Wisdom Garden Home Stay

We don’t often write reviews, but Wisdom Garden truly deserves one! It’s an amazing place with the loveliest hosts. Vicky speaks great English and is incredibly helpful, also with planning your stay and activities in the area. Her mother is an artist, and you can really feel her creative touch throughout the property, it feels like a little oasis of peace. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, everything is surrounded by greenery, and there are dogs and even a pet duck wandering around. The breakfast is homemade and clearly prepared with lots of love. Such a special place. We absolutely loved our stay!

Vicky è stata davvero gentilissima e ospitale. Abbiamo viaggiato in bicicletta e siamo arrivati in una giornata di pioggia, completamente fradici. Sapendo che saremmo arrivati stanchi e bagnati, si è persino offerta di occuparsi della cena per noi. Inoltre, ci ha lavato e asciugato i vestiti: un gesto davvero prezioso dopo una lunga giornata in bici! La casa è semplicemente favolosa e incredibilmente accogliente, anche grazie ai loro animali, tutti molto educati e simpaticissimi. La famiglia è fantastica e ci siamo sentiti davvero i benvenuti. Mangiare nella loro veranda, circondati dalla natura e dalla frutta del loro giardino, è stata un’esperienza davvero suggestiva. Anche la colazione era ottima: abbondante, ricca di prodotti tipici e perfetta per darci tutta l’energia necessaria per la pedalata che ci aspettava. Una delle cose che abbiamo apprezzato di più sono state le grandi vetrate della camera, che permettono alla natura di “entrare” nella stanza, almeno metaforicamente. Svegliarsi e potersi rilassare osservando il verde e il paesaggio circostante è stato davvero speciale. Un posto che consigliamo assolutamente, non solo per la splendida casa, ma soprattutto per l’ospitalità, la gentilezza e il calore di Vicky e della sua famiglia.

Tolle Gastgeber und ein total gemütliches BnB mit sehr gemütlichen Zimmern in einer wunderschönen und ruhigen Lage. Das Frühstück war unglaublich gut und wir hatten sehr nette Gespräche mit der Gastgeberin Vicky und ihren Eltern. Haben am Ende auf fünf Tage verlängert, weil wir uns so wohl gefühlt haben und die Gegend Rund um Yuli sehr viel zu bieten hat. Bester Stop für uns in ganz Taiwan. Würden jederzeit wieder buchen.

A quiet, peaceful and beautiful environment. The House is nicely decorated and welcoming. And the host Family was genuinly kind, helpfull and fun and so were the pets ! It’s a must go in yuli. We Hope to come back one day.

We had a wonderful stay at Wisdom Garden Home Stay! Everything from the decor to the breakfast was done with so much care and love, the whole family (including the dogs and boazi) are incredibly kind and welcomed us with open arms. We can only recommend to stay here and enjoy the surrounding nature. Thank you for having us!

非常喜歡這一次的住宿，早餐的燒餅和梅子很好吃，主人家恰到好處的熱情。鴨子很可愛環境很舒服。房間的窗戶很大很漂亮，看出去都是綠色的就很讓人心曠神怡。尤其是房間的床超讚～我忘記拍一下床墊的牌子了，真是可惜！

浴室的水有點小，但我覺得瑕不掩瑜，這麼漂亮的民宿，水小一點也沒關係啦～

Lovely stay, we wish we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was the best we had, not only because the cute duck was there! ;) Very comfortable bed and it was so quiet during the night. Friendly and helpful staff with perfect English. Hope to come back one day!

Himmel auf Erden. Das war die liebste Unterkunft, die wir je auf Reisen hatten. Alles hat gestimmt: die Gastgeber waren so lieb (haben uns gefahren und immer super beraten), man hat sich sofort wohl gefühlt, ich habe noch nie so ein ausgewogenes Frühstück in einer Unterkunft gehabt, die Tiere (vor allem Baozi und der Kater) haben uns begeistert, die Lage mitten in der Natur ist ein Traum, wir haben ein Upgrade bekommen und dann habe ich auf dem Walami Trail (Empfehlung) auch noch einen Heiratsantrag bekommen. Rundum perfekter Aufenthalt, danke ❤️ Ich hoffe, wir kommen irgendwann einmal zurück!

民宿主人一家都很親切，民宿的地點、位置、空氣跟風景都相當休閒很有渡假的氣氛。住在這裡，雖然離市區遠了一點點，但是整個假期都會非常的放鬆！ 早餐非常健康營養＇女主人用在地食材親自烹飪的，黑咖啡也風味醇濃。主人方便的時候會幫忙接駁，非常的感謝！

Beautiful property with so much care and love put into every single thing. The room was immaculately cleaned and decorated with the mom designing lots of it her self. The bed was the comfiest ever and the shower was lovely! good layout too so the rest of the bathroom didn't get soaked after showering. The beautiful garden shone and the massive windows allowed a perfect view. The breakfast was amazing too with lots of homegrown vegetables and fruit! Vicky was amazing and helpful with everything from our scooter hire to ideas on where to go and what to do and eat!

Japanese Quad room: I hardly ever give a 10 rating but this place really deserves it. It was the nicest accommodation out of 10 different properties where I stayed this time in Taiwan. The room is cozy, bright, beautiful with a peaceful energy. There are 9 windows in the room ! The Tatami bedroom was a bliss with very comfortable mattresses. The breakfast was delicious and was presented in a beautiful way. The host family was very friendly, kind and interesting. The house is located in a beautiful , natural and quiet surrounding. The garden felt very comfortable and the sound of frogs and crickets in the evening created a soothing soundtrack.

Es hat uns einfach alles gefallen - tolle Lage im Grün, Zimmer mit vielen Fenstern und tollem Geschmack eingerichtet. Ganz nette Menschen +🦆 und sensationell leckeres Frühstück. Der perfekte Kontrast nach den vielen Großstädten.

Bed was uncomfortable and awkward to get in and out of for a couple. Also thought maybe throw pillows would help to make the furniture in the bedroom more comfortable and cozy

We stayed for two days in the Japanese-style room and had a wonderful experience ! The setting of the homestay is pleasant, peaceful, and surrounded by nature, making it a perfect place to relax. We highly appreciated the warm and very human welcome we received : Vicky and her parents are exceptionally kind and caring hosts, attentive and happy to share conversations with their guests :) The local breakfast was another highlight, delicious and prepared with great care. Thank you again to Vicky and her parents for these great moments!

We truly loved everything about this place. We spent two nights here, and it was a very pleasant stay. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and truly authentic. Vicky and her parents are incredibly kind, generous, and full of great advice. The breakfast was amazing, and we were even offered a dinner with delicious local specialties, which made the experience even more special. We felt very welcome and would definitely recommend this place.

We loved everything. The location was great. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. The house itself is beautiful and well-maintained. We traveled as a family of 4, with 2 young kids. The family owns a few pets (including a very friendly duck) which we all loved. The breakfast was delicious (a lot sourced from their own gardens). Look no further, and book this for your stay. Thank you, Vicki and family, for having us. It is one of the best places we have ever stayed, and hope to return one day.

It was without any doubt our best accommodation during our 14 days traveling across Taiwan. Everything was absolutely excellent - garden, room, breakfast, surrounding (close to Walami trail, for example). Communication with staff, esp. Vicky, was perfect. We felt like at home, the service and approach from the whole family was outstanding.

That our stay there was just only two nights. Would like be there two weeks minimally :).

Our favourite stay in all of Taiwan. Beautiful property and super-gorgeous room. The owners are amazingly nice and special people, we had such a great time with them. Also - the Walami Trail is a short drive from here and is BEAUTIFUL.

This was a perfect stay. It was our "splurge" stay on our roadtrip and absolutely worth it. The property is idyllic, perched at the top of a hill and beautifully landscaped. The interiors are exquisitely designed: homey, unique, just the right vintage touches to make the place feel so unique and cozy. The family running the BnB is so lovely and made a fabulous breakfast.

The BnB is at the top of a hill with a narrow road, with nothing else around (that's the joy of it!). Recommend eating dinner in town or pre-arranging a dinner with the hosts, if you think you may not want to go out at night and drive into Yuli town (around ~15 min drive).

The hosts are so friendly and lovely. The breakfast is amazing. The animals are cute. The location is peaceful and beautiful. What is not to love?!

We loved everything. It felt very homey, comfortable. The beds were comfortable. It was very peaceful up in the jungle. The food was fantastic and the hosts are the best. The hosts helped us with daily transportation as we did not have a car.

Possibly the best guest house experience we've ever had travelling! Vicky and her family are the most easy going and helpful hosts, the breakfast is delicious and our room was entirely delightful. Couldn't recommend highly enough!

The best acomodation We have stayed. The owners are really nice people. The house is unique with huge number of details which we admired. Beautiful garden with nice pets. We would love to stay longer. It is in nature.5km from town.

Das Wisdom Garden ist ein Home Stay, wie es sein sollte. Man kann sich wirklich zuhause fühlen. Das japanisch eingerichtete Zimmer ist wunderschön und geräumig. Die Tiere sind süss. Das Frühstück ist wirklich aussergewöhnlich gut. Es war auch gar kein Problem, dass wir beide vegan essen. Am einfachsten kommt man wohl mit dem Auto. Die Familie bietet aber auch an, dass sie Personen in Yuli am Bahnhof abholt. Das Highligt ist aber sicher die Familie selbst, die eine Gastfreundschaft lebt, wie wir sie selten erlebt haben. Insgesamt war das sicher unsere liebste Unterkunft in Taiwan. Wohl sogar die beste unser achtmonatigen Weltreise. Unbedingt zu empfehlen!

Our japanese style room was perfect and really large. The garden around the house is beautiful. Our host Vicky and her parents were so nice, the daily breakfast was delicious. Vickys recommendations for restaurants and cafes were fantastic. I can highly recommend this accommodation!

The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I really appreciate that. Lovely garden with a great view, and the owners grow their own bananas and pomelos that they share with guests. Food and drinks were available. I would love to stay there again.

We loved the tranquil location and were very grateful for the warm hospitality of Vicky and her parents.

Everything. The family that runs it could not be more warm and welcoming. The evening I arrived I was invited out to dinner and treated to some local cuisine that was delicious. After dinner I was invited to have tea. The property is gorgeous. The room was quite large and very comfortable with air conditioning and a fan if necessary. I enjoyed relaxing in the room with the windows open. I can't say enough positive things about my experience.

The host family is so warm and welcoming, that we immediately felt at home away from home. May is a fantastic cook, her friend rice and turmeric tofu are absolutely delicious. Oh, May is also an artist. Her artwork is simply beautiful. If you interested in Buddhism - talk to her, she definitely has some stories to tell. Vicky was so helpful with planning our activities in the area, and arranging transportation for us. All our trips were just perfect! But you know who really own the place?! Baozi the Duck. Yes, a house duck, who roaming around between breakfast tables and loves chatting to his guests. He is such a character!

The room we stayed was spatial, and the property was overall kept very clean and tidy, we love the surrounding as it tacked in a nature preserve area, I also love the quietness that nature brought to us.

We had a fantastic stay. Breakfast is amazing, the rooms are clean, open, and comfortable, and our hosts were wonderful. The gorgeous property, cat, dogs, and duck did not disappoint either.

In the countryside, garden setting. Exceptionally hospitable family. Vicky speaks perfect English and is always willing to help with anything you need. I came on my bicycle, the hill is fine. The extra effort is worth it. They selling cold drinks and pot noodles if you arrive without dinner.

Nur eine Nacht dort zu sein.

Wisdom Garden was the highlight of our 2 week trip through Taiwan. Location and the house itself is superb. The moment you se foot in this beautiful house you feel at home and welcome. The interior of the house is very unique and artsy. You can definitely see that the owner has had a career as graphic designer. The house in in the middle of nature and is surrounded by a beautifully maintained garden. The family that owns and runs the place goes beyond everything to make you at ease and make sure to take care of you. Vickey and her mom are truly amazing. People you will not forget easily. Room is great. Lots of space. The bed is a tiny bit small for two tall Dutch persons, but still slept like a rose. Breakfast everyone morning is delicious, fresh and local. It differs every morning. Last highlight of this stay but not the least, is the pet Duck that wonders around the facilities and gives a very homie and cute vibe during your stay.
