Great location, lovely host, clean and comfortable lodging, comfy bed, great breakfast and the only proper dog friendly stay so far, with dog beds, towels, bowls, as well as a fenced dog run behind the house. Even a bin for dog poo and NO extra fee for dogs! First class!!!

Diria que es una mica allunyat es troba gairebe al final d’un camí d’un sol carril. Al entrar olora bastant a gos ja que viuen allà pero no entren al hall o zones d’estada i no afecta al 1er pis que es on es troben les habitacions.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026A great stay at Leroy's lodge. A big and clean ensuite bedroom with windows that has lovely views over the lake and all surrounding mountains. It's great to open the windows for fresh air whilst admiring the views. Loved the furniture style. Comfortable bed. The bedroom is even equipped with pet beds and bowls. Good breakfast. Great host. Great location to visit around. As it's a cul de sac, it's a real peaceful location for a good rest. Place to be recommended

Reviewed Jun 28, 2026Perfect location with breathtaking scenery, overlooking Lough Corrib. Super comfortable and big bedroom, spacious garden where you can walk and play with your dog. The owners provide dogs bed, towel or bowl if you forget yours! Fantastic atmosphere and delicious breakfast with homemade elderflower jam. Highly recommend.

Ondanks dat we het wisten was het toch wel erg afgelegen. We hadden al lang autogereden en toen moesten we weer 10km -14 min. autorijden naar restaurant en later weer terug.

The breakfast was delicious, good choices and carefully prepared. The host was lovely and friendly. Very welcoming to the dog as well, providing bowls and bed for him too! I would definitely recommend!!

Reviewed May 18, 2026Prachtig plekje, gerund door een aardige Host. Ontbijt was met alles er op en er aan. We kwamen niets te kort.
Bij binnenkomst viel het ons op dat er een aparte geur hing in de gang. Gelukkig in de kamer niet. Maar 's ochtends aan het ontbijt roken wij het nog steeds. De Host heeft 3 ontzettend grote honden, die weliswaar niet in de algemene ruimtes komen, maar ondanks dat hing er toch een aparte lucht. Nu ben ik niet allergies voor honden, maar ik kan mij zo voorstellen dat iemand die dat wel is en niet weet dat daar honden verblijven, zij deze B&B niet aanbevelen, Verder moet gezegd worden dan alle ruimtes waar wij in konden super schoon waren.

We enjoyed the traditional Irish breakfast and more! Plenty of hot water, great water pressure, like new facilities. Bed was very comfortable in the room we stayed in. Gorgeous views.

The room was a bit hot (thanks to a heat wave) so it would have been nice to have a fan. The room was also hosting quite a few spiders with even more outside blocking our ability to open the window (we are borderline arachnophobic). Obviously the host has no control over the heat and 'wildlife' but it did make the stay a bit less comfortable.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026La zona es muy tranquila. En la proximidad hay unas vistas preciosas con un faro muy chulo. El desayuno estuvo muy bien y fue muy variado, con mermeladas caseras, fruta, tostadas y otras cosas además del típico desayuno irlandés. Habitación muy amplia y confortable.
Puede resultar complejo llegar a la casa sin gps. Resulta incómodo tener que coger el coche para ir a cenar o ir a tomar una cerveza, pero eso no nos resultó problemático porque queríamos descansar. El anfitrión es muy amante de los perros pero en ningún momento nos resultaron molestos. Los tenía apartados de los huéspedes en todo momento.

Reviewed Sep 15, 2025Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend! Das Zimmer war top und es lagen sogar alle notwendigen Dinge für den Hund bereit. Unser Hund Pepper hat sich sofort mit den drei Hunden der Gastgeber angefreundet und ist auf der Hundewiese, die zur Lodge gehört, viel mit ihnen gelaufen.
Die Lodge liegt ein wenig abgelegen und ist nicht ganz einfach zu finden.

Reviewed Aug 25, 2025Esta cerca del lago con dificil acceso a pie, pese a estar a unos 100 metros, ya que todo el alrededor es privado, si quieres ir andando, tendrás que ir por la carretera media hora andando a unos 2'5km, la casa esta muy bien, lugar muy tranquilo, habitación muy amplia, la nuestra muy muy amplia, cama cómoda y baño en la habitacion, buenas vistas desde la nuestra habitacion en el piso superior, parking dentro de la finca, nos dejaron cenar, lo que nosotros compramos en el supermercado, tipo picoteo en el salón donde sirven el desayuno, buen Wi-Fi, el desayuno con varias opciones, buenísimo y gran cantidad de productos, desayuno Inglés,yogures fruta, queso,embutidos,mermeladas, etc tienen tres perros raza setter Irlandes, pero los tienen en un lugar separado de la casa.

I was under the impression we would be on the lake or have a view. It is a single home, with No view. It was a15-20 minute drive from Headford on a single track road. The first thing you smell when you enter the property is dog. I am very allergic to animals so I was afraid my asthma would develop. But the animals are not in the rooms or in the breakfast room. Everything was very clean. I was still uncomfortable because of the smell. So was my husband. The owner is nice, friendly and accommodating. His dogs do not make a peep. Not one bark. They are very well trained. I think if you are a dog owner this might be more acceptable.
