surroundings of the house are clean and green. A large field around the house became my favorite place for a stroll. About the food, I got to have not just the breakfast, but lunch and dinner as well and it was delicious. Be it the morning/evening tea or the food that Preeti prepares, I enjoyed it thoroughly. Having dining and tea conversations with them was another add-on. Also got lucky to join in the karaoke session with them and time just flew. If you're looking for a peaceful, aesthetic and a warm place, then this is for you. Nice conversations, fresh and healthy food, fulfilling time - this is what this place is for. Not a loud music or dance party place, rather a leisure time place with a book in hand or watching butterflies fluttering and birds chirping, with nice background music getting played.. Will surely plan my next stay there soon!

This was my 1st homestay experience since I started travelling, and it was truly a home away from the home! Mrs. Preeti took care of all our requirements as host and were so friendly and caring. She was also extremely helpful in planning our days in Bir. BREAKFAST! Freshly made delicacies started our days in the most spectacular way. It was amazingly delicious. The property was spotlessly clean and is very well thought out. Our queen room had direct views of the Dhauladhar range.

One of the finest homely experience we had outside our homes. The place is so nicely done and well kept and to top it all the host Mr.Ranjeet and Mrs.Preeti were so friendly and caring. The breakfast they served was amazing. Daksh their little son entertained not only with his activities but also with his favorite songs during the bon fire session we had. On the whole we had a memorable stay in BIR.

It was a cozy home stay. Preeti ji is very courteous and is very friendly. She will help you with travel options, best ways to travel around. During our stay we tried himachali food and we loved the poori they prepared by fermenting the flour. I would love to stay again.

Cleanliness; Amazing hosts; Great food; Location easily accessible and offers vehicle parking inside the premises. High speed Wifi @ 70Mbps in the room that was more than enough for work related needs. Good collection of books also available for guests to read if they like to.

Super thankful we found this gem of a place. We booked on very short notice (same day) and they were very happy to accommodate us and also cook us an amazing homemade dinner -- which was some of the best food I had during my entire trip to India. The hosts are lovely people, the place itself is wonderful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is staying in the area!

A beautiful, tastefully done, cosy and comfortable stay with warm and loving people. It felt like i returned to my family. Not only is the home beautiful but so are Preeti and her family. They take care of you like you are a part of them. Homemade food with local produce from their own kitchen garden. It was a last moment plan for me and I'm so glad i ended up here. And as an art lover....i found beautiful peaces of art left behind by amazing artists as inspiration. As I heard all their amazing stories a rich experiences i wish I had more time to spend with them. I know where to book next time i visit. 🤗

This is a newly built property which is near to the landing site & main Bir market. The hospitality of the owners Mr Ranjeet Bharadwaj & Mrs Preeti Bharadwaj is unparallel as compared to any other such stays. The property is surrounded by lush green hills of dauladhar where one can see Paragliding being done through out the day. we enjoy our short pleasant & comfortable trip @ this property. We are again going to return back to this place very soon.

Excellent food, high quality interiors, immaculately clean, and really kind hosts. Highly recommended.
