Great host, breakfast was lovely with a very good ordering system (We had to attend an event early so was ideal to have the breakfast ready at the time we wanted without waiting. Room was very good value for the price

I really liked everything about the hotel apart from the noise. I was on the first floor and could hear someone eating and the TV playing on the ground floor. There is basically no sound insulation at all 😂

Excellent facilities amazing hospitality and A* breakfast

It is a beautifully renovated building, and Matt, the owner, is a very friendly man. The breakfast was excellent, and there are several restaurants within a six-minute drive where you can enjoy a meal in the evening. A fantastic place to stay!

Matt, the owner of the property was exceptionally attentive, and every need was catered for.

There wasn't anything to dislike.

The host was welcoming, the accommodation was of the highest standard and the breakfast was the best we have had in a long time . Look forward to returning soon.

We stayed at Augherea 17/07/26. Everything was exceptional. A beautiful room with amazing bathroom. A little balcony, with the sheep for company. Matt was an excellent host , even offering us a lift into town . Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked in front of us . 10/10

Lovely comfortable modern property. Matt the host was very accommodating as we had to leave before breakfast time he prepared fruit salad and croissants for us and porridge for my son who was competing in a race he made him porridge which he could heat in microwave . He even put microwave in the room for us. Beds very comfortable and clean.

We had a great stay! Everything was super clean, and Matt was a fantastic host. The quiet, secluded location was perfect for unwinding while exploring the region. We'd happily stay here again!

Alkes was perfect. Het enige minpuntje is dat de B&B niet op loopafstand van een plaatsje ligt. Auto is nodig.

nice peaceful spot located behind a large farm house. impecable views verey close to a couple of Bar/Restaurants nearby. The breakfast was very diverse, i liked the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon.

Beautifully restored old building with all the modern comforts. Ideal location quite and peaceful. I really enjoyed my stay and hopefully ill be back again.

The property a well maintained coach house conversion. The rooms are bright and airy. It is in a tranquil location outside the busy market town of Longford. It’s surrounded by fields and I was lucky to see new lambs with their mothers.

The only observation I’d make is that it would be useful to have a coffee machine in the bedroom, or alternatively one that guests could use in the living area, however, there are tea and coffee facilities in each bedroom room.

We arrived by night, into a courtyard which was well lit, with the backdrop of the building. It was an old coach and stable loving restored and converted into bedrooms upstairs and the kitchen, dining and sitting room downstairs. Spacious, clean, old, modern, a home from home.

The weather. If the weather had been better, it would have been amazing to open the windows and enjoy the bird song.

Matt was an excellent host, warm, attentive, and incredibly welcoming. He made the whole stay feel relaxed and personal, checking in without ever being intrusive. His friendly manner and attention to detail really added to the experience. The accommodation was spotless throughout. The bedroom, private bathroom, and all shared areas were fresh, well presented, and clearly maintained to a very high standard. The facilities were excellent. My room was comfortable with a private bathroom, free WiFi that worked well, and thoughtful touches that made the space feel homely. The property also offered convenient, free on‑site private parking and luggage storage, which made travelling much easier. Everything was laid out with guests in mind. I slept very well. The bed was comfortable, the room temperature was just right, and the surroundings were quiet. The peaceful setting and cosy accommodation made for a restful night. Breakfast was superb. There was plenty of choice, and the quality was excellent. Matt was happy to offer more if I wanted it, and the service was friendly and relaxed. It was a lovely way to start day. Without hesitation I would stay again. Augherea House offers comfort, great hospitality, and excellent value. I’d be more than happy to return.

Everything about this stay was excellent 👌 A beautiful building. It was warm, clean, spacious, quiet, and scenic. Matt the owner left no stone unturned. He was an excellent host and provided an 👌 breakfast. A lovely overnight stay was had.

An excellent B&B. Beautiful building with a really large bedroom. Bathroom was equally large, with a lovely bath. The breakfast was delicious and the recommendations of local restaurants was much appreciated and spot on. Would definitely stay again.

The owner was very polite and attentive and the accommodation was spotless. The breakfast was also excellent.

This was our second stay at the property, and without a doubt we will be returning again soon. Each stay has been exceptional, and the host, Matt, has gone above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and relaxing experience. From the warm greeting at the door, to the beautiful bedrooms, to the breakfast freshly made in front of you by Matt. Everything was perfect. The location is amazing, surrounded by peace and quiet. Incredible value for money and highly recommended to anyone. Matt is a genuinely kind host who truly cares about his guests.

Excellent value for money. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom had clean modern fittings and was very roomy. The shower was spacious and there was also a free standing bath. The room had everything we needed. There was plenty of parking outside of the property and we were greeted by the host Will, who was very accommodating. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and delicious, with quality ingredients. The location was easy to find and very quiet. We would definitely stay there again.

The noise.....wooden floors! Creaky floor boards. Could hear all that was happening downstairs... conversation, music . Very thin walls.

Everything. Fantastic small quiet B&B in the countryside just outside Longford town. Huge room and bathroom decorated exceptionally well. Everything you could want in a B&B. Great breakfast served by the owner Matt. Great price. If you have a designated driver, don't go near the sub standard (compared to here) and far more expensive places to stay in the area.

Our room was very comfortable, so clean, with a view over a beautiful walled garden and a magnificent tree. We slept well and woke up to a fantastic breakfast and chat with our host Matt. This is a special place, and though we had a quick stay we'd highly recommend it.

Very little, and if I was being picky, I'd like some mint tea and mugs in the bedroom please. Access to those very comfy looking couches in the breakfast area might be nice too!

My 5-night stay was lovely: the room was very comfortable; the breakfasts were delicious; & the location was very convenient to numerous historical sites. Additionally, Matt was a super host who took the time to identify potential sites to visit, with some that I had not read about in guidebooks.

Everything! The attention to detail, the bathroom to die for, the mattress & duvet, water in the kettle & a message to tell me there was water/milk in the fridge downstairs. Loved that I could see Matt making my breakfast & have a lovely chat too 😀

The accommodation was perfect! Beautiful bed linen and an extremely comfortable bed, everything was just lovely!! We had a very spacious bedroom and the bathroom was wonderful with a beautiful free standing bath, we could not fault it. The property itself has been so beautifully renovated, the decor throughout is stunning in its simplicity and quality .
