Ash House Bed and Breakfast

Lovely accommodation, very quiet and peaceful in the countryside, very clean, we had a fantastic breakfast, beds were very comfortable and had a great sleep, Tony and Theresa were very welcoming and helpful. The price was very good value for four people, Would definitely come back again if in the area.

Couldn't work the TV, couldn't find the remote control.

Everything was perfect for us for our one night in the apartment, very clean and comfortable. Tony, the host was very helpful.

Everything we love staying here at Ash House. The hosts are friendly & we always look forward to breakfast.

The cottage was lovely, very clean and all ready on arrival, nice to have sheep outside the window, the kids loved it. Tracey and Tony were so welcoming and the breakfast was lovely. Will definitely be returning next year. Thank you

Llegamos a las 2 de la madrugada porque el vuelo se retrasó, avisamos. A pesar que la reserva era para cinco adultos, las camas estaban preparadas para 4 personas. Tuvimos que buscar las sábanas y mantas ( costó bastante encontrar) y hacían 9 grados de temperatura y no nos dejaron la calefacción encendida. Hacía mucho frío

Friendly hosts we loved waking up to the beautiful views of cows in the field and in the morning greeted the dog outside the window for a friendly hello pat. We didn't add breakfast as we were visiting family who picked us up so cannot comment on this. Would definitely return as spot on for us. I really enjoyed our stay. Thank you

There was nothing to dislike that it suited our needs as we were visiting family close by so all great for us to come and go as please.

Lovely owners and quick to respond. Very accommodating, allowing us to check in earlier so we could get ready for the wedding we were attending nearby.

Het is een prachtig, charmant huis met een schitterende tuin in een wondermooie omgeving. Langs elk raam hadden we een ongelooflijk mooi uitzicht. De kamers waren ruim en mooi. We hadden voor ons gezin 2 kamers en kregen toegang tot 2 badkamers en een eigen woonkamer. Dit was zeer aangenaam. Het ontbijt was ongelooflijk lekker en veel. We hadden keuze uit verschillende soorten ontbijt en ze waren allemaal even lekker!

Het huis kraakt erg veel, dus elke stap die we zetten hoor je door heel het huis. Nadat we 10 min waren toegekomen, werd ons al weinig begripvol gezegd dat de kindjes stiller moesten zijn. Ze waren echter niet overdreven luid of wild aan het spelen. Ze waren natuurlijk wel enthousiast over de mooie kamer na uren in de auto zitten. Sindsdien hebben we hen telkens gevraagd op hun tenen te lopen en te fluisteren, wat niet zo heel fijn is natuurlijk... Het was wel heel jammer dat ons verblijf daardoor wat minder aangenaam startte... Want het is echt een prachtige locatie! Dus absoluut een aanrader als je geen kinderen hebt of wanneer je kinderen niet praten of bewegen...

It was a convenient location as we were going to a wedding locally.

I didnt realise breakfast was extra and we weren't offered the opportunity to buy one. Not idea, but when we arrived it maybe should have been a question we were asked as it would have been nice the next morning.

Tony and Therese were very friendly. The accomodation was exactly what we expected. The breakfast was excellant

Breakfast was good for 12 euros each. Property is in the country, so quiet.

I would suggest them supplying some fluffier pillows. They were very flat, hard if you're not a back sleeper.

For €242 for myself and two teenagers for one night, I was disappointed that there wasn’t breakfast included. I realise that this is standard throughout Ireland now but I think it’s just mean. Breakfast wouldn’t cost them €20 to feed us all. Otherwise it was excellent.

Quiet location, very relaxing amd waking up to sounds of animals was a great experience. Comfortable, spacious cottage for my family of five. Fully equipped kitchen and open plan dining/living room, very cosy. Lovely gardens and grounds. Beds were comfortable and towels and toiletries provided. Complimentary tea/coffee also provided.

Nothing much not to like. Just a little feedback to make it even better is that some utensils and cutlery missing, so need replacing. A small milk to have with tea/coffee would have also been nice.

El paisaje de alerededor era precioso y en calma. Además, la atención de los dueños fue muy amable y atenta.

Al no servir comidas/cenas y estar apartado de poblaciones donde se pudiera coger comida, se hizo un poco complicado poder realizarlo, sobre todo yendo con niños pequeños

Die Eigentümer sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, es gab eine gute Auswahl und man konnte jederzeit etwas nachbestellen. Schlafzimmer, Bad und Wohnraum waren schön und sauber.

This is certainly the first time we have booked a "BED & BREAKFAST" that does not serve... breakfast unless you send an email in advance to request it. In fact, the owner (a very unpleasant character, by the way) does this to reduce the commission to his booking platform. Unlike any other accommodation, a separate request must therefore be made. According to the owner, we were supposed to get an email outlining the procedure, but we never received anything. In any case, that is no excuse since it would have been so easy for him to ask us when we arrived the day before in the mid-afternoon. Pathetic. The icing on the cake, when we complained about his total lack of customer service, his only reaction was to threaten to call the police!

This beautiful house is located in lovely and calm area surrounded by sheep ranches and next to medieval monuments and only 45 minutes away from Dublin/Airport. The house is clean, spacious and Tony, the host, is super kind. Great place to stay for a night before coming back home.

Quiet house with a beautiful view and great hosts.

We stayed in the two bedroom suite. Great location, very comfortable rooms. First time staying with kids in a B&B. We were wondering how the layout would work for us. This was an ideal set up, both rooms side by side, lockable doors and a shared bathroom in between the rooms. Meaning that kids could access our room via the bathroom in the middle of the night if needs be. Our host - Tony was very welcoming and friendly. We had a sitting room, with TV & Tea making facilities also. Beautiful home, welcoming hosts, affordable rooms for a family of 5 compared to other options available.

Stayed here for the night after expecting our house sale to close but our purchase not to close until the next day. Ash house is only 15 mins away from Kildare and was looking for something comfortable for myself, my wife and 3 children. This house is located up a country road, in a long driveway, didn't get there until 9pm where I met Tony, the host.. who seems like a lovely gentleman.. The house itself is fabulous, we had a 2 bed suite that had 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a lounge area with tea/coffee making facilities. It was a cold wet night but the house was roasting inside, real snug on a night like it was, I was burned out after the day and slept like a baby. Cleanliness wise is a 10/10, pristine and think i paid 118 euro to sleep a family of 5, if that's not value in this day and age then I dont know what is.. didn't see Tony the next day, just let ourselves out and that was it.. but can only recommend this stay..

We stayed one night, as we were in area for a family get together. The location was perfect, check in was efficient, friendly & helpful. The apartment is spacious and spotless. Lovely homely feeling and tastefully decorated. Would highly recommend.

Nice quiet safe location

Lovely place and people. The host (Tony) was welcoming and pleasant to communicate with. Proximity to Kildare Shopping Village is convenient. Drivable to Dublin (just under an hour). Would return in a heartbeat.

The cottage was immaculate. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming. And the quality for price is some of the best we have encountered
