Reviewed Aug 6, 2026Excellent location and very friendly and accommodating staff. The views from the room were just perfect, and the breakfast was better than many hotels. The room was big, spotless and very comfortable. Very peaceful overall which is exactly what I was looking for! The village is within walking distance (about 30 minutes) and it has a couple of restaurants and pubs. The walk was pleasant, right by the sea.

I have never encountered such a rude hostess throughout my entire trip! Let’s start with the fact that they serve breakfast starting at 8 a.m. (normal hotels serve it from 7:00 or 7:30). We asked for breakfast at least 15 minutes earlier because we had to leave early. The hostess practically threw the plates at us as if we were dogs; the portions were small, and the food quality was poor. She didn't provide any coffee or tea. When we wanted to pour ourselves some water, she said it wasn't for us. To make matters worse, she shouted right in my face, telling me to shut up, claiming it was her house and she would serve breakfast whenever she pleased. Another thing that made me laugh was their claim that it hadn't rained there for six weeks, so they asked us not to use the shower—or, if we did, to use very little water. This is completely absurd, considering the amount of rainfall in Ireland. I also have doubts about the cleanliness of the bed linen; I don't think it gets changed for every guest. I certainly do not recommend staying here. These people have no idea what hospitality and courtesy are.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026The hosts, Gloria and Heidi, were responsive and communication was good. They were both extremely helpful with any questions we had. The waterside location was beautiful and well placed for what we wanted to do in the area. The property was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast the next day was delicious.
No, it was exactly what we had expected and was great value for money.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Sehr süßes und gepflegtes B&B! Wir hatten ein gemütliches Zimmer mit wunderschöner Aussicht auf die Bucht. Die Gastgeberin Heidi war sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend. Zudem gab es ein sehr gutes Frühstück - für die die es mögen Irish Breakfast, aber auch ein kleines aber feines Fruhstücksbuffet. Ein toller Aufenthalt. Wir kommen garantiert wieder! Reviewed Jul 20, 2026A great location on the banks of Dunmanus Bay. Such a shame the council had made a mess of re-surfacing the road in the hotel weather. Our host Gloria was a very nice and friendly host, bringing us a jug of cold squash, after a long hot ride on our motorcycles. The B&B has a free private car park, the only downside for us with big heavy bikes being, it's up a hill behind the property and loose gravel.
Unfortunately, we were not impressed with the size of the room, with very little space to hang our gear and barely anywhere to put our luggage. It would be ok for a solo traveller. The en-suite was similarly cramped, particularly the toilet, which started leaking the morning we left.

Reviewed Jul 11, 2026Nice place and amazing hosts. Heidi, Gloria, Frank and family were very welcoming. Well-managed and neat rooms. Beautiful view from the room that we had. We had to do breakfast in a rush, but they had many good options, very healthy ones. Parking is uphill next to the property, and good space available. No issues there. Definitely recommended.
Iron had some dust over the plate (between plate and the main body), which often clung to the edges of the cloth when ironing underneath them.

Reviewed Jun 30, 2026The view of the water was peaceful and beautiful. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating. The inn and our room was very clean. Breakfast was delicious. Italian dinner in town was exceptional. Close to many beautiful spots to visit.
We had a front room and coming from a quiet rural area we found the cars driving by to be loud at times.

My Dad and I really enjoyed the location, being the perfect balance of rural but also having pub options up and down the coast, with our favourite spot being the Tin Pub in Ahakista. The room had everything we needed and the view from our bathroom was delightful.

Reviewed May 29, 2026Die Gastgeber Mutter und Tochter waren überaus nett und sehr freundlich. Ein schöner Frühstücksraum mit einem entsprechend feinen Frühstück lässt den Tag positiv beginnen. Der Standort hat einen eigenen grossen Parkplatz oberhalb des Hauses. Der Blick auf das Meer und die vielen Vogelstimmen- immer wieder schön. Das Haus selber ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und dennoch gut gepflegt.
Für ein gutes Abendessen ist ein Auto zwingend.

Reviewed Aug 31, 2025Le lit était annoncé "very large double bed" alors qu'il ne mesurait que 150 cm de large....ce qui pour nous ne correspond ni à un queen 1m60, ni à un King 1m80. Nous avons donc très peu et mal dormi. Par rapport à un double bed de 1m20’, c'est effectivement plus grand, mais on flirte avec la tromperie sur la prestation. D'une manière générale très difficile de trouver la taille des lits quand on veut réserver sur Booking. Ne pouvez vous pas imposer aux hébergements de donner la largeur des lits en cm, et ne pas vous contenter de descriptions plus ou moins vagues et donc trompeuses: large, double, large double, very large double, etc, chacun donnant aux mots le sens qui lui convient. L'hôte a essayé de nous vendre son lit comme un King irlandais, ce qui n'a aucun sens, un King étant mondialement connu comme un 180
